Lucas waits at the school gates and watching students walk by. When he sees Ruby walking towards him, gorgeous in white, he gets out and opens her door for her. He was stunned by how pretty she was when he first saw her. Since the day, he finally won her over and to this day his heart still races when he sees her.

To Lucas, no woman is as beautiful as her. He had been in love before, even though he had been in many relationsh.i.p.s. Ruby was always on his mind, even when she wasn't with him. He knew that he wasn't her first, but because she was so beautiful, he understood why. For him not to mind that she was with Marcus before him indicated that he truly love her. All that was left for him to do was to figure out how to get her to marry him.

Lucas couldn't wait to get his buddy, Aaron thoughts on this when he met with him at the airport this morning, but received a cold reply. "Did your head get damaged?" Aaron taunted, displeased. "Get married to her? A lot of college students want to bag a rich man when they graduate so that they don't have to find work." Aaron was travelling to City-M today to meet some investors.

Lucas started to get angry, but then decided to forgive Aaron. He just didn't know how cute Ruby was. Lucas only became more determined to win Ruby completely when he discovered he loved her. Naturally, he knew that a prestigious man wouldn't marry someone of a lower class. But, Ruby's family back in City X were of the quite wealthy side.

Lucas came back to the present, seeing Ruby smiling at him. She thought, he looked handsome even just wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. She stops herself from running into his arms and crying her eyes out. Lucas kisses her sweetly, ignoring the stares from the other students, even Fennie and Jasper. They get in his car, and she looks over at Lucas. She do loved him and the thought of her losing him frightened her.

"Why are you back so early? You said you'll be back only tonight. I have been waiting.....?" She stops urgently. "I took the first flight back. I want to give you a surprise." Lucas turns wanting to kiss her cheek. But before he does, Ruby leans in and at the very second, she kiss his lips instead. She laughs. "Got you!" She looks at his bright, happy face, and sighs.

Lucas drives towards First Avenue, confusing Ruby. "Where are we going?" "You'll know when we get there. Since its your last day of school, I will treat you something nice." Lucas says, holding her hand. He takes her to Armani 1st Avenue Mall, a designer store that also had its own restaurant. "We're having lunch here?" She asked. "We can have lunch after we buy something. I have to get a gift for my relative, and I need you to try it on in her place." Lucas said.

Ruby never liked it when he bought her expensive things and was relieved to hear that it wasn't for her. She wasn't with him because of his wealth, and detested being thought of as a gold-digger. They walk up to the front reception and Lucas greeted a sharply dressed man behind the counter. "Your boss called me, saying that my order has arrived."

The man nods and escorts them to a back room. He then proceeds to open a safe, and pulls out a black velvet box. He opens it and shows it to Lucas. What was inside was an elegant gold necklace, adorned with emeralds, with a bracelet and teardrop earrings to match. In between the jewels was delicate gold roses. Ruby is amazed. It was clearly a very valuable item, and she became curious about who was going to receive it.

Lucas nods at the associate, who puts on white gloves before retrieving the pieces from the box. Ruby begins to look worried and he gives her a reassuring smile. "Don't be nervous. My relative is as thin as you. Just try them on." Her palms become sweaty and heavier as the costly jewellery is placed on her. She doesn't move for fear of breaking something valuable. Lucas guides her to stand in front of a mirror, seeing how she looked so graceful and dignified.

"Not bad." Lucas said, satisfied. He saw that Ruby is still stiff. "You're afraid to move?" He says, amused. "They won't break, unless you smash them with a hammer of course." He is bewitched by her, dressed in jewels. "It almost feels like giving it to someone else would be such a waste.. We should get something else." Ruby turns to face him, disapproval written on her face. "No way! Take them away then!" He touches her waist. "Why not? I say we should." Lucas voiced.

The associate reaches in a drawer, and produces an envelope to Lucas. "Mr. Yii, here is the invoice, certificate of authenticity, the warranty, and the care instructions. Keep it safe. This jewelry set qualifies for free cleaning and maintenance, should it be required." Lucas slips it in his pocket, and took her hand before she could protest further. "Let's hurry, I'm hungry!" Ruby walks cautiously, making him laugh. They arrive at the exclusive Japanese restaurant, and sit down next to the window. Lucas suddenly points at her wrist. "Ruby, where is the bracelet?"

Ruby panics, grabbing her right wrist before realizing that the bracelet was on her left. She looks at him and sees that he is grinning. She smacks his arm. "Don't do that to me! You freaked me out!" Lucas smiled. "Sunshine, you are too cute. Come, let's eat." They make their way back to the college after lunch, as she need to get her car parked at the school compound.
