Oh Love Me Mistress: A Kaguya Crossover Fic

Chapter 14 - Heart-Under-Blade

"…More than 500 people have been confirmed lost in the fire, as thousands of others safely get out of the fire but not without injuries, and monetary loss. The cause was still unknown, but some specialist expected it happened because gas leak or even terrorism as the fires spread too fast engulfing Fuyuki into burned husk in a mere hour. Some sources said, before the fire, there was often reported a gas leak on several points in the city, mainly on the harbor, Fuyuki Bridge, and the old residences in Miyama town. And worryingly there are cases of serial killer claimed dozen of the victim and the bombing on a hotel in Fuyuki. Some residences expressed their worries…" I silently watch the TV, the same with Kaguya.

"Here's the Tea, Kaguya-sama," Hayasaka came with a tray of snack and tea, breaking our stupor.

"Ehm, Thank you Hayasaka," She took one of the cookies. Bit it as she still glued to the screen.

"What do you think, Hayasaka?" I turned my head to her.

"Well, I've been doing some searches. It safe to assume, this was intentionally caused. The fire was too unnatural, no fire is colored black and spread that fast. A weapon of some sorts, perhaps." Hayasaka stated as she stands behind the sofa.

"Whatever it is, it causes millions of credit lost on us. We've been trying land reclamation, and a fair number of our store and offices are located there." Kaguya said.

"I see. Does this cause massive loss to us?"

She scoffed, "Hardly, though if I must say it cost 7 months of our expenditure. Still, I pity those peoples, peacefully sleeping only to get caught in fires. They're not only lost houses, years of investment but also family member or friends. A hundred children orphaned."

Sigh, I knew it from afar that fires were too unnatural. It was dark, reeked in mud and contained magical properties when I felt a blast from it. Maybe I should conduct some investigation. Though sticking my nose too hard will perhaps backfire to me.

After that was just uneventful Sunday night. The next day was a surprise for both Kaguya and Hayasaka. Their teacher who had tormenting them from a long time was changed. She apologized deeply to us, as she claims wanted to change her behavior all this time.

Both of them were skeptical, but guess time will mend things.

Some people express their surprise when seeing her, she was not only younger but look healthier from her pale skin before.

Originally I will secretly manipulate the new teacher roster from us, in case of her death. Still, it won't be needed. With her new personality, it was fun to tease her as she stutters in nervousness sometimes.

And I didn't forget what she has done to me, stealing my first kiss. What a blasphemous accident, and I definitely not enjoyed the sensation and dreaming it on the night, definitely not, stupid adolescent mind.

Now I could spend the time left from magecraft and endurance training, and not worrying about them anymore.

Maybe I should bring some offering sweets before going home, I thought. Standing in front of the bakery, ugh Kaguya will give me an earful for sneaking out of the mansion again.

I stepped in the store and decided to buy some pastries, the Japanese one, as they tended to be a light snack, and it goes well with her teas.

Daifuku, Manju, Mochi, Higashi, Dango and many more. I got too carried away and almost bought the entire line of sweets on the counter, the premium one.

Even the shop owner came out of his kitchen and profusely thanking me until I stopped him from giving a bow like I was the second coming of god-emperor or something.

The moon tonight seems beautiful than ever, I hold the bag as I walked through the street.

Wait…I checked the people around me. I didn't realize the street was deserted like this. Sure I spend a fair amount inside the pastries, but this hasn't gone past midnight yet.

Tokyo ward was supposed to be this quiet, as office workers tend to go home at this time.

It was eerily quiet, shop curtain has been closed. Then I smell something, blood.

It was blood, sweet and sickening. Years of underground filled with mud and blood, gave me an acute sense when it was about them.

Glancing to left and right, the bag I was holding turned into motes of blue cubes, storing it on the virtual Mooncell storage.

The trail leaves me down the subway, as I look beneath the entrance. It was getting stronger. Step by step I descended down the stairs.

The more I got closer, the more I could distinguish the scent on the blood wafting through the air. It was ashen, dead, and cold like I was in a cemetery.

I stopped. On the hallway, blood was sprayed out on the floor. I pick a slip to beware sign beside the entrance and place it on the entrance before proceeding to the source, can't someone stumbled on the pool of blood, can they?

Following the trail, entrance became hallway then further deep down the escalator.

Then I stopped again.

My magic circuit flared to life as I looked down on the creatures in front of me, two ominous glowed in blue came off my hand as I pointed it towards the creatures.

Dead apostle, I never encounter them but from the sovereign memories, they are sure as hostile to living things.

It was powerful, indeed.

"Thou, human, I shall allow you to save me," it said haughtily.

A dead-apostle reduced to a mere ragdoll, lost its limbs yet its pride stands high.

It was powerful, but a good chunk of her power has been reduced or should I say, gone?

"Why? Pointing such a measly magecraft to me? I say I allow you to save me,"

Her haughtiness couldn't fool me. Instead, I break my casting and stepped forward facing her.

"Then what? You wanted to consume my blood dry, incorporate it, and heal yourself. Why should I forfeit my life to a night creep like you?"

"I'm Kiss-shot Acerola-Orion Heart-under-blade." She proclaimed, still laying down on the cold floor.

"The iron-blooded, hot-blooded, and cold-blooded ancient ancestors, the shadow seat of 27 chairs of Dead apostle ancestors."

"Your meager life should felt honored to have your body incorporated inside of me."

"Beg for it," I said, ignoring her introduction. What a long name, even with my eidetic memories I couldn't confidently pronounce her names.

"Hah?" Her eyes widened as asking the sheer insanity behind my statement.

"Hey, I said beg for it." I poked her cheek.

"Stop that you human, and why should I beg lest I could forcefully take it from you, I can give you a painless death or a thousand misery."

"Is that so? Then please excuse me, this mere human is too, love his meager life," With an amused tone, I throw up my hand in the air as I walked away.

"Oy? Where you going, will you not save me?"

"Unfortunately you're not a damsel in distress, instead of the kind of monster who kept the princess inside the tower, nor am I a knight on a white stallion, how unfortunate." I don't a spare glance toward her.

"Oi…Plea…please, saves me!" She tried to reach forward as like her hand still exists, squirming on the ground.

"Please, I don't want to die, I don't want to die!" Then seeing me not stopping, she flailed around like a child who denied them of their candies.

Wiping off my smirk, I turned towards her.

"Rejoice, Kiss-shot Acerola-Orion Heart-under-blade, I shall save you but everything has a price." Producing a piece of paper, I showed it to her.

"Your Life, or your freedom? Your choice."
