One Love Betrayal, Another Bliss..

The next morning sunlight shone into Ruby's room, waking her up. Ruby headed to the bathroom to take a hot shower and finally after her shower, she got dressed in black shirt without sleeves, black jeans, light blue jacket and white sneakers. Ruby headed downstairs to the kitchen and saw breakfast was served. After Aunt Geneva stayed with us, she was incharge of our daily meals from breakfast to dinner. She's a great cook too but mother have some maids assisting her too.

"You're up bright and early. Not the usual you." Said Aunt Geneva sounding surprised. "Well, I woke up with a few things on my mind, also I need to go over to college to get something done before school reopen.." I said. Aunt Geneva brought over my porridge. "It's hot.." She said. "Thank to you Aunt. Where's Lillian? Is she still over at Elsie's place?" I asked. Aunt Geneva nodded.

"Why don't you take a shower first, while I go check the kitchen. I have put your toothbrush and facial cleaner in the bathroom cabinet." Elsie said. Lillian was used to sleeping over at her house and she had her spare toiletries kept in Elsie's home. Last night, they came back very late after their Valentine's party that ends at 2.00am, however, she's need to let her mom knows that Lillian's here. "Well, if you do need a change, the usual, my wardrobe are free for you to choose." Elsie said graciously. They have being best friend since kinder. Elsie like to share her things with Lillian and especially during the time her parents passed away, although still young, Elsie's the one who sticks by her side. "Oh thank you so much. Sounds good." Lillian answered while heading for the bathroom.

I went to the bathroom, took a shower and brushed my teeth. After done, I went to Elsie's closet and put on a short long sleeved black dress that had a pink and white flowers on it. I decided to fishtail braid my hair and apply a clear gloss over my lips that makes my fair skin tone stand out. After I finished getting ready, I headed downstairs. I greeted Elsie's parents and told her, its her turn to shower now.

After their breakfast, Lillian spent few minutes at her tablet, trying to get some drawing done. "We really need to go now. We have plans to make, so let's not waste time." Elsie said to her. They had make an appointment to meet Marcus at his company around 11.00am to discuss and find sponsorship for their school projec. Lillian was very nervous to meet him, maybe because what she had a crush on him and what he had done during Ruby's birthday. She never expected Marcus to dance with her after her cousin request. His voice and scents still lingers in her head.

We took a cab to Huang's International Corporation. When we reached Marcus's company, we headed straight to the front office at ground floor. "Hello, how can I assist you?" The receptionist asked. "We are here to see Mr Marcus Huang. We have an appointment with him at 11.00am." Elsie replied. "May I know your name?" She asked again. "Ms Elsie Tung and Ms Lillian Tang." I said. She then called Marcus's secretary to let her know our existence. The receptionist put down her phone. "Miss, our Vice-President is on the 20th floor. Just take the lift round the corner over there. Have a good day!" We headed to the lift as directed.

When the lift 'ding' on the 20th floor, we will greeted by Marcus's secretary sitting at her desk. "Hello, you must be Ms Lillian and Ms Elsie. Our Vice-President is waiting for you. Come, this way..."

We said. "Thank you" and followed her walking toward the door. The secretary softly knocked, then we heard a cold voice that said. "Come in." When she opened the door, Marcus was at his desk frowning over some paperwork. We walked in and reluctantly broke his concentration.

"Ohh! You're here." Marcus said. "Take a seat at the couch. Just give me a minutes." Marcus said brightly. He was wearing a grey suit with a black tie and black shoes. You could tell he had a lot of muscles. They were showing through his suit. And wow he is just so handsome. Upon seeing him, my heart skipped a beat. I paused and tried to calm my heart, thought to myself. 'Snap out of it Lillian. He's Ruby's fiance. Get yourself together.'

We went through the basics of introducing our school projects. "Can I see the drawings please?" Marcus asked. "Oh yeah! Of course. Here you go." Elsie said while handing him the tablet. He started going through the drawings, seem impressed. "Very impressive." He said. "Thank you." We replied while smiling. After a good silence he said, he will discuss with the Board of Management and come back to us. We nodded, thank him and bid farewell while walking out of his office.
