My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Jess: "Engineers are ready to start the project. We have already checked all the related doc.u.ments, its all-clear from our side. The representatives have yet to come and examine the place but we can start the base work. I discussed it with them and they gave us a green signal for starting the work. This is all."

John: "Good. Then let's end the meeting here. Form tomorrow, the team one will start working on the project until further instructions. The other two teams will mobilize after the representative meeting."

John and Jess walked out of the meeting room. She followed him into his office. The river project was very important for the company. She worked very hard with her team to find any loopholes. John was very impressed by her. He left this project in her care and interfered only when necessary.

John went and sat on his chair and indicated Jess to sit as well.

"No thanks boss, I have reported everything. Tomorrow we need to go there so I will schedule no meetings till lunch. After lunch, the schedule will be reported to you. I will take my leave then sir."

John just looked at her and had a slight smirk on his face.

"Why are you in a hurry, Ms. Blevins?"

"Sir, I need to work and have a lot of doc.u.ments to revise before sending it to you for final approval."

"Ms. Blevins, why are you working so hard for my company?"

"Sir, I think you should be happy that I am working so hard for the company, you are lucky to find such a dedicated employee and not to forget, this company will belong to me in the future, so it is natural that will I work hard for it," She said with a wink.

John laughed at her words, "Indeed. Now I know why Mrs. Parker is working so hard for the company, after all, it is for personal interest."

Jess's cheeks burned red when she heard him call her 'Mrs. Parker'. She cleared her throat to hide her embarrassment.

"Yes, I definitely would harder for my hubby to work tension free." After saying this she immediately turned and without giving him any further chance to speak, she told him that she was leaving and left the place in a hurry.

John was stunned. Yes, he started teasing her but he never thought that she would say those words. He froze when he heard her call him 'hubby'. He was laughing like a fool, thinking about days he would spend with her. On the other hand, Jess boldly said those words in front of him and now fled the scene with a tail between her legs.

"Oh my god! Now I have nowhere to escape." She tried to calm down herself and went back to work.

After work, John was talking Jess to a place. Throughout the ride, they both seemed to want to tell each other something but didn't say anything. Jess was looking out of the window to avoid eye contact. John noticed this but didn't say anything.

Jess saw that the roads now had more trees lined and it looked beautiful. She turned to look at John. He was focused on driving, looking ahead.

"Want to say something?" John startled Jess out her thoughts.

"No... I mean yes." Jess shook her head, "Where are we going?"

"I already said to you that it is a surprise. Be patient." He looked at her and replied with a faint smile. He was sure that she was going to love his surprise.
