“Right hand,” Xiao Mohan said.
Gu Chuyan didn’t know what he wanted but she still lifted her right hand.
He held her right hand with his left. His hand was on top and hers was below. They pressed the box together. Gu Chuyan felt the box vibrating.
The box snapped open. All four sides of the box flew open and a beautiful bracelet appeared in front of her.
Gu Chuyan felt a pain on the tip of her finger. Xiao Mohan released her hand.
She raised her hand and saw a drop of blood on the bracelet.
Her bright red, fresh blood dripped onto the sparkling and glittering bracelet. It looked like it had a small ruby encased. Gu Chuyan was a little curious. She reached her hand out and touched it.
“What is this?” Gu Chuyan asked, puzzled. She touched the bracelet with her fingertip. The drop of blood seeped into the bracelet and it turned bright and dazzling.
“Try it.” Xiao Mohan didn’t explain. He took the bracelet and helped put it on her right wrist. The size was just right.
Gu Chuyan wasn’t liked by her father, but she was still the young lady of a wealthy family. Naturally, she could recognize an item’s value. This bracelet was glittering and crystal-clear. It was made using top-grade jade.
“I can’t take this. This is too valuable.” She was a little flustered.
The jade bracelet laid on her wrist and a cool feeling spread across her wrist. It was a strange feeling.
She wanted to take the bracelet off but the jade bracelet seemed to be stuck to her wrist. She couldn’t take it off. She pulled and twisted it forcefully but it remained there.
“Xiao Mohan, what should I do?” She placed her wrist in front of him and asked softly, “Can you help me?”
Xiao Mohan lifted his hand and held her wrist. He looked at it carefully. Her wrist was fair and slim. It was a perfect match for the bracelet!
“You look good.” The man stared at her wrist intently with his black eyes. Compliments from him were so rare.
Gu Chuyan was dumbfounded. She pulled frantically but the bracelet wouldn’t come off.
“The blood bracelet will recognize its owner,” Xiao Mohan said as he stood up and walked to the side. He grabbed a bottle of quality red wine and opened it. Then he poured the wine into the wine glass and swirled the glass.
He stood in front of the bar counter with his black suit and white shirt. He was tall and his back was straight. When he held the wine glass in his hand, a seductive aura oozed out of his body.
Her gaze was fixed on his figure. She couldn’t shift her gaze away.
“The blood bracelet will recognize its owner?” she whispered. She lowered her head and looked at the jade bracelet on her wrist with mixed feelings. The bright red drop of blood on the jade bracelet was especially conspicuous.
She stood up and said in a low voice, “Does that mean that I can’t take it off in the future?”
“No.”
Gu Chuyan walked forward with small steps and asked, “How can I take it off?”
The jade bracelet was too eye-catching. Other people might assume she was showing off her wealth unless they couldn’t recognize its value.
“After you give birth to a child.”
“Give birth to a child?” She thought she heard wrong.
Xiao Mohan raised his wine glass and finished the wine. He placed the glass on the bar counter and turned to look at her. The look in his eyes was ambiguous. The corners of his lips lifted slightly and he replied, “If you’re in a hurry, we can make one now.”
There was a faint smell on his body. His breath smelled like red wine too. It was a little enchanting.
“That’s not what I meant.” She took half a step back.
The wine glass was behind her. She leaned on the table and held on to the side. She looked at him as he closed in on her. His gaze seemed a little seductive due to the wine he drank.
“I won’t take it off.” She waved her hand. She stared at the bracelet. She wouldn’t take it off no matter what happened!
