One Love Betrayal, Another Bliss..

Ruby turned over and smelled something fragrant through the bedroom's door. Ruby was tempted by the scent and could not lie down any longer. She abruptly stood up and clambered down the bed.

However, the moment her feet touched the ground, she fell backward onto the bed. Her legs were so weak, she could not even stand up! She laid on the bed quietly for a several seconds before gritting her teeth to stand up.

After managing a few steps and taking out what she needed from the closet, she turned to return to the bed but could not bear her body's ache. She almost fell toward the side after taking one step forward.

Lucas, who entered the bedroom at that moment, held her up and pressed her into his embrace. "How did you slip and fall even in your own bedroom?"

Slip? Fall? 'She didn't purposely slip or fall, okay. She clearly could not stand because of him, her legs were so weak!'

Ruby tossed the clothes in her hand at him. "It's because of you that I lost all my strength! If we continue like this, I won't even be able to step out of this house to my college!"

Lucas glanced at her angered, bright red face and softly chuckled. "If you don't have strength to go out, then how will you have the energy to eat breakfast?"

Ruby turned away to ignore him. He had teased her even though it was apparent why she had fallen earlier. She was truly the first to discover the nasty character this man hiding inside his bones. She was going to be driven to her grave by her own anger.

Although her head was turned away, her hands successfully snatched her clothing back from him. She tugged the loose dress over her own body.

Lucas saw her puffed cheeks and her anger. All of a sudden, he wrapped his arm around her waist and carried her up. Ruby turned her head around. "Lucas! What are you doing?"

"Didn't you say that you don't have any strength at all? I will carry you to breakfast." His words were straight to the point. By the time he had finished speaking, he had already carried her out of the bedroom.

The sunlight landed on the dining table. It was only after Lucas carried her over to sit down, placing her on his l.a.p and pressing a glass of warm milk against her lips, that Ruby returned to her senses. Frightened over how doting he was, she tried to leave his embrace. Her small heart really could not take it!

Before she could even leave his embrace when Lucas pressed her down. "You don't even have the strength to drink this glass of milk?"

Ruby "...."

Ruby instinctively grabbed the glass from his hands, signaling that she could drink it herself and drank a big gulp. "I do it by myself. I can eat breakfast by myself."

She originally wanted to be pampered, but this man was really crafty. Yesterday, he get the butler to cook Chinese breakfast and today's breakfast was simple, Western style. Toast bread, milk, scramble eggs and ham, etc etc...

Eventually, she wanted to stay at home today due to her weaken leg but she have an afternoon class later. At around 11am, she began getting ready for her afternoon class at 2pm. She packed her laptop when her handphone, placed on the table, rang.

Ruby glanced at it and found it was a familiar number. She casually answered, "Hello, what is it?" Fenny gave her a call to ask about having lunch together to starts off the new year.

Marcus held her in his arms while he lowered his head, his lips landing on her long hair. Her silky hair was beautifully scented and he kissed it thoroughly. "Before I met you, I did love Ruby very much, you knew it too. But that was in the past already. Furthermore, she now led a happy life with Lucas. I felt jealous and didn't feel great when I heard about their marriage. But that was her choice. To be honest, why is it you? I can't seem live a day without you by my side? Lillian, I do love you too. Let bygones be bygones now.. ok!"

"Let's not talk about other things again. Now tell me, did you miss me? I missed you every moment since the day you runaway and when I couldn't see you at home. I got used to your being around, yearned to kiss your cherry lips and hug you close. You're such a naughty little thing, you off your mobile phone and didn't even reply to my text!"

Lillian's eyes were filled with tears and she felt warmth in her heart. Stretching out her slender arms, she hugged his muscular body, burying her face right above his heart and listened to his powerful heartbeat. After getting his answer, Lillian hugged him even more tightly. This is what she needs, his confirmation. She was thankful to have him come looking for her here.

"Yup.. mentioning your mobile phone. Why did you change your number. Are you trying to cut all ties with me, my family and even Tang's family."

Lillian, "...." could not answered him. Infact, she was planning to totally cut ties with all of them at first but afraid that Marcus might scolds her again, remained to kept this secret sealed.

When the Ye's siblings back from their normal routines, they were shocked to find a man inside their home.
