Ren did very little exercise and focused on the books. After a while, Ren heard All Existence tell him that eight hours had passed in the real world, and so he kept the books in the crimson world and then left it. Since Ren hadn't done any missions yet he had no money to buy ninja tools, so he just wore his normal clothes and his ninja headband on his head because he didn't want to waste points on something he could get soon. Once Ren was ready he began to walk to the second training ground.

After only waiting a few minutes Ren saw everyone on his team come to the second training ground. Ren told them to do some basic warmups so that they are prepared for Kurenai's tests. Once they were all warmed up Kurenai came to the training ground and told them what her test would be.

"It seems you all already warmed up, so I will tell you what the test will be. The test will just be a spar against me. We will begin in three seconds. Three, two, one, go." - Kurenai

"We need to work together if we want to be good enough. Hinata you use the Byakugan to make sure we aren't in a genjutsu. Shino, you can use your bugs to confuse Kurenai's sense abilities, and I will try to fight Kurenai with taijutsu. Even though the positions are important everyone can still do other things." - Ren

They all agreed with Ren's plan and started the fight. Shino spread his bugs all around and Ren ran forward at Kurenai, Hinata also activated her byakugan. As Ren was running forward at Kurenai he knew he was in a genjutsu because the soul path let him see 360 degrees around him in a one-meter area. So Ren did Genjutsu Kai and felt Hinata's chakra go into him and broke out of the genjutsu.

'I really need to find a better method to break out of genjutsu in the future or that will be a really big weak point.' - Ren

Now that Ren was out of the genjutsu he continued to run at Kurenai. Ren made then used an incomplete owl chakra aura because he didn't want to reveal all his strength. Ren was now in front of Kurenai and so he did a low kick at her knee, which Kurenai easily jumped over. Now that Kurenai was in the air from her jump Ren punched at her, but as soon as Ren was about to hit Kurenai a wood log took her place.

'Damn Body replacement jutsu is so good!' - Ren

Ren ran to Hinata and asked her to sense where Kurenai was, Hinata said that Kurenai was standing on the tree closest to him. So Ren told Shino to give him some support with ranged ninja tools and he would go directly attack Kurenai. Ren was underneath the tree Kurenai was on and jumped at her and punched. Kurenai jumped off the tree to dodge the punch and as she was in the air she kicked Ren in the c.h.e.s.t. Ren couldn't dodge this punch and get directly hit, this kick was not strong enough to break or fracture Ren's bones, but it still damaged him a lot.

With all the vitality from being a vampire Ren very quickly healed the damage. Shino threw ninja tools at Kurenai after she kicked Ren and she deflected them with a kunai. Now that Kurenai was on the ground Ren dashed at her again. Once Ren was in front of her he kicked her ankle and tried to hit her with his right elbow. Kurenai jumped backward to avoid both attacks and punched Ren in the same place she kicked him last time. The damage from the kick hadn't fully healed and Ren was damaged a lot from this punch. Hinata came beside Ren and made sure he was okay. After a quick check, she knew he could still fight.

"Everyone, let's all go for one final rush." - Ren

After Ren said this they all ran towards Kurenai, Shino gathered up tons of bugs and made them all go towards Kurenai, Hinata was scared to hit someone and lightly hit Kurenai with her gentle fist. Kurenai used body replacement jutsu to avoid all the bugs and Hinata. Ren didn't attack for this reason and dashed towards Kurenai and punched with strength at the bottom of the chunin level. Kurenai could not avoid this punch and got directly hit, but since she was an experienced jounin it didn't damage her that much. Even though Ren still had more stamina he knew everyone on his team was tired out and there was no more they could do.

"I give up, everyone is tired out from that rush." - Ren

"Yeah" - Shino

"Me too" - Hinata

"Well, you all passed the test, Ren you have great abilities with taijutsu and leadership but barely any ninjutsu, Shino you interfered with my sensing abilities and gave support with ninja tools but isn't good with taijutsu, and Hinata you have great sensing abilities can help break out of genjutsu and in the future you may learn medical ninjutsu." - Kurenai

"So now we are officially genin." - Ren

"Yes, tomorrow we will go to the Hokage office and get a mission, but for now go home and get some rest." - Kurenai

After Kurenai's words, everyone left the training ground. Ren knew he had to either reveal his blood abilities in the future or learn some water ninjutsu because he was way too weak with just taijutsu. Ren decided that for right now it would be best to complete some missions and then buy some water ninjutsu to use openly. But for right now Ren was going to focus on learning how to affect tenketsu without the Byakugan, so he went into the crimson world to study books about the chakra network.
