Chapter 93 - Stick To The Plans

[ARYA]

Andrew and his team had been working nonstop on the Pavlenko saga and the possible enemies when they got a live location sent to them. Given that Andrew knew so little about technology, he let Ken and Enrique translate what it meant.

They had lived in Todorov since the day the alpha Arya ran away from home. The live location pointed them to a faraway location, a facility that had been abandoned by the Soviets long before they were even born.

What would they be doing with a signal that got them there? What are they supposed to think of it? The signal kept coming through to them, and even though they were skeptical, they had to accept the range.

It was almost like a traditional untrackable signal. Whoever was doing this had to be very smart or already knew they were here in Todorov. But then who would know they were here other than the wolves and Natalya?

However, Natalya was in Todorov with them, so it just didn't make any sense.

"Andrew" came a voice through the systems. The poor man got his gun out and was ready to fire at the computer when Ken broke out into fits of laughter. The head chief was really an impulsive man.

"This looks funny to you, huh? Someone is talking to us through a damn flat thingy, and you think it's okay?" Who the hell even invented these things?" Andrew said frustratedly, but Ken just continued laughing.

It seemed like their life in the human realm would be more than interesting, with the head chief being new to everything. The man would probably throw away the microwave or fridge if he knew what they did, but all that is due time.

For now, Ken had to explain to the dumb warrior what all of this meant.

"Okay, okay, fine. I won't laugh anymore. But you have to learn, Drew. We can't have you whipping out your weapon in public for every technology you will get to interact with."

Ken could tell that Andrew never knew how cars worked. This would be one of the craziest adventures they had ever gone into, and it was way crazier than stalking the rebel for over eight years. Damn.

"The hell do you mean by that? Andrew asked, not being in the mood for any jokes.

He needed to understand humans, but he also knew he wouldn't be able to do that when everything was new to him, not to mention the fact that even though he was a fast learner, he wasn't going to take in all the knowledge at once.

"Andrew," the voice called it again, and before Andrew could shoot at the device, Ken sent a signal back to tell the person who was on the other end that they could hear him or her.

"Great, you can hear me. I hope you guys are doing okay. By now, you should have met Natalya, and she must have given you the instructions I left you guys—"

"Rebel?" Andrew wondered about making Ken facepalm. There was really no hope for this warrior, was there?

"Rebel, can you hear me? Goddess, what the fuċk have you gotten us into. What—"

"I have minimal chances Drew, so listen. Do whatever Natalya tells you, except kill my human mate. I will put a bullet in your heart if you do that, brother.

"I'm just reaching out to tell you that everything is real, and as crazy as it is, we have to save him. There are a lot of obstacles, but—" Arya said, but her voice went silent for a while.

It was almost like someone was in the same room as her. The wolves listened in, considering the signal wasn't blocked and the communication was still coming through.

"Oh hey Samantha, I hope you're doing well. As the boss requested, here is the footage of the mansion. What really got you to this place and on the side of the worst of the worst men in Todorov?

"Do you even know what Nikita does when he's not in the operating rooms? I really pity you," the voice said, and Arya just let out a laugh.

On the other end, in Arya's house, Enrique and Ken held the warrior back.

It took all their effort to make sure the warrior didn't make them miss any information. They even had to tie him up and his mouth so they would listen to the conversation. This was important, and if the most rational of them were already gig crazy, then their mission would be hell.

"I am doing very well, Jacob. I see you're good too. Tell me something, is this conversation being recorded?" Arya said to Jacob.

"Yes, it is, Samantha, or should I say, Lyne Volkov?"

"Just call me Samantha; it's easier to remember," Arya said.

"Yes, it is being recorded."

"Why is the doctor always having a stick up his ȧss? I could get you a hundred dollars. He hasn't been laid for a while. Tell him I offer myself…Hey, you're leaving? I thought we were getting along well," Arya said playfully like she meant every word she had said. Jacob just sighed and left her in there.

"Get comfortable, Samantha, tomorrow you will meet Morgan and Rael; I hear they are the worst of the worst," Jacob said and left.

"They haven't met me," Arya whispered to no one in particular. If they thought she could be scared by an unhinged fellow woman, then they were in for a harsh ride. She was the definition of unhinged, crazy, and a woman who would rebel against the will of the goddess herself.

"Arya," Ken called out, relaxing his hold on Andrew.

From what they had heard, it was clear that Andrew wasn't going to make a move because this conversation was what he needed to find a reason and purpose. They would help each other out, come rain and come sunshine.

"Oh hey, Ken. As I was saying before the idiot interrupted me, you guys don't have to worry about me. I was just checking in with you today. Be careful. Be wise, and trust your guts. The road ahead is going to be muddy and cruel.

"Your loyalty will be tested, especially with my mate being a human. No matter what he does to me or with me, stay on the sidelines unless I give you guys the order to interrupt but until then, fix Pavlenko.

"I don't care if he already got someone to do the work. Stick to your mission. And thank you for being here with me in this realm. It means a lot. I have to go now. Take care." Arya said, and the boys just stood there, well, except for Andrew, who was still tied up.

They wondered what their rebel was up to, but they just had to trust her. The only question they had at the moment was what they needed to make sure that nothing went sideways in Pavlenko.

Maybe it was time to call Natalya up on that security offer for Andrew.
