My Ultimate Ambition

Jellola terrace garden is a popular rendezvous for lovers and couples alike. It has a beautiful and refreshing scenery that keeps you full just by looking at them.

The outlet and inlet is littered with flower pots of different species. Majority are rare in that part of the country and only a handful are familiar.

Prince Soon arrived early for the date in order to choose the best spot for viewing and admiring the place. He chose the spot closest to the flowers with purple colour as the flowers were arranged according to their colours.

Being alone, he started reminiscing about what happened earlier that morning at the palace and chuckled at the shocked face of his eunuch when he told him blatantly that he was leaving the palace.

He warned him not to use the excuse of 'the crown prince is stark n.a.k.e.d' again to stop visitors from visiting him but rather he should tell them he is not accepting any visitors at the moment.

The chief eunuch almost fainted from fright when his master was telling him about the date that he swore to stop him even if he stakes his life.

"Your highness, this lowly servant will place his head on a platter for you but... please don't leave the palace, if the empress finds out about it ,he will punish the girl and her family members"

Recollecting that he hasn't asked about the status of the said girl, he asked him

"Your highness, unless the girl is a daughter of a very high ranking official, l plead that you should stop right now in order not put her in trouble"

The crown prince remained silent as it occurred to him that he doesn't know much about the girl, not that her status will stop him from making her his wife anyway.

Seeing the hesitation on the face of his master, the chief eunuch confirmed his suspicions and cried out loud while holding unto the hem of his robe but his master brushed his hands away and said

"Chief eunuch, l know that you are worried about me ,but I want you to know this... She will soon be your crown princess"

He lifted his head and gazed at his master only to see determination written on his face, defeated by the crown prince stubbornness, he prayed that the empress doesn't come to find out that her son is misbehaving.

Woe betide them if she knows the crown prince is leaving the palace secretly, and doom consume them when she also finds out it's because of a lowly girl.

Soon seeing that his chief eunuch has given up hummed his favorite tone and ordered the servants to prepare a robe for him.

"Didn't know it would be this easy and for the past 3 months l have been devising means of escaping from the palace...aww...what a waste of intellectual strength"

Smiling at his own actions, he wanted to start another set of daydream about the lovely girl when he heard her sweet voice from afar

"Young master Soon?"

He turned around abruptly, shocked and turned back again backing her one more time.

"Oh my god!..." he whispered.

Yoona was sad that the young master saw her and turned around as if he's avoiding a plague, if not that their eyes met briefly she would have swore he didn't see her .

Trying to make sure he wasn't avoiding her, she walked closer to him and lightly tapped him on the shoulders to get his attention.She told herself that if he doesn't respond, she would just go home and not disturb him again.

With his heart beating as if it wants to jump out from his c.h.e.s.t, he turned around and marvelled at the face of the goddess looking at him innocently.

"Long time no see... Yoona"

Happy that he called her name, she dazzled him with a smile and complained to him about his earlier behavior.

Realizing the folly his previous stunned action almost created, he shook his head and told her he would never avoid her and that he was just shocked for a moment immediately he saw her, the confused girl asked him why.

"You are beautiful... too beautiful" was his reply and he meant it.

He held her hand and made to drag her away with him when he noticed the movement behind him. Looking back, he saw a familiar face besides a young man.

Remembering that Seohwa was Yoona's maidservant, he deduced that the new acquittance must either be a male servant or a guard ,but he settled on the later option when he felt the aura he was trying to hide.

"He must be quite skillful" he told Yoona and she agreed.

He told Yoona to send them away so that he would be comfortable and the excited girl signaled them to leave but Seohwa played dumb and refused to budge .She even removed her eyes from her miss's face and pretended to count something with her fingers.

She vocalised her command and Seohwa blatantly refused to abide by it. Old madam strictly prohibited them from leaving her sides even if she goes to the washroom.

She threatened to punish her but Seohwa told her she would even accept 50 strokes of cane as long as she obeys their madam's order.

Seeing that threat won't work on her, she poked her at her weakest spot.

"Seohwa,if you don't leave with Jae joon now, l will tell him you have fallen for him"

Red with embarrassment, Seohwa ran away rapidly not even daring to look back at her miss.

"Ouch...did I just tell her secret?" Yoona continued her act of feigning ignorance.

Jae joon bowed before his miss and ran after the fleeing girl, he was convinced that the strange boy was decent and harmless together with the fact that he would be able to track her back whenever he wants.

Yoona showed an evil grin but returned back to being adorable before the young master.

Prince Soon that watched the whole drama silently, broke into a hearty laughter with Yoona and nodded with satisfaction that his soon-to-be-wife would be able to help him deal with those evil officials in the nearest future.

"She's a wicked genius" he muttered to himself and smiled.

He held her hand and they walked around the terrace garden while marvelling at the beautiful scenery.

They were so happy that they didn't even notice they had toured almost the whole place.
