One Piece Bounty Wars

Chapter 68 - Gran Tesoro

A week had passed since Jack had gotten together with Luke and the others to make a plan to take out Tesoro. Jack told Dragon and a few others about his plan, making sure everyone knew to be on guard while they were gone in case the marines tried to do something stupid.

"When are you all leaving?" Dragon asked Jack, thinking about how this event would shock the world.

After all, Gran Tesoro was no ordinary pirate ship. It was the largest casino in the world, 10 kilometers long with a city built on the inside. It housed 20% of all the world's circulated money, and was recognized by the World Government as an independent nation.

People came there from all over the world to gamble there, but all ended up losing everything and were forced to work to repay their debts, or in reality, they became slaves.

Hearing Dragon's question, Jack looked to the others in the room that were going with him, then at the others who were part of his guild that were going to stay here.

"We'll be leaving tomorrow morning. We won't be making any stops unless something serious comes up, so we should get there shortly." Jack answered, getting a nod from Dragon.

"And what about the people on board?" Dragon asked, curious as to what Jack was going to do with them. After all, they weren't criminals WANTED by the government.

They were just people who were tricked and basically robbed by Tesoro and that bitch Baccarat. With her Devil Fruit, she literally stole the luck from people so they would lose high stake bets, something only a few people knew about.

"I'll give them the option to leave the ship and go back to wherever it is they wanna go, and the ones that wanna stay, like the workers who have nowhere else to go, well they can stay on the ship." Jack said, getting a confused look from Dragon.

"What are you going to do with Gran Tesoro?" Dragon asked after a moment of thought, but was unable to figure out what Jack might be planning.

Letting the suspense build up in the room, Jack smiled widely as he answered, "The port city near the tunnel connecting the East and North Blue's together will be somewhat of an attraction. I want to put Gran Tesoro there, bringing in funding from both of the Blue's. I also eventually want to replicate Gran Tesoro in the tunnel that we will eventually build through the West and South Blue. With these two cities, I'm hoping to pull more trade through the Blues."

Once again Dragon was impressed with Jack's planning. So far most everything he did, he did for the advancement of the world and not just for himself. Of course, Dragon knew Jack would claim ownership of these gambling cities and make a fortune, but the rest of the world would still make a killing.

"Besides Tesoro, who do we need to look out for?" Smoker asked, wondering if there were any major threats he might have to face.

"Tesoro has three members he considers his executives. One of them is a hulking mȧsȯċhɨsts' who is also a little bit of a sadist. He uses mostly brute strength and wields a massive battle-axe. Another one of them is the chief of security of Gran Tesoro. He is a creepy looking bastard with a head that is almost bigger than his body. He ate the Through-Through fruit, allowing him to pretty much move through objects, or make objects phase through people and trap them. The main target is a red-haired woman named Baccarat. Her Devil Fruit, the Luck-Luck Fruit, allows her to steal the luck from other people, and yes, it is extremely annoying in battle." Jack warned, getting a few nods from the others.

"The rest of the people are the standard henchmen, although lots of them are straight up slaves, so if we get rid of Tesoro and those three people first, then they should just fuċk right off." Jack added with a smile.

Tesoro and his three executives would for sure die, but the if they didn't need to kill the others then he wouldn't. Granted that didn't mean that he would go out of his way to make sure they lived, but he would still try. Maybe.

"Sounds good to me!! We'll all be ready at the docks bright and early!!" Luke exclaimed with dark smile on his face. He had been dreaming of killing Tesoro for a few months now, and scratching the man's name off his list would be the greatest gift he could give himself.

They had already discussed about the powers of their targets, and how they would handle certain situations, but for now they would just play it by ear, after all none of them had ever been to Gran Tesoro so they couldn't really make a solid plan.

"Do you need anything from me before we set out?" Jack asked Dragon. If everything went well, they should only be gone for a few days, but Jack still wanted to make sure Dragon's people were keeping busy in the North Blue.

"More track for the Sea Train, but other than that I should be fine." Dragon said, getting a nod in return. "I'll be sure to load a few ships full before we set out." Jack said calmly before everyone decided to call it a day.

Luke seemed the most excited as he left the room, an extra skip in his step, most likely already fantasizing Tesoro's head in his hands. Smoker went off with Robin, arm in arm. Jack noticed they were a lot more open about their relationship lately, but again, it wasn't his business so he kept out of it. .

He had his own life to worry about, and seeing Nojiko make her way over to him, he figured he better get back to it. "The baby wants watermelon!" Nojiko stated, already holding her hand out to get the fruit.

She also couldn't stand some of the things which she had previously loved, which was again confusing to Jack, but apparently it was the pregnancy. Not wanting to make her upset, Jack brought out a bowl of watermelon, already cut up with the seeds picked out.

Seeing the bowl of the requested fruit, Nojiko took it with a warm smile on her face, digging in right away. Jack tried to take a piece of the fruit, but as he took a piece and brought it to his mouth, he noticed Nojiko staring at him intently.

"Are you really stealing food from your baby?" She asked, making him sigh before putting the fruit back into her bowl, then bought another bowl for himself.

"You're getting spoiled." He commented tiredly as he took a bite of his own fruit. "I'm sorry, it must be really hard to watch me grow and carry YOUR baby inside of me!!" She shouted, then floated off in a huff of anger.

"*Sigh* She always does this!" Jack grumbled in annoyance.

Over the past three months, whenever he and Luke set off for the Grand Line, she would almost always make it seem like she was angry with him right before he left, so when he returned, he would have to apologize or do something to get her to calm down.

Really though, he knew it was all just an act on her part. She had known this would be how he did things even before they started dating, but that still didn't stop her from worrying about him.

So, the only thing she could really do was try to get him to not leave as much as she could, and when he did, make him want to hurry back to her.

She knew there was a big chance of him never coming back to her, but it was something she had to make peace with, as no matter what they did, they couldn't change the things they had done, not that she would take them back if she could.

"Oh the joys of a pregnant woman!" Luke said, a little too happily as he appeared next to Jack with a beer in each hand, extending one to Jack.

"I heard stories about this sort of thing, but I didn't think it would be so bad." Jack grumbled as he took the proffered beer. "I heard it gets a lot worse." Luke commented, making Jack do a spit-take. "*Cough!* I'm so fuċkėd!!" Jack exclaimed as he got his breathing back under control.

Luke chuckled darkly at Jack's expense as he added, "Don't worry about Nojiko. It's the kid you really got to stress about." Pausing to think about his future child, Jack turned to Luke and smacked him over the head.

"Would you shut up?!! That's a long ways off, and it shouldn't be that bad!" Jack stated ȧssuredly, but his eyes said otherwise. Rubbing his head in annoyance, Luke remarked, "Do you know anything about raising a child? They require a lot of work, especially yours!!"

Quirking an eyebrow at Luke, Jack asked, "What do you mean, especially mine?" Rolling his eyes at the question, Luke replied, "Think about it! This child is going to be a combination of both YOU and NOJIKO! Not to mention it's going to be spending much of it's life with Nami, ME, and the rest of our merry little band of misfits!"

Hearing all of that, Jack visibly shuddered. "Going to the moon doesn't seem like that bad of an idea." He mumbled quietly, although it was loud enough for Luke to hear, causing him to quirk an eyebrow at him.

"The moon?" He asked, wondering where the moon came into the equation.

"Just a back-up contingency plan if things go wrong, not important right now. Nojiko would never go there anyway." Jack answered, thinking she might skin him alive if he asked, and that would be after she had cut his dɨċk off.

Unless Jack and the rest of the people she cared about came with her, there was no way in hell Nojiko would be leaving the planet.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Jack asked, changing the subject from one that he didn't really want to try and explain. Luke nodded in ȧssurance, his eyes getting a bit serious at the question.

"I'm more than ready!" Luke said, a hint of anger in his voice. "We'll kill him." Jack said, knowing Luke was feeling a bit different from everybody else. "I want to be the one to take him out!" Hearing Luke's words, Jack wasn't all that surprised if he was being honest.

Although he couldn't help but ask, "You sure?" Luke again nodded, then downed the remainder of his beer.

"He was like us. He had everything taken from him by the nobles, was even a slave and branded... Now he acts just like them, taking the weak and forcing them to do his bidding, while also serving the very same fuċkers that took everything from him!! I'm gonna rip his fuċkɨnġ heart out and shove it down his throat! Then fill him with so much lightning I incinerate his very soul!!" Luke stated, his anger picking up a bit, only to disappear just as quickly.

Apparently erasing Tesoro's soul was a pretty calming thought. "Well... He's all yours." Jack said calmly as he got to his feet.

"Get some sleep. We'll travel all day, hopefully arriving sometime at night when the city is thriving with activity. Like we planned, this won't be the usual stealth, this is gonna be public. Tesoro ain't weak, so if he's ready for us it might be a little more challenging." That was the last thing Jack said before he walked off to go find Nojiko, leaving Luke to stand there for a moment before he headed Jack's words and left.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, everyone was waiting on the deck of the ship. It wasn't just the group going, but many of the people staying as well. Everyone apart of Dark Phoenix was there, Kureha included, while a few of the adventurers and W.M.P. members were there as well.

Dragon, Garp, Rayleigh, Tsuru, Sengoku, and Makino were all there to see them off, while also giving Jack a bit of an insurance that everything would be fine here while he was gone.

"Make it painful!" Garp shouted as Luke, Smoker, Tedi, and Lucian boarded a large bullet-looking contraption with jet wings. Garp had been very excited when he heard everything about what they were doing and why.

His enthusiasm for brutality against Tesoro and the other nobles made Jack wonder just how much he held himself back when he was a marine, but then dropped it a moment later.

The man wasn't a marine anymore and he honestly looked as though he was ten years younger since he joined Jack. Both he and Sengoku did, although Sengoku's wasn't all that surprising. Getting rid of a stress hazard like being Fleet-Admiral would make anyone look younger.

Luke and Jack both gave thumbs up of approval at Garp's request, not needing to say anything more. """BYE!!""" Soran, Selene and Apis shouted as they waved their hands in the air. The trio was almost never apart from each other, and a few people actually made comments about how they would take the world by storm when they got older.

"Bye!" Luke shouted back, bring his fist to his heart before he disappeared from view inside the metal contraption they would be traveling in. Most everyone watching them leave had answered in kind to Luke's gesture, a fist over their own heart.

The last person to board the ship was Jack, who was taking his dear sweet time with Nojiko. They were whispering back and forth to each other, her locked in his arms with a pout on her face, although from the looks of things he had 'made up' with her.

Their moment finally ended as they started to kiss, only to have it ruined when Luke popped his head out from the rocket thingy and shout, "Hurry the fuċk up!! You can finish this later!!"

With that done, and a final good-bye later, Jack entered the rocket before he closed the door behind him. That was apparently the signal, because as soon as the door was closed, it began floating into the air, then Garp walked over and got a good grip on the thing.

With a mighty throw, the rocket went flying off into the morning sunrise before a black flame started spraying from the back of the rocket, increasing the speed to where it broke the sound barrier and was out of sight after a few seconds.

"Your power and Garp's strength are a pretty good combination." Makino said to Nojiko as they watched the rocket disappear.

"I know. We talked about it after dealing with Smoothie." Nojiko said, completely agreeing with Makino, although her attention was still on the spot where Jack and the others had disappeared.

"I wish he was here!" Nojiko said, sounding a little sad. Makino and Nami were just about to comfort her when she added, "He has all my snacks."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the rocket, Luke and the others sat in silence for over an hour before Smoker took out a few record dials and played a few of his favorite songs.

No one really said anything to each other for hours, but it wasn't an awkward silence. Jack was content just powering the rocket at ridiculous speeds, while the others pretty much slept. With their speed, they made better time then Jack thought, making it into the New World and to Gran Tesoro 3 hours before Sunset.

They were so high up in the sky that no one would be able to see them, but they knew Tesoro was below them because the Vivre Card they had was pulling downwards now.

"We're here!" Jack shouted, making everyone rise to their feet. With a wave of his hand, Luke and the others disappeared inside Jack's dark space, then the rocket disappeared inside Jack's inventory, leaving Jack floating mid-air.

He figured a ball of fire of any color would be easily noticed falling from the sky, so he got a ways away from the ship before he let himself fall back to the ocean.

Once he was about 10 meters above the water, he moved at a speed not many in this world could comprehend, which meant the Transponder Snails that were recording around Gran Tesoro sure as hell couldn't either.

Jack couldn't keep this speed up for long, so he quickly entered the ship and into a random residence before he let himself collapse on a chair.

Quickly getting his barring's, he checked the place with his Haki, then after not finding anyone and seeing there was no gold on the floor or anywhere around him in the room, he let everyone else out of his dark space.

"Alright, we're in the city. Like I said before when we were going over his powers, if you touch the gold in this city, Tesoro can pretty much feel it. And if the gold flakes that are falling from the sky get on you, Tesoro can make it go inside your bodies and control you, so keep watch on that as well." Jack said, still keeping to his chair.

"When do we move out?" Luke asked as he glanced out the window, still seeing the sun in the sky. "From what I've heard, Tesoro does performances every night. I say we wait it out until he's doing a performance, then we get rid of him and the others." Jack answered, getting nods of approval from everyone else.

They had this planned to make the headlines of the paper tomorrow if all things went according to plan, plus if they waited until Tesoro was giving a performance, they wouldn't have to trouble themselves with finding the bastard.

As the hours went on, everyone occupied themselves in their own ways. Jack slept, recovering his energy from using it almost non-stop since they left the East Blue.

Luke stood, staring out the window with a focused gaze that was almost unnerving. For awhile now, his eyes moved slowly, almost as if he was following someone. Which he was.

He had been using his Haki to see what was really happening in Gran Tesoro, and needless to say, but if he didn't want to kill Tesoro before, he sure as fuċk did now!

He could see all of the children who were slaving away, almost pleading with people to buy flowers from them so that maybe one day, they could buy their freedom.

He also watched as Tesoro's underlings took advantage of their positions and beat people while telling them to keep smiling. Originally he was going to try to keep the kill count of the underlings to a minimum, but that didn't seem like it was going to happen now.

It was taking all of his self-control to not rush out their and help them, but if he did, he knew it would ruin everything. The only thing that didn't make him angry was how all of the pirates that came here to rob Tesoro were all waiting in a line, but he could tell from here they stood no chance of victory.

He could have just as easily closed his eyes and stopped using his Haki, but refused to turn a blind eye. He could easily imagine himself in their places had Jack not been there to save him that day, and now he hoped he could do the same for these people.

A few feet away from Luke, Smoker was sitting in a chair with his eyes closed, but it was plain to see for anyone that he wasn't sleeping. The large balls of compressed smoke around him were a dead giveaway.

Preparation was key in any battle, but for Smoker, if he had time to prepare things could be devastating. Right now he was creating spheres of compressed smoke that floated around him, and when he used them, they could fill a large area with smoke that was almost impossible to avoid.

Like Tesoro, he could manipulate people if they had the smoke in their bodies, or he could trap them in a cocoon of smoke and suffocate them.

Nemo was standing against a wall, a shit-eating grin on his face as water danced in the air in front of him. Sea water was the bane to almost every Devil Fruit power, and Tesoro's was no different.

Should the gold be bathed in ocean water, it would render Tesoro's control over it null and void, so he decided to prepare something special for the coming slaughter, and yes, with their group he didn't think their was any other word to describe the confrontation.

Tedi and Lucian were both sitting across from each other on the floor with their arms folded and their eyes closed, but if one looked really close, they could see the space in front of them fluctuating slightly.

What was happening was they were trying to use the energy that allowed them to transform into Sulong to their advantage.

Based on Kureha's studies, they came to the conclusion that the energy that allowed them to transform was all around them, but for some reason they needed the moon as a catalyst to pull it into their bodies.

After having mastered their forms and further study, they could feel the energy around them that was like a second part of them. It was challenging, but with a lot of training and trial runs, they could move it around them like a second form of Haki.

With time, they hoped they might be able to use the energy as a shield around them to block attacks, and when required, to be able to quickly pull it into themselves and transform into Sulong.

As everyone waited, their attention was drawn to screens that started blasting music. Going to the window, everyone watched as the screens began to play a concert, where eventually a tall man dressed in a white suit with gold accents.

"Tesoro..." Luke whispered, his tone grim. "Let's go!" Jack ordered as he opened the window they were looking through.

Without further questioning, everyone followed his lead as they jumped out of the window, then began jumping through the air at insane speeds, although not fast enough to not be glimpsed by a few people, who thought they might be seeing things.

In no time at all they were above the lake of liquid gold that Tesoro used as his stage, then all at once they dropped down from the sky.

As they fell, Jack dropped a pillar of steel that splashed into the water. It was tall enough that the top of it was a good 50 feet above the surface of the golden lake.

Jack and the others all landed smoothly, and for a moment the crowd watching roared with applause, thinking this was all part of the show.

That all ended a few seconds later when the crowd got a good look at who the new people were, causing the thunderous noises to stop almost immediately to a dead silence.

The musicians and dancers who worked for Tesoro stood as though they were statues, and that went double for a certain purple-haired young lady who was standing on the stage.

(A.N. Yes I kept Carina with Tesoro. Think of it as her joining Tesoro just months before! Just anything that keeps your bitching at a minimum.)

(Tesoro POV)

Tesoro was the most relaxed out of everyone here. Had he been anywhere else he might have been worried, but they were in his domain where he reined as the supreme God!!

Looking at the group standing on the steel pillar, although he was surprised they managed to get there without him knowing about it, Tesoro decided to treat them as he would any other VIP.

"GREETINGS ADVENTURERS!! WELCOME TO GRAN TESOR-!!"

That was all Tesoro managed to get out before he was punched in the face and sent flying into the massive staircase behind him.

Where he previously stood, the right hand of Jack Sparrow, The Lightning Demon Luke Straus was now standing with a more whitish grey hair, solid blue eyes, and lightning dancing across his body.

Not being one for theatrics, Luke followed after Tesoro, only instead of a fist, the man now had two swords that were practically buzzing.

"I'm on my way, Sir!!" A voice shouted over the mic in his ear, no doubt belonging to his chief of security Tanaka. Seeing another flash of lightning, Tesoro brought a fist of gold to meet the lightning head on.

It wasn't the best move, cause as soon as the lightning clashed with the gold fist, he felt a burning pain shoot through his body, causing him to spasm uncontrollably.

When the pain lessoned to a degree he could manage, he broke free from his gold fist which also cut the connection with the lightning. Tesoro's hair now stood up into the air, his Rockstar appearance now gone.

The was an indent of Luke's fist on his face, covered slightly by the blood that was pouring from his Broken nose. "You dare?!!" Tesoro shouted as he looked over to the man who was walking slowly towards him.

Looking into his eyes, Tesoro actually felt fear, something he hadn't felt in years. He didn't see a man staring back at him, he saw death.

"I'm her-!!" Just as Tanaka appeared, the wolf-mink appeared behind him and kicked him into the bear-mink. The bear-mink reached out with his left hand, grabbing Tanaka by the throat before he swung his right arm into Tanaka's eye.

Tesoro could hear Tanaka's screaming, but he couldn't afford to divert his attention away from Luke.

"YOUR GOD DAMNED RIGHT I DARE!!" Luke roared in answer of his question, not showing a trace of uncertainty.

Acting as fast as he could, Tesoro made tendrils of gold appear to try and ensnare Luke, but the monster side-stepped them all as if he had rehearsed the movements a thousand times before.

Trying to but some distance between himself and Luke, Tesoro wrapped himself in a golden sphere, then pushed it outwards. Luke would either be caught in the gold or jump back to avoid it, is what he thought.

Reality was never so easy though. Unsure as to how he did it, Luke pierced a hole right through the golden sphere and kicked Tesoro right square in the dɨċk, dropping him to his knees.

Tesoro was pretty sure he heard a crunch, but he couldn't be sure as everything was drowned out by his own screaming. He tried to use his Haki, but every time it was overpowered by Luke's, making him wonder just where this man's strength ended.

The thought of how strong Jack might be crossed his mind, but for now that didn't matter as long as Luke was the one he was dealing with.

Not knowing what to do and running out of options, one couldn't even imagine the slight bit of hope he felt when Baccarat made her appearance.

'With her Luck-Luck Fruit, she should be able to turn the tide!' Tesoro thought, although saying he was happy would be a little far fetched. At the moment, all that was going through his mind was how bad his groin hurt.

Baccarat showing up pulled Luke's attention for a moment, but it was short lived. As soon as she entered the field, Jack Sparrow appeared in front of her and grabbed her by the throat, while simultaneously kicking her in her left kneecap, making her fall into a kneeling position.

*AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!*

Baccarat screamed in agony, not believing the amount of pain she felt from having her leg shattered. "W-W-What t-the hell are you?!" She managed to ask through clenched teeth.

"The luckiest son-of-a-bitch you've ever come across!!" Jack said, making both Tesoro and Baccarat frown. Although Tesoro's frown only lasted a second before a Haki-clad boot struck him in the mouth, sending three of his teeth flying.

"SMILE!!" Luke demanded as he kicked again, slamming Tesoro deeper into the stage. Luke seemed keen to make him feel despair, because as soon as Dice, Tesoro's final executive arrived, Luke let Tesoro watch as the former marine Captain, White-Chase Smoker dominated him.

You couldn't even call it a fight. Dice tried to rush to Tesoro's aid, but Smoker interfered, blocking Dice's path.

A whitish-gray looking sphere shot towards Dice, then expanded to a point where Dice would have to run the opposite way to avoid it, although given the speed it was moving, running away seemed unlikely.

Once the smoke enveloped Dice, he tried to run out of it, but the smoke didn't relent and followed suit. Dice was suffocated before his corpse was finally shown to Tesoro, then Luke slammed another fist into his skull.

His gold and Haki were worthless in front of this man, and when he tried to manipulate the gold that was falling down from the sky around them to control the other members of the Adventurers, it failed Miserably.

The tall man with orange hair, some how made it rain, although it was no ordinary rain. It was ocean water. Tesoro could feel his control over most people on Gran Tesoro slip from his grasp, and there was nothing he could do about it.

(General POV)

Seeing Luke beat the daylights out of Tesoro, Jack turned his attention back to the woman at his feet. She stared up at him with fear filled eyes, but he didn't really care.

There was no doubt in his mind that thousands of people had been right where she was kneeling, pleading with her for help, yet she only laughed.

He didn't get joy out of this or some sense of pride. He did this because he thought it was right, and that no person should be able to control another.

Not wanting to drag this out, Jack pulled his crates of fruit out of his inventory, then without any words or torture, he cut-off her head. He waited until her Fruit appeared, then after pocketing it, he made his way over to Tesoro and put the crates down once again.

"You claim to make people happy and that you are the only one who can grant people joy... yet you trap them... Make them suffer... Tear them apart... Drag them into despair! You're the very definition of scum!!" Jack said, getting wheezing gasps from the broken man.

"The whole city is watching you. They know you won't be surviving today. Even with all of your wealth, you cannot buy your life. You cannot stop what we are doing, not because you didn't have the money, but because you were scum."

As if that was the que, Luke plunged his hand into Tesoro's ċhėst, then pulled the man's heart out a second later. Not satisfied, Luke severed Tesoro's head from his shoulders and pumped more lightning than the corpse could handle, causing it to explode, thus ending the life of the Casino King.

Tanaka's fruit appeared before Tesoro's did, which meant Tedi had decided to finish him off. Done with all that, Jack turned to the camera's that were recording for all of the screens in the city.

"ATTENTION PEOPLE OF GRAN TESORO!! THIS PLACE IS OFFICIALLY UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!" Jack shouted, thinking there would be applause or something, but got silence in return.

'Tough crowd.' He thought before he turned to Luke and the others who were all now gathered around him. "Let's clean up the remaining filth." He said, making them all nod in agreement.

They all shot off in different directions, leaving Jack alone on the stage.

"AS THE NEW OWNER, MY FIRST ORDER IS THIS....!! IF YOU HAVE SOME PLACE TO GO HERE IN THE GRAND LINE, GET THE FUCK OFF THIS SHIP!!"

Apparently that was the signal for pandemonium, cause thousands upon thousands of people began running for their life. Although despite how it looked and sounded, most of them ran away with smiles on their faces, knowing they were finally free.

Knowing he would have to wait until things calmed down, and the people who wanted to stay in the New World to leave, Jack decided he may as well go and shut down the machines that were making all of the gold rain down from the sky.

It was an insane amount of money, and Nami would probably start crying at the sight once she got her fruit. Thinking of Nami, Jack looked to the top of the stage, and still standing there was a frozen Carina.

Walking in her direction, Jack said, "Come with me!" as he walked past her. Not wanting to test her luck, she did as ordered and trailed behind him.

"Where is the machine to stop it from raining gold?" He asked, making Carina point out where to go, still not speaking.

"I have someone close to me, that you remind me of." Jack said, wondering if she knew about Nami being apart of his group. Seeing as though Carina didn't say anything, Jack continued. "Her name is Nami, and for some reason you are the spitting image her."

His words did the trick, as she stopped moving and stared at him intently. "You're close to Nami?" She asked in a whisper, not sure if she believed him, but then again, he didn't have a reason to lie to her.

"She is practically my sister in-law. I just haven't popped the question to Nojiko, Nami's sister." Jack said, getting a 'oh' face in return.

"What are you planning to do with Gran Tesoro?" Carina asked, no longer worrying about Jack's character. "Change the name for starters!" Jack answered instantly.

He figured he could just change it to the 'City of Dreams' or some other crap, but 'Gran Tesoro' didn't really fit with his style. Plus it would be getting a more permanent location later, so something a little more fitting.

"Are you going to run it?" Carina asked. In the movie, she became the new owner after Tesoro was beaten, but she held no grand illusions about taking this ship from THE Jack fuċkɨnġ Sparrow, the terror of the world.

"I'll get someone else to run it for me. I'm too busy." Jack said, already getting an idea as to where she was going with this. 'She's so greedy.' He thought amusedly.

"I'LL DO IT!!" Carina shouted, a little too excited. If he was just going to let some random person run the wealthiest place in the world, it may as well be her.

"You?" Jack asked skeptically, still walking down the hallway. "Yeah me!! I've been here for months! I know how it operates, what it needs, and I can do it! With a backer like you, no one would dare question it!" She said, trying to plead her case.

"It won't operate the same. No slaves, and no cheating people out of their lively hood.... unless they try to cheat me first." Carina quickly agreed to that, and even agreed to run it while it was at it's new permanent residence on the Red Line in the North Blue near the entrance to the East Blue.

She was from the East Blue, so being so close to home was happy thought for her.

"Fine, you can run it. However, 10 percent of whatever is earned is mine, as well as 5 percent to the Adventurers Association, and 5 percent to the W.M.P. As long as the Casino makes a good profit and the staff is all properly paid, you can keep what's left." Jack said, making her eyes practically fall out of their sockets.

"S-Seriously?" She asked incredulously. "I'm rich. Like beyond rich. Anything I make from here on out is just a bonus. Although don't think I won't be checking the books. If you try to cheat me, that will be the end of your position." Jack said, getting a nod from Carina.

Once the gold machines were shut-off and nearly all of Tesoro's subordinates were erased, Jack met up with a crowd of a few thousand staff members.

He gave them the option to stay on with the Casino in their new spot, and after hearing they would be paid pretty good with protection from pirates and other criminals, they were more than happy to go with him.

It also didn't hurt that most of them had nowhere else to go. All of the kids from the movie stayed as well after Jack informed them that they could all go to school for free.

"How are we getting them, and this place back to East Blue without Nojiko?" Smoker eventually asked, making Jack sigh in annoyance. He hadn't thought about that.

He just wanted to store the place inside his inventory and rocket back home, but with all of the people around them, that wouldn't be happening. Being in the darkness for so long would probably shatter them.

"I'll be back in a bit." Jack grumbled as he shot off into the sky at a speed Luke was proud of. He went back to East Blue, and after getting Nojiko, he returned the same way with her inside his void a few hours later. Although the amount of times he stopped to spoil her more than made up for her coming along.

The creatures pulling the ship were no longer needed, and after talking with them, they wanted to leave on their own.

(A.N. Yes, creatures in this world are pretty intelligent, and can understand the human tongue. Some of them anyway.)

With everything now taken care of, the city began floating to East Blue, although given the speed, it would take about a week.

(Marine HQ)

Around a long table, a meeting involving the higher-ups of the marines was just coming to an end.

"So it's settled!! Gather the ships! We leave at dawn!!" Akainu ordered.

For too long they had been on the receiving end of Jack and his bunch, but today they had a plan to strike back.

They would attack, then lure Jack into a trap that even he couldn't prepare for, but rarely would things ever go as planned.

Unfortunately the consequences of what their plan was unforeseen, and would shake the world.
