My Unexpected Marriage

I reached at the MORE Cafe at 9:50 am. I got down from the car at the front area of the cafe and asked uncle Zen with a pitiful look.

"Uncle Zen, please don't come with me now. I want to be alone with my friends. Wait for me to come back in the parking area."

"Yes Miss Williams. We will wait in the parking. If you need anything please make sure to let me know it." Uncle Zen said and went to parking area with the driver.

I walked faster than usual. I needed to inform my friends about my BIG NEWS and discuss about a way to escape from it. When I reached the lawn area I looked around to make sure that there is no one who will recognize me. It's really early and there is no rush. I reached the private area and walked towards our favorite place. To my surprise my friends were already there and they are waiting for me.

"Hey guys, it's really a surprise. I didn't expect you all to be here this early. It's not like you guys at all." I said as I slide on to the chair meant for me.

"How can we be late Shan. It's you who called for an E.T." Amaya (Aya) said to me excitedly.

"Yeah, it's really rare for you to call upon us for an E. T. Come on spill the beans, babe." Arohi(Rohi) asked out of curiosity.

When I saw their excitement to know my problem my face became dull. But they are right I rarely called them for solving my problems. I liked to solve the problems I face myself. So obviously they will be excited. But they don't know that the news I am going to reveal will be more exciting for them than me calling for an E. T.

"I don't really know how you guys will react to it." I said in a pitiful voice.

Hearing me they understand that it's something serious and it's a matter not to considered as a joke.

Cynthia came near me and sat beside me.

"Shan, don't be like this. We know we become excited. But seeing you like this is not what we expected. We are sorry. Come on tell us about the problem. We will help you to solve it." Cynthia comforted me.

"Thanks Cyn, I really needed that." I said then paused for a minute to regain my posture.

"Guys, to the matter. I want to do a background check on someone." I said in a stern voice.

Frey and Vern took out their laptops and looked at me to say the name.

"Who's the person?" Sam asked.

I looked at my friends and felt like they are my knights in shining armour.

"SAM ZEUS JOSEPH." I said the name.

Aya and Arohi(Rohi) jumped from their seat.

"Ah... Sam Zeus Joseph. Don't you guys know about him?" Rohi asked.

We looked at them.

"Do you know him? Tell me about everything you know." I said.

Aya looked at Rohi. Rohi looked at us and said.

" Sorry guys I should have told you about it."

"What is it, Rohi?" Sam asked.

"Sam Zeus Joseph, he is literally the king of the business world now. He is very genius, he made Zeus Corporation famous internationally in just six months after becoming the CEO. Also he became the powerful and ric.h.e.s.t man in the country. Only very few people have seen him. My dad wants me to date him and make him future son-in-law. Only Aya knows about it."Rohi said.

"WHAT???" I asked out of my shock.

I really didn't know anything about Sam Zeus. But when I heard what Rohi said, I felt some uneasiness I have never felt before. Rohi like him, so I can't tell them the truth at least for now.

Rohi gave me a puzzled look and continued.

"I have been trying very hard to meet him but his secretary never let me pass her and have a single glance of him. I send numerous gifts to him but every gift is returned without even opened. I had doubt about his s.e.x.u.a.l orientation so I tried to have a background check on his s.e.x.u.a.l life and found that he never dated anyone before. Every business men who have a daughter tried to get him but failed."

"So you are saying that he is gay." asked Frey.

I became dumbfounded by the thought of being the wife of a gay CEO. Now it become more important to me to not marry him. I looked at Rohi with an expression to continue to talk about him.

"Yeah, I doubted that too but he 'never dated anyone' includes men. So I looked on how he treated the girls who approached him and found that he never treated them with any feelings. Moreover everyone who knows about him secretly calls him the 'cold hearted devil'. I think he is more as.e.x.u.a.l than a gay." Rohi finished.

"Are you sure about it Rohi?" I asked.

"I am not certain about it . Its just my conclusion from what I knew about him. By the way why are you suddenly interested in him?" Rohi asked me.

Now I know that Rohi is interested in him and she have been trying hard to make him love her but he never ever gave an opportunity to her or anybody. Even if I try hard to cancel this marriage it won't happen because the marriage was not decided by me it was the decision of our family and only he can make this marriage not to happen. But I am little surprised by the feelings occurring inside my head when I heard Rohi told about him and the way she said his name with a sugar coat on it. Even though she said he is cold hearted but the softness in her voice when she started saying about him caught my interest. So I think it is better not to tell the truth about my interest in him and keep it a secret for now.

"It's about the new business collaboration between our entertainment company Moonstar Entertainment and their Zeus Entertainment. My dad told me to do it and I think I am not ready for it. But he insisted so I can't get away from it. Then I think about it and concluded to give my all. That is why I needed to know about him more so that I can impress him in our first meeting itself." I said.

The expression on my friends face told me that they believed it except Vern and Sam. Since they were my best friends from my childhood they knew when I lies. So they gave me a look to follow them and said.

" We are going to restroom. You guys look for more details about the king Sam Zeus and his empire Zeus Corporation."

I followed them to the restroom and when we reached there they both gave me a look with an expression 'Tell the truth now'. I looked at them.

"I should have known that you will know when I lie." I said.

"Yeah you should have known that." Sam said.

"Ok I will tell the truth. But before that you have to make a promise to me." I told them.

Without thinking twice they answered.

"We promise you anything. Now tell us everything."

"You should have thought about it I could literally make you guys do anything I want by saying you promised me." I teased them.

"Oh really Shan. Don't try to change the subject." Vern gave me an annoyed look.

"Ok ok I surrender. But promise that you won't say anything I am going to say to anyone not even our friends."I asked them seriously to confirm it is the secret just between the three of us.

"So it is something serious, isn't it?" Sam asked.

"Ok Shan we promise it is the secret between the three of us." Vern said and Sam joined it with a promising smile.

"I am going to marry this Sam Zeus and it will probably happen after I become eighteen years old.My dad told me to prepare for the marriage." I said with a depressing expression on my face.

They looked shocked. Vern's jaw literally dropped down and she became mute for a second.

"WHAT?? MARRIAGE?? But you will be eighteen in two months and there's no time to prepare mentally and also physically. That is not the main problem you don't even know this guy." Vern blurted out in the next second.

"I know Vern but I can't do anything, the only one who can stop this wedding is Sam Zeus. That's why I needed your help and asked you guys to come. But now I know Rohi have feelings towards him so I can't say the truth to everyone." I said.

"We know Shane but we can help you don't you know that." Sam said to comfort me.

"Ok let's go back. Otherwise they will come looking for us." I said and we went back to our gang.

We ordered some coffee and began to search about Sam Zeus Joseph. We ordered some people to investigate about him and we all tried our best to find more information by searching the internet. By 1.00 pm we got a call from the people we hired to investigate on Sam Zeus and they really disappointed us. We worked really hard and the result was not satisfying.

Everyone who knows him says he is a cold hearted person. No idea about what is his preference in s.e.x.u.a.l life. But he is criticized more on being gay or as.e.x.u.a.l.

Cyn and Frey summarized the information about him.

I sighed and thanked them for helping me. I bid farewell and called uncle Zen to inform him to come and pick me from the main entrance of the cafe. I finished the call and put my cell phone in my handbag. Suddenly my phone rang. I took out the phone from my handbag and looked at the screen. A private number displayed on the screen. I answered it.

"Hello, who is this?" I asked.

An unknown male voice replied me.

"If you wanted to know about me, you just needed to ask me my dear. Why did you hire people to have my background checked?" The voice on other side asked me with a teasing tone.

I was surprised by the question and blurted out with a shaking voice without knowingly.

"S..S...SAM ZEUS JOSEPH...???"
