One Love Betrayal, Another Bliss..

At the other side, in Huang's mansion, Marcus was scheming ways to get Ruby back to his side. 'Wasn't Lilian enough for him. No!!! She was only his play toy and not because of his father, he treats her like his own daughter and not with her two months pregnancy that baby was his, he wouldn't care less. His heart still holds his ex.' Marcus thoughts.

While the other corners inside the hotel of City-X, Aaron frowned because of the deafening music in the surroundings. The handsome trio passed through the crowd under the bright light and glanced around at the faces of the men and women who were indulging themselves with the foods served in the cafe, and quickly looked away. The trio found a spot right at the corner and sat down.

The two arrived at the cafe and joined their friends' table. At the table, the five held on their menu looking into the many fine foods served. They made their orders and soon the foods were served. Both she and Lucas ordered a full English breakfast and coffee. While having their breakfast, they chats along the ways. She was eating her food and she watched Lucas in awe, thought how perfect this special moment was.

After breakfast, James suggested going to the famous MG mall. Lucas got the hotel reception to arrange a driver and an MPV to drive them there. As usual, Ruby sat at next to Lucas. About thirty minutes, the driver dropped them at the shopping mall and before driving away.

"Oh! We're here." Ruby collected herself and took her time to get off the car. "Be careful! Walk quickly!" After he had instructed her, Lucas grabbed Ruby by the waist and turned towards the entrance. Ruby remained puzzled for few seconds though staring at him. 'As if I never been here. Hello, I'm born in City-X.' She shook her head and decided not to ponder over it.

Merely a few steps later, someone blocked their way. She looked refined and cultured. Zhou ShuangYi pointed her finger at Ruby and surveyed her carefully. "Eh? Aren't you... you..." A familiar face, but Ruby couldn't recall her name in that moment. "Zhou ShuangYi!" Ruby said calmly. ShuangYi finally remembered her. "Oh... that famous girl who loves by every boys in school, Ruby Tang."

Ruby was speechless... Lucas and the trio was also speechless... ShuangYi maintained her elegance and refined air as she looked at Ruby. "I'm here with AnShi, Daniel, Charlotte, LuoWei even the twins Tania and Tanner when we all saw you just now. They sent me over to invite you guys to join us in the cafe."

"Alright." Lucas nodded and agreed without hesitation. Ruby was a little hesitant but it wasn't because she didn't want to join them. Although she didn't mention anything about Ruby's past, she knew them too well to know that they would definitely spilt the beans to him. Lucas and the trio on the other hand are awaiting for this opportunity.

"Come on, everyone's waiting." ShuangYi didn't give her time to hesitate and turned to lead the way. The name of this cafe was The First Taste because literally all the patrons of this cafe are mostly from regular customers to group hangouts. While Ruby entered, the entire room instantly quiet down, everyone looked towards the door together. Ruby calmly looked around and introduced Lucas, Dennis, James and Aaron to them.

Ruby rarely joined such hangouts. All these years, she had been reclusive. Apart from school, she usually would not go out and be in too much contact with anyone except Marcus. Ruby had been asked by everyone about her well-being to her ex and love life. While sitting beside her, Lucas could not help but politely smile.

Ruby followed Charlotte gaze looking towards Aaron. Her eyes pooled with urge and shyness but she dared not approach him. Seeing Charlotte like this, Ruby could not help but chuckled. Charlotte seeing that Ruby had retrieved her gaze and was chatting away with Lucas again, Charlotte could not help but turn to chats with Tania.

Upon noticing Ruby and Lucas closeness, the four girls, ShuangYi, AnShi, Tania and Charlotte could not help but look envious. Ruby, you're so lucky! All your boyfriend is so sweet and loving to you!" Ruby was surprised by their words and stared back at them. "Oops.. sorry, we forgotten that you and him." AnShi apologized. Obviously, they're talking about Marcus infront of Lucas.

The atmosphere turned a little weird. Lucas chuckled softly and did not say anything but shifted his eyes towards her. Now that interesting and he was not rushing to leave watching them chats. He watched Ruby with interest who was playing dumb, casually held up her coffee and drank it sip by sip. Its had been for almost an hour they're here so Ruby stood up to made her leave. Lucas and the trio followed but before they leave, he gestured the waiter for the bills without anyone knowledge. Ruby's friends was shocked when the waiter announced that bills had been settled by Lucas.

When they reached the first floor, Dennis stopped at a jewelry shop. He turned to look at Ruby, asked. "What gift would be suitable for a friend's daughter?" Ruby looked down slightly and replied with nonchalance. "I don't know her so I wouldn't know the kind of gifts she really like. But if it for birthday, I guess bracelet or earing should be nice."
