No One Else's But Mine

Chapter 6 - I'm afraid i will loose you

Go Shin Hye then runs downstairs and into the dining room. Her family was already sitting at the table, except for her mom who was placing the last dish (a bowl of egg salad) on the table.

"Honey, how many times have we told you to be careful when coming down the stairs?" her dad reminded when she took her seat beside Dong Sae.

She locked eyes with Dong Sae and gave him her bright hello smile before replying to her dad.

"I know dad, I'm careful," she assured him, before keenly grabbing the food set on the table, placing them on her plate. They were having egg salad and steak tonight which didn't bother Go Shin Hye at all because she eats all sorts of food.

"Alright, but one day if something-" .

"I will fall down the stairs. Don't worry, dad. You worry too much for your own good." she interrupted while laughing and finishing the sentence off for him.

Her mom was now behind her 'work-at-home dad' as she rested her arms on his shoulders. Her dad landed a hand on hers and looked up at her lovingly from his seat on the dinner table.

"Just let the kids eat, dear," she said while chuckling.

Go Shin Hye's father could never argue with her mom. If there was one person who was more stubborn then her dad, it would be her mom.

"Oh, honey I forgot to tell you that your idol Jang Geun Suk is going to be going to your school." Mom informed while taking a seat at the table.

Go Shin Hye was trying not to choke on the food in her mouth the moment she heard the news. She quickly swallowed before nearly shouting, "This is not a prank, is it? Because if it was, that would be too mean of you guys."

"Didn't you know, honey?' She asked. " It was printed in the newspaper that your dad was reading a while ago."

"So... he's really coming to our school?"

"Well, I guess so. I mean that is what I read." her mom confirmed.

Go Shin Hye was about to squeal, but instead the sound of a fork dropping onto the table replaced it. The sound had come from beside her, the cause being Dong Sae.

All eyes were on him at that moment their faces showing signs of concern. "Are you okay, Dong Sae?" asked her father.

Dong Sae looked at Go Shin Hye's farther worriedly for a second before changing his face to a neutral expression which she noticed. "Yeah, don't worry, Mr Lee. I'm fine," he replied, while picking up his fork.

Go Shin Hye frowned when she noticed Dong Sae's grip on his fork had tightened immensely like something was bothering him. Dong Sae didn't talk for the rest of the dinner which worried Go Shi Hye.

After finishing dinner and cleaning up the place, Dong Sae escorted Go Shin Hye upstairs and to her bedroom door. They just stared at each other for a while as Dong Sae still looked disturbed by something.

"Dong Sae, are you really alright?" she asks him worriedly.

He looks at her for a second before giving her a smile with the reason to ease her concern. "Don't worry, I'm fine. Now go to sleep," he says while pushing her from her back slowly into her room.

Before she was in her room, she turned around and gave him a smile, saying, "That's good, because I don't like it when my best friend is not happy. Good night, Dong Sae."

"Good night Go Shin Hye."

She then enters her room, leaving Dong Sae standing outside her door alone and in pain.

"Actually... there is something wrong." He stares at her closed door feeling really nervous for the first time. "I'm afraid I will lose you," he whispers under his breath.
