One Love Betrayal, Another Bliss..

Lucas's POV...

Sitting on the bed, I gave myself a pep talk. I had finally gathered enough courage to walk over to Ruby's room when a familiar sound floated in through the door. I heard sobs. I remembered how she was hurts earlier and I gathered my wits as I knock on her door. She opened and I stepped inside.

She was dressed in short shorts and a skimpy loose tank top. Her lovely face was covered in tears. She seemed to be struggling slightly with me particularly seeing her in this situation. Before I could think, I walked silently over to her and without thinking, placed my hands on her shoulder smoothing her. "Are you crying?" My heart ached watching like this. She looked up, said. 'Its noth... I....' I hugged and told her, I'm her boss and she can talk to me. I more willing to listen.

Then, she told me about her relationship with Marcus, how they're met, years together, being engaged.... I was just desperate to know what she is going through, that what the bothered me. She inhaled deeply and exhaled before telling me about Marcus and her cousin, how she caught them in acts. I hugged her even more tighters.

I lowered my hand towards her waist and she hesitated. I hauled her up to her petite 5'4" feet frame. I may have been too over re-acting, her feet lost balance and her front pressed gently to my c.h.e.s.t. Her breath hitched as I felt her b.r.e.a.s.t brush against my c.h.e.s.t accidentally. Ruby regained her footing as a slight lull in the conversation thickened the air around us. She was still pressed up against me and I tried to think of anything else but the way her body felt against mine.

Recognition took over her face. 'Lucas!' she breathed. 'This don't make sense, you're my boss.' I assured her I like her. She murmured something and looked down at her feet. Startled, I looked at her quizzically and told her, I will never hurt her? Assured her that, I will never let her leave me. I wanted to tell her that I love her. Tell her how I felt since the first day we met, how attractive she's but I ended up blurting out, 'nothing...' comforting her instead.

The look on her face was priceless. It was sad and happy at the same time. I lose my self control, I kissed her, not once but twice. She gently pushed herself away from my tall frame for the first time, blushing and for the second time, she exactly return my kiss and this make me thrilled. Since the first time, we met I was attracted to her. I wanted her by my side, I wanted to protect her but I fought the urge to tell her the truth, to hug her, to hold her then. But today, I letting myself off.. I wouldn't hold back my feelings for her anymore. I'm gonna make her mine. I thought to myself.

Ruby's POV...

After shower, I was sitting on the bed, looked back at myself recalling my memories with him. Unknowningly, tears began to flowed down my cheeks. Was I thinking of about Marcus again? Out of a sudden, I heard a knocked on my door, opened and saw Lucas.

I smiled slightly and my brows furrowed.

He asked. 'Why? Are you crying?' I felt his hand on my shoulder as he never wanted to see me upset, hugged and whispered in my ear '..... He like me.' I wasn't sure of how to reacts as the sudden hugs bring a tingle down my spine. But I was no longer feeling hurts as his warmth covered me.

After a moment of silence, I managed to explain everything what happened between me Marcus and my cousin. His reaction wasn't exactly what I expected, for a second he seemed calm, then the next, there's full of angers. He held me for hours, petting my hair, kissing my cheeks, and murmuring sweet words until my sobs and tears were gone.

I pushed him away. I always knew I couldn't escape being in love but the thought of betrayal, make me timidly tensed. I wouldn't want to go through another heart-break again, I don't think my heart could handle it. He assured me he will never hurt me. Lucas said and pulled me into his embraced. Due to my unbalance feet, my whole body gently crushed into him.

With my 5'4" short frame against his 6'0" tall masculine figure, my face fell directly on his c.h.e.s.t and flushed deeply. I felt heated in all the right or wrong places at the same time. When I managed to stand straight, he stared at my blushing face and smiled brightly.

After a moments later, he kissed me again, hugging me tightly. I hadn't realized I had kissed him back. 'What have got into me? I wouldn't be supposed to be doing this. He's my boss.' I looked up again and he gave a proud assurance smile.
