My Ultimate Ambition

Two men sat across each other , one eerily silent the other one languidly yawning and looking bored .They have been sitting for a while without exchanging any words.

The crown prince has been trying to regain his composure while the prime minister is devising plan of killing the crown prince's beloved and making her fall into the deepest pit from where she will never rise from again.

After 30 minutes of waiting for the crown prince to speak, the older man became bored of waiting. He sensed that if they continue wasting time evening might come and the empress might find out her son is missing from the palace without him wrapping up things on this end.

He is very afraid of the empress. A woman of steel and little patience , a woman that has the power to make the emperor do her biddings and to the last . A woman whose nation revolves around her fingertips.

Whatever he is doing now has a backup plan. The empress will kill whoever that makes her son shed a tear talk more of crying, but he also knows that she will never allow her son to marry a slave no matter how much she cherishes him.

With that notion, he will weed out this fang that grew where it's not needed and tell her it's for the good of the imperial house thereby killing a bird with three stones.

He will remove his daughter's future threat , gain the empress's support and present his daughter as the future empress .

Seo-yun is a child that the empress will love, she has beauty , she's well-versed in all the arts of women and she's the daughter of the prime minister.

No matter how strong the empress's family are , they need a strong ally to maintain their power and the surest bet is his daughter and not the daughter of a slave.

After regaining his composure, the crown prince looked up and raised his shoulders. He locked eyes with the prime minister and swore to himself to make him pay for every single tears Yoona shed and for every single pain they both experienced that day.

The prime minister looked at him too , as if sensing his thoughts swore to him also to break the girl and make him realize who truly has power between them "Yes your highness...loathe me all you want but l will make sure to never leave her alive... l will make you love and cherish only Seo-yun...no matter what!" he continued saying in his mind.

The crown prince finally spoke, his voice devoid of any trace of anger or pain, he willed himself to sound humble and maybe gain sympathy for his beloved , he's been thinking it through and realised that if he threatens him , she will die and with her family, if he try to gain his mother's support it will still be the same outcome therefore he resorted to negotiation and bootl.i.c.k.i.n.g.

"Minister Choi...how do I save her?...No...it should be save her and I will do whatever you want me to do...eh?"

He chuckled and relaxed very well on his seat. "Your highness... anything?" the crown prince nodded.

"Are you sure cos I have quite a few conditions" the prime minister continued and smiled.

The crown prince sighed and nodded again.

"Well ... I have three conditions...one is l want your highness to say this few words to her..." he went closer to the prince and whispered.

Mouth agape, jaw dropped, eyes widened , fist clenched and body shaking... the crown prince roared at him "Prime minister Choi! you are very evil... How dare you?!"

The prime minister continued looking unaffected by the screaming crown prince and continued" Secondly your highness will serve as a witness to today's event and say that I saved you from harm's way... thirdly...*chuckles* l understand that your highness is now beginning to feel heat *ahem* what I'm saying is that, l will tell the empress that her son has come of age hence the selection of a proper crown princess... this official has your best interest at heart"

Vigorously shaking this time around, the prince clenched his hands and through gritted teeth asked the prime minister why he's doing this to him...why is he trying to use him destroy someone and why he is not afraid of retribution.

Exploding with anger , the minister lost his cool and asked the prince why he wants to mess up the order of the royal family by bringing in a slave as his wife..."Your highness, your officials are working day and night training a proper wife for you and you want to destroy it by bringing in a woman of unknown origin with no proper training"

But the crown prince ended up shouting at him and asking why they should choose a wife for him without his permission, the minister saw this anger and decided to play it safe, after all when his daughter marries him, he wants her to be not only the empress enjoying power but love coming from it.

"Your highness... you will come thank me later in the future for helping you now ... people like her only thinks of grabbing power because of their lowly status"

"Let me remind you again prime minister Choi...she doesn't know who I am" he said angrily.

The crown prince made to resist but was reminded of the consequences, he was also reminded that time is running out as he has to return to the palace unnoticed.

He is not worried that he is outside the palace right now, what he is worried about is that after today, with what he is going to do , he will never be able to meet her again and even if they meet , she will never look favourably at him again.

He murmured" This deal is like making deal with the devil himself"

Reluctantly, he agreed to do his biddings if only to keep her alive and then slowly plan his revenge .He will make this bastard before him shed tears of blood sometime soon.

His priority right now is to keep her and her family alive , all other things shall come later. "Lead the way" he commanded.
