My Unexpected Marriage

I asked my brother to inform me if anything happens. Then I went to my dad's study and asked his permission for going out to meet with my friends. Since my friends were from rich families my father allowed me to go. Because it will be safe for me to be around the rich people than commoners. I never had any discrimination like that but whenever I had a commoner friend they ended up being hurt by my dad. So I tried to make rich friends and avoided most of the commoners. I went to uncle Zen.

"Uncle Zen, I have an appointment with my friends at 10 am in 'The MORE Cafe'. Please take me there before its late."

"Yes, Miss Williams." He replied and went to bring my new Porsche to the front.

I got in the car. I recalled the memories about how we first went to The MORE Cafe. It was about 2 years ago.We were in high school then and we got a 'shopping weekend' once in every two weeks. That was the only time we could go out of our school other than the vacations. On that weekend we can go wherever we want, we can do whatever we like, but at the end of the Sunday we must be present in our dorm and the attendance will be taken by our warden. So that nobody will miss any of the classes.

Once on a shopping weekend me and my friends planned to go for a hiking at the east side of the city where there is a small forest and hills. We decided to camp at the top of the hill for a day. So we packed our bags and went on our hiking on the Friday evening after our class. We informed our warden about our plan just to make sure that if anything went wrong then someone should know about our whereabouts. We did it out of fear also because we all were daughters of high class prestigious rich families with many enemies who were waiting for a chance to strike at our families. We really didn't want to mess up any of this little freedom we get from our families. Thus we went to our campsite in two cars which was actually rented just to avoid any attention towards us.

On the way to our destination we stopped for dinner at a new cafe in the city. It's theme was mainly focused on having great food in an environmental friendly place. It's exterior was filled with beauty of nature and greenery. There was a small pond in front of it. The pond was a natural pond. The owners of the cafe tried to maintain it as it is. And they succeeded in their attempt. From the first look itself we can say that they have really tried hard to make the cafe environment friendly. That was the first attraction which made us to stop to grab a bite.

The parking was also interesting. They made a path with two lanes which had different trees on either side of it. The lanes were divided by different plants having colourful flowers on it and small fountains are placed at a certain distances, which leads to the large parking area with an arch having some kind of plant which had spread over it. We parked our cars and went inside the cafe.

The cafe had a peaceful ambiance which was created by the instrumental music played on the background. It gave a calm feeling to the customers who comes there. They had a slightly dim lighting. And the main attraction inside the cafe was the lone area at the center portion of the cafe it had a large tree in the middle which gave shade to almost complete lawn area. It had swings on its branches for the children. We understood that the lawn area was created just to preserve that big tree which was probably staying there for many years. There was many customers even though it's only opened in a few days ago. They had a private area also for the customers who wants their privacy. So we went straight to the private area. We saw a place which can not seen from the lawn area but we can see everything that happens in the lone, so we went to that place. We ordered the food and waited them to serve us.

While we were waiting, we started chatting and Veronica showed us a couple sitting at the lawn area. I looked at the couple, the girl was dressed like a doll. She was wearing a floral dress with a light make up and a beige colored high heels. The guy was wearing a black shirt and jeans. The girl was blushing when the guy hold her hands and said something to her. Then Veronica looked at me and she had a devilish smirk on her face.

"So Shan, shall we play a small game." Vern asked me (Vern is the name we call Veronica and Shan is the name what my friends call me). I gave her a confused look and said.

"Why are you specifically asking me to play the game Vern?"

She looked at everyone and said.

"Guys, you all know that we all dated at least once in our life. But our dear Shan didn't. So I want her to take a challenge."

Everyone looked at Vern and waited her to complete.

"The challenge is she have to go up to that couple sitting in the lawn area and ask the guy to go on a date with her. It is not matter if the guy agree or not. But she have to ask him herself in front of that girl. How many are with me?"

I was shocked by the challenge she gave me. I was not that shy to ask a guy out but this was too much because the guy I have to ask on a date is on a date. How can I ruin a date. I looked at my friends if anyone is opposing Vern's challenge. But they all supported her. I looked at Samara who was the only one who will oppose this nonsense. But she refused to help me.

"Don't show your puppy eyes to me Shan it won't work today. I am with Vern." Samara said to me.

I gave a death glare to Vern, she chuckled and pretended as dead by my glare. I stood from my chair and slowly walked towards the lawn area where the couple were sitting I was shivering just because I feared the reaction from the girl will make any harm to me. So I looked at my friends for a 'retreat from my mission' order from them.But I didn't get a positive reaction from them. So I turned towards the couple and moved forward with my shivering legs.

"Excuse me Sir, may I have a word with you please?"

I interrupted the couple's date and their show on affection in public. They looked at me and scanned me from my head to toe. I was wearing a top trending custom made dress which can only bought by some celebrity people only nowadays. The girl had a 'Who the hell are you?' look on her face. The guy had a smirk on his face and he asked me.

"Do I know you, Miss?"

"Actually no, you don't know me. I just saw you now and you were talking to this pretty lady here. I really liked the way you talked to her. You look handsome and talks like a gentleman. Your charisma gave me the courage to come here and talk to you. Can I ask you something?" I said to him with a questioning look.

"Yes miss, what do you want to ask me?" He told me.

"Uh.. So I was going to say that.. 'Will you go on a date with me?' please." I asked him.

The girl who was irritated by my presence itself jumped on to her feet and tried to grab my hair. I dodged and the guy blocked her from harming me. He asked her to calm down for a moment and turned towards me. I looked at the girl over the guys shoulder and I saw the fire on her eyes. I knew that fire could burn me to death. I was expecting him to reject me politely and then I can pretend that I was hurt by his answer and run out of the lone area. I planned every movements I have to take after his rejection. I was returned to the reality by his voice.

"Yes Miss, I will gladly go on a date with you?"

When the girl heard this she became furious. She picked her handbag and slapped the guys face with the bag and left the cafe. Everyone around us were having fun by watching the show I put for them. But I was stunned by his answer I have never thought that he will accept my offer to go on a date. Before I could say anything Vern came to my side and asked me in a seductive voice.

"Are you cheating on me, babe?"

I looked at her with 'what is she doing now' look on my face. She gave me the signal to play along, so I did that. I massaged my forehead and said.

"No darling, I just wanted to know that if I go to a man how will you react to that?"

"That was rude, babe. Come let's go."She said before clung on to me and kissed me on my cheeks.

I looked at the guy and saw that he was completely lost. So I said.

"I am really sorry sir. I was just curious to know something about my girlfriend and put a show. As I saw the both of you together I thought this was the time to clear my doubts. I thought you will reject me sir. I am not interested in any man. I am truly sorry to putting you in such a situation. I really apologize for what i caused you sir."

Then I take a five thousand dollar cheque from my handbag and gave it to him then left with Vern to our friends. We saw the guy rushing out of the cafe with the cheque I gave him.

As I reached our table I put on a questionable look.

"Oh Come on Shan, didn't you enjoy it?" asked Freya.

"Really, Frey?" I asked her and looked at Vern.

"Stay right where you are Shan. Don't try to come near me. I will explain everything." Vern said as she read my thought of hitting hard on her head.

"Two minutes, start." I said.

"Shan I saw how he looked at you when we passed him. He was with his girlfriend but still he looked at you like you are some delicious food or something. After we reached at this table I looked him and his eyes were searching for you in the lawn area. That's why I pulled a trick on him and made him break up with his girlfriend. At least she deserves better don't you think so. Please forgive me if I offended you my dear Shan." She finished explaining in two minutes.

I sighed. Later we had the food and it was delicious. Then we went to our hiking and camping. That was the first memory we had at The MORE Cafe. After that we went there at every shopping weekend. The more we went there the more we know about the cafe and it's owners. As the name says , the more we know about it the more we liked it. I think that is why they call it The MORE Cafe.
