That night I stayed up talking to Eliot the guard and Janette giving the excuse I'm more of a night person because I can avoid humans easier that way, that got a few worried expressions, Tripp got Eleanor to give me a check-up. They were very surprised by the neutrophil uniform, but I gave some excuse about my dad being the lead scientist in some living clothing made of cells, only three were successfully made and it binds to your genetic makeup, Ignoring the sus looks I directed the conversation.

When they asked if I was travelling with anyone my excuse was My mum was apparently killed in the beginning just after I was born, my dad looked after me mostly by himself and taught me everything I know, we got caught off guard by a few deadums and got bit trying to escape, that was a month ago.

Once the sun started rising, I went to get some sleep, I'd stayed up all night, got into my first fight and lied through my teeth to a bunch of random people. I'd assume everyone was told about my existence because when I woke up around 3pm a few people new my name and was asking how I was feeling, or gushing over my little fox companion. I looked around for a while eventually finding what I was looking for, Clementine, she is sitting inside a building eating all by herself. Her baseball cap with the letter D clearly indicating her person

I walk into the building, at the sound of the door opening Clementine looks to me then back at her food, probably grown here at the airport.

"Hi my names Theodore, this little girl is my friend Eve, what's your name." I use the little kid advantage, she won't be dismissive of a child, probably.

"The names Clementine kid. You should run off to your parents before they start worrying." She says, looking up for barely a second before returning to her feed.

"My parents aren't here and you looked lonely, so I wanted to hang out with you"

"What do you mean your parents aren't…" She starts to question then stops and thinks. "Sorry for your loss, it never gets easier. You want something to eat?"

"I'm fine I ate just before, so do you live here or are you just staying for a bit?"

"I, umm, ran into some trouble and need to find my bearings, I will need a car and lots fuel, so you probably won't see me after today." By this point it seems she has lost her appetite but doesn't want to waste the food.

"When are you leaving?"

"I'm probably going to leave first thing tomorrow, maybe I can avoid some of the arguing about not letting kids leave, I have things to do, I can't stay in this shithole, no place stays safe forever."

"Well if your leaving tomorrow do you want to watch a movie with me tonight?"

"What do you mean watch a movie, even if there is electricity, they aren't going to let you waste it on a T.V."

"You misunderstood me" I grab the last of her broccoli and shove it in my mouth, before I think about the horrible taste, I grab her arm with one hand and drag her all the way to where I was allowed to sleep today.

"Sit on the bed" She is still a little confused but sees no harm in doing as I say.

I open my suitcase and move the cloths off of the top, underneath there is my laptop case, some solar panels to charge it, some snacks and bottled water. Taking out the laptop and my hard drive out of one of the pockets I show her it a "Ta Da! let's watch some movies" I jump on the bed next to her and start to set up the laptop.

"So, you can choose any movie you want, this folder here is full of my personal favourites" I move a little to let her choose, she seems to hesitate for a bit before cl.i.c.k.i.n.g tapping the favourites folder on the screen and cl.i.c.k.i.n.g on the first movie Avatar.

At first Clem seemed uncomfortable but I gave her my pillow to hug while Eevee curled up in the middle under the blanket, once avatar was finished, she shyly asked if we could watch something else, so I chose John Wick a personal favourite. We stayed up until 2 in the morning watching movies and eating some snacks even watching World War Z which she seemed particularly interested in. Once I noticed She had fallen asleep I closed the laptop and packed it away and deciding I was a little tired from watching movies I joined Clem in the dream land.

"Nyaaa" I wake with a yawn at the first sign of sunlight, stretching my limbs. I look towards my still sleeping companion cuddling with Eevee, it's absolutely adorable. I manage to slowly get out of bed without alerting the two and grab my phone out of my suitcase to take a photo of them.

'Hopefully I'll be able to convince Clem to come back with me, she'd be a great ally. I will probably set up a safe point somewhere around here, maybe add some auto-targeting turrets, add in some rules. I don't know I'll leave that for the future, right now I'm just here to make contact and increase my K/D.'

[The way you say it is kind of disturbing, you do realise that Theo]

'I don't know, it makes it sound easier than I'm planning to kill a bunch of child murderers. I know I've killed zombies, but I've never killed living person and you know the cliché of throwing up or fainting.'

I don't respond but the smile on my face probably says it all.

"Come on Clementine, you said you wanted to leave first in the morning." I shake her to wake.

"Huh? What time is it?" She says slowly getting up out of bed.

"The sun is just coming up right about now, people will start getting up real soon." I Respond ensuring everything is in my suitcase bar my phone which I stash in one of the pockets my leg. Normally this time in the morning I would attempt to practice my Taiichi but when I woke yesterday, I could just feel that I wouldn't get anywhere, I guess it's the main difference between saint and mortal worlds i.e. The amount of energy.

"Shit! I was hoping to wake up earlier to leave without anyone noticing." She gets up and without so much as a goodbye, rushes out of the room.

Not wanting to be left too far behind I grab the suitcase and go after her.

"Eevee vee Eee!" Eevee shouts as she jumps out of the bed not wanting to be left behind either.

I manage to keep Clementine within sight as she runs to a building 4 doors down the runway, deciding to wait for her rather than barging in I sit on my suitcase and give Eevee some head pats and chin scratches.

Not a minute passes and Clementine walks out of the building wearing a blue jumper with a red scarf, she's carrying a shotgun and has a small black duffle bag on her back that looks like its falling apart, all of her cloths are dirty in comparison to me who is wearing spotless white clothing dragging a dark purple suitcase.

"What to you think you are doing Theodore?" she seems to do a double take when she notices me standing at the door.

"I'm coming with you, I never planned to stay here, and it was fun talking last night."

"No, I don't travel with other people, and I don't want to take a kid into danger" she starts off certain but seems to be thinking about something else when she talks about me being a kid.

"Well if you don't want to take me can you at least take this suitcase, it has lots of food and water, you can even watch movies." I push the suitcase into her hands.

"No Theodore, I can't take this, you need it more than me, I can look after myself out there."

"Don't worry about me, I'm meeting up with someone who has the same stuff so Ill be fine. There's also some medicine if you need it." That last part seems to convince her.

She looks down to my eyes "Thank you Theodore, if we meet in the future, I'll find a way to pay you back." She turns to the gate dragging the suitcase behind her.

"Hey Clem! If we meet in the future just call me Theo!" I shout to which she turns and smiles at me before continuing to leave
