Oh Love Me Mistress: A Kaguya Crossover Fic

Chapter 15 - The threat on the Horizon

The moon had disappeared, yet the night still goes on.

The hustle-bustle now has been returned. Never, I thought the eeriness from before was all because a boundary field that placed on the subway station.

Fufufu, sneaking out the mansion today was a right thing to do. Not only I could spend my boredom, but also regaining a powerful fami…servant, I mean.

"Never I thought I would bound myself to a human, well use your fleeting life to entertain me o' master of mine," Yeah, right servant.

The blonde voluptuous bloody nugget from before was gone, replaced with an innocent babyface that put any candy Ojisan nearby wilds.

It will match my age she said, my a.s.s.

Now she presided on my shadow, inhaling each of the offerings I would give to Kaguya.

"Yes, yes servant of mine."

Then, my face slightly formed into a frown. "Hey, Shinobu…" Don't ask me, she told me to call her that name

I don't deserve my previous name if there's a chain bound between my necks, she said. Typical vampires pride.

"What is it, master," I could felt she tilted slightly while chomping another bite of the sweets.

"How many people it needs to took you down and put you in that state," I asked.

No matter what, there must be some sort of repercussion each time somebody gained power, a price of sorts.

Dead apostle, or what mundane people called as vampires. They are the bane of all living thing, they prey upon and consume mortal flesh.

Let me told you something ironic, as unnatural as they are. Dead apostles were something recognized by the planet. Or Gaia in this cases the will of the planet. They're akin to anti-toxin to combat humanities.

"Ah, three, it was three people." She shrugged.

"I see, any chance you know them?" I pursed my lips.

"Oh? Aren't you the jealous type, asking a lady of their acquaintances." I rolled my eyes at her teasing.

Then she continues.

"Well, I don't know, the strong didn't need to pay heed of the weak but for certain they're a weak, terribly weak master," She said.

"Then why, you Kiss-shot Acerola-Orion Heart-under-blade who ruled the shadow seat of the strongest of the 27 dead apostles was defeated by them and even got a chunk of your power stolen?"

A pause before she answered, a hint of frustration behind her voice, "Tch, I played too much they lure me in right to their ritual circle, It was the downfall of the strong to the weak."

"After that, with the last remnant of your power, you ran away before they could deal the final blow, is that so?" I continued.

The worst case, no we will certainly deal with church executor from the Vatican, they're the only group who actively hunt dead-apostle and other abhorrent entities that preyed upon mankind.

I rather not have a designation placed on my back by them, if comes to worst I will negotiate with them.

What certain is they will not let their prey whose has been weakened, slip by their grasp.

Then again, they didn't know I have a method to restore Kiss-shot to her full power. And they didn't know me either.

If I play my card rights, I could deal with a quick and decisive strike to them, read their mind, retrieve Shinobu limbs and leave before anyone could witness without a trace.

If I knew their current place that is.

The Mooncell wouldn't give me its observation data, so classic info gathering it will be.

Or perhaps laying a trap? No, too risky. I didn't know their power, as weak as they will be, that's from Shinobu own perspective. I couldn't know for sure until I was certain.

"Right, my original objective would be to lure someone in and make them my puppet to regain my lost powers," Or her limb in this case.

"Well, thanks to your power master, I could regain the lost power back," She shrugged nonchalantly, her constant chomping of dough played behind my mind;

"But, that doesn't mean you will completely forgive them, is that so?"

"As expected of my master, your guess pierced right through my mind." She beamed.

Is that even worth to be praised over? She's a creature who knows no compassion or moral, doing so will only restrict their lifestyle or they were too bored of their eternal life. Wanting revenge is natural as breathing air for her who also had her pride wounded.

As I had turned on the road, a man in rather…eccentric outfit leans towards the wall beside the road.

Naturally, my magic circuit flared to life, preparing a spell inside my repertoire.

"Woah, Woah, the boy over there…could you calm down," He held both of his hand, a sweat drop faintly trickling down his vein, "I just want to talk, yes?"

"Why should I trust you?" I warily said.

'Please beware, master. They are rather a bunch of deceitful people,' Shinobu linked to me.

"Well, I'm Oshino Meme, an informant dabbling inside of the moonlit world, a spellcaster."

Spellcaster, unlike the traditional magus who zealot-ly tried to reach Akasha, the spellcaster is a term used for those who dabble in magecraft but not using it to reach Akasha.

"An informant, isn't that the more reason I shouldn't trust you?"

"Well every person who at least had a healthy suspicion would say so right," He muttered, "But, please just trust me this time, I'm sure you won't regret it."

'Just accept his offer master, not as they could harm us, furthermore, you got a reliable Shinobu-chan guarding your back.'

Please give me back my innocence. I particularly remembered her ecstasy upon regaining her powers and limb after using my mystic eyes on her. Smothering me between those two Fuji mountains...

"Very well, it better worth it," I said with a frown, ignoring my adolescent stupid imagination.

He chuckled at my responses, "For now, please follow me. Can't get our conversation heard by anyone yeah?"
