My Ultimate Ambition

They both strode into the interrogation hall where they met the girl looking half-dead. Her face is paler than before with knees ashen .

The crown prince made to run towards her but the prime minister held him back and with his eyes told him" Don't mess this up"

He rapidly removed his hands from his body and used his hanky to dust off the assumed germs the prime minister introduced into his body. The prime minister was hurt a little by his action but he didn't mind as long as he abided by his wishes .

Towering towards the figure whose face was hung down, he sat at the seat of the chief interrogator and ordered that water be poured on her to wake her up from her half unconscious state , ordering that, he clenched his fist but his face didn't betray his emotions.

Once the water was poured , the girl heavily dragged herself to situp and opened her eyes, immediately she saw the young master before her , she started crying, disregarding her own pains she asked him if they hurt him.

"Young master Soon... they didn't touch you right...that monster didn't lay his hands on you right?... actually... he was threatening to kill you or send you to the tribunal for murder but I promise you... I will never betray you ... I will make sure to endure for your sake and report him to the authorities for forceful interrogation and coerced confession"

Looking at the state of the girl before him who despite her pain is still looking out for him , he almost disregarded his deal and made to rush her into his embrace but was interrupted by the clapping of hands behind him.

"What a touching display of emotions!"

They both turned towards the origin of the sound and shivered at the sight of the sinister monster coming towards them.

They inwardly seethed in anger .

The crown prince saw the clap as a warning not to renege on his promise and blinked back the tears that threatened to spill out.

He faced the young girl who only few hours he promised to make his wife, with complicated emotions he dropped the time-bomb that has been counting.

"Who are your accomplices?... who made you send assassins to kill me? ...Give me their names" as each question came out of his mouth so each of them pierced his heart and left it bleeding.

She just sat there looking dazed and wondering what he is talking about. Seeing her confused state ,he almost told her he was joking in order to stop the charade but the prime minister took over from him the moment he opened his mouth to say it.

"Young lady ... stop the acting and tell us the truth "

Yoona still looked stupefied, she can't seem to register what is going on, she kept thinking that maybe the prime minister threatened him the way she was threatened and he succ.u.mbed, but looking at his face to search for any hint of him being forced to act before her , she found nothing and that scared the hell out of her.

She started stammering with tears running down her cheeks "Youn... Young master...you ...you are...scar.. scaring me ... OK? if... this... this...is ...a...joke ... stop it... if...that old man is... forcing you to do... this... then... jus...just stop... I will not give up on you and I... I...will... will make sure he faces the law"

The prime minister burst into laughter while holding his stomach, he looked at the girl as if he is looking at a fly and asked her a question "Do you really want to know who l am?... well... I am the prime minister of the nation... Choi sang-min "

She looked at him with the eyes of someone asking and so what? what if you are the prime minister? Does that give you the right to trample on anyone below you? she shouted...

Seeing that the reaction he wanted to create didn't occur, he got very angry that he asked the guards to burn her face with an iron knife.

At that moment,she properly observed her surroundings and noticed that he has been sitting at the seat of the chief interrogator all this while, it was then that it dawned on her that things has gotten complicated.

Yoona lost hope and faith in humanity and took the beating without letting as much as whimper escape from her mouth , she endured the beating by zooming out of that zone by remembering all the good moments of her life . She refused to give a false confession and that irritated the minister and tired out the beaters.

Watching her being thrashed , he tightened his grip on his robe and gnashed his teeth while silently praying that she gives the false confession and redeem herself from the beating .

The prime minister was visibly red now, in all his life he has never met someone as stubborn as the girl before him and he inwardly cringed in fear but he didn't show anything on his face.

It was at this moment in time that a guard came in and whispered that a nobleman with the name 'Kim chang-min' is requesting to see the prisoner.

The prime minister smirked that the man he wanted to send a letter to, came finding him himself. He has saved him some time and energy.

He ordered the guards to escort the prince out to the office farthest away from the interrogation hall and invite the noble man to another office closer to the hall where he will hear the cries of his beloved daughter and feel her pains.
