One Love Betrayal, Another Bliss..

On the way back from their dinner, it began to drizzle. Raindrops tapped on the car windows. The view of the outside world became a blurry. Ruby felt chilly and pulled in her shoulders. Such a small reaction was nevertheless noticed by Lucas Yii.

"Come closer to me if you're cold." Lucas said as he pulled her by the wrist. Ruby's body fell straight into his arms, where she could hear his strong heartbeat.

Perhaps it was the car's air conditioning, or the fact that she was laying in his arms, but she felt a lot warmer then. The car moved steadily in the traffic and finally made its stop in front of their presidential suite.

Ruby went to open the door, but he pulled her back and whispered in her ear. "Why are you hurrying?"

Ruby "...." Then said. "Unless you're planning to hibernate in here, or we should get out now."

Lucas raised his eyebrow but said nothing more and he finally let her go. He carried her down the car, and two guards who were on duty at the main entrance came over and kept them covered under the umbrellas.

A cold breeze blew passed, and she huddled to him a little closer. Lucas chuckled teasingly and said. "You better not fall sick, or I'll be losing out on my reward."

Ruby, "...."

Of course that was who he was, his mind was now filled with dirty thoughts. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you're so satisfied.. that you die on the spot." Ruby shot back. Having spent so much times with him, she had picked up some lingo as well.

However, this wasn't her first time saying this to him, but it still made her feel guilty and embarrassed.

Lucas licked his tongue and studied her slightly blushed red face. "I'm glad that you have figured out what to do for tonight's entertainment."

Ruby "…" Can she just take back what she had said, and pretended nothing happened?

The two umbrella-men, Tian and Hank, rolled their eyes sky high. Why on earth did they listen to their bantering? Both guards sending eyes contacts, thoughts they must ask this big boss for advice when they taming their women later.

Once they were inside the suite, Ruby stood on her own two feet and pushed Lucas away. "You should get some rest."

Lucas studied her deeply, replied. "Don't you worry. I always rest for a few days more every month. And... "I wouldn't mind if you rest for a few more too." Then continued again. "You should be proud that your to-be husband is so capable on bed."

Ruby "…"

Ruby's face reddened again. She knew that she was no match for him when it came to a battle of words, so she walked away awkwardly.

The quiet, morning sunlight filtered in through the windows. Ruby had been bullied all night and was now sleeping deeply. The moment she opened her eyes, she thought Lucas had already left for work and tried to get up.

However, she was pressed back down before she could even move. A b.a.r.e c.h.e.s.t was snugly pressed against her bareback. She was stunned, turned around to glance at the man lying by her side. His perfect face was charmingly handsome under the sunlight, causing one to wonder if he was God's flawless creation. Although he had just woken up, his black eyes were as clear and bright as water.

After being pressed down for the entire night, she was slightly afraid of him. Subconsciously, she twisted to avoid him, and tried to get but was pressed down again by him on the bed.

"Why are you awake so early?" The man's voice was light and slightly husky.

"By the way, it should be almost 8am, why haven't you get ready for work yet... There's a new year resolution meeting today, right?" Ruby asked.

"The senior management meeting is at 11am, and my company's just downstairs. I'll accompany you to sleep for another one or two hours. There's no rush on it." True, their presidential suite was at the tallest peak of Lucas's company, Spark International Cooperation building.

She turned around to see that the man's black hair was slightly messy. "Not going to sleep more?" he asked.

Subconsciously, Ruby wanted to reply.... but seeing Lucas's sincerity on accompany her to rest, she did not try to get up further. She moved her gaze back and could not help but look up at the man as he closed his eyes. Looking at his peaceful face and charming brow, it was impossible to comprehend how this man was incessantly demanding of her last night.

After a horrible torture last night, Ruby decided to never banter with him again in the future. This man never stopped finding new ways to make her suffer to satisfied himself! Her entire body was sore, she needed more sleep.

She fell asleep in his arms without any awareness. This time, she only slept for about an hour before she suddenly awoke. Her hands moved around the bed. Although the sheets still held some of Lucas's clean scent, he was no longer around.
