One Piece Bounty Wars

Chapter 69 - Trap!

(Marine POV)

In Marine HQ, a small elite force of the strongest the marines had to offer was preparing to set sail.

Of course they couldn't send every powerhouse they had, but with two Admirals, the Fleet-Admiral himself going along, 25 Vice-Admirals, and 100 Elite soldiers, they were a not a force to be fuċkėd with.

Their mission was highly classified, resulting in only the few remaining individuals back at base knowing what was going on, and the soldiers aboard the two battle-ships. Just as the morning Sun touched down upon the deck of the ships, a bell rang out signaling for them to depart.

"We'll have everything waiting for your return." A tall muscled man with pointed white hair said to Akainu. "We'll show that bastard!!" Akainu grumbled, letting his anger show as Smoke billowed off of him.

"We've spread the word that you all are setting out to infiltrate the East Blue and to reclaim it from Sparrow, but that doesn't mean he won't know what we're really doing, so be ready for a fight!" The white-haired man said again, a little more edge in his voice at having been ignored by Akainu.

Hearing the man's tone, Akainu snapped his focus back to attention and gave a proper salute to the man as he hurriedly spoke, "We'll return in Victory!! Then we'll show the world the ABSOLUTE JUSTICE of the marines!!"

There wasn't many people who could get a reaction like that out of Akainu, but the Former Fleet-Admiral, now turned World Government Commander-in-Chief Kong could do just that.

According to the World Government hierarchy, his authority is second only to the Five Elders and IM himself. His political powers enable him to revoke any Warlord of the Sea title at any time, as well as being able to declare a Buster Call on any island he deems to be a threat.

While Akainu would be away on mission with Kizaru and Aokiji, Kong would stay here in HQ to prepare for the next phase in the plan. Normally he wouldn't leave the Holy City, but that all changed after Jack and the others burned it to the ground, leaving only a few buildings and the Castle still standing.

The night of the attack, he had been asleep, and it wasn't until Jack and the others had already left with the slaves that he was notified about any intrusion. Now his goal was to take down this new threat at any cost, and if at all possible, to Capture Jack Sparrow and Luke Straus ALIVE so they could face a punishment worse than death.

"Are we really doing this?" A lazy voice asked close by. Turning a deathly glare to his subordinate, Akainu angrily shouted, "Shut the hell up Kuzan! And get on the ship already!!"

Aokiji wasn't really opposed to their plan, but he didn't support it either. To him this whole plan was nuts! It sounded like they were going to piss off someone they were already struggling to deal with, and regardless of how prepared they were, it just didn't seem like it was going to be enough.

Not wanting to argue any further, Aokiji jumped through the air and onto the closest ship, which was a good ways out of the bay already at this point. Kizaru was already on the lead ship, so Akainu was all that was left.

"With the new ships, it should only take a few days to get there, but the problem lies with getting back. If Sparrow and his group intercept you, that could spell the end of this. Use all of your speed to get back here fast, and by that point I should have everything set in place." Kong stated, getting a nod from Akainu.

Although he figured if he ran into Sparrow he could just kill him, but he wisely chose not voice those thoughts. Knowing there was nothing left for them to say, he jumped through the air and onto the ship.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The two ships sailed for 2 days at greater speeds than any other marine ships had before them, all thanks to the great doctor Vegapunk. Utilizing both the wind and the propellers underwater, the ships moved fast enough to reach their destination in record time.

Well, record for them. Jack had his own opinion about the fastest time to anywhere in the world, believing none could match the Pearl!

As the ships sailed closer to the sandy isle, they were happy to have arrived under the cover of nightfall. "I know we talked about what we do when we arrived, but what if this guy isn't here?" Kizaru asked, a hint of a smile on his face.

He had waited until this moment to bring this up, curious to see how Akainu would react. Although it could have had to do with the fact that if their target wasn't here, he would have got to go on a little trip and do little to nothing while testing out some of the newest model of ship. .

There was an odd quiet around everyone as they processed the question. Aokiji though ended the little thought with a shrug of his shoulders. "If he ain't here, we just track him down. Not like it's brain surgery." Aokiji said casually, not worrying about it.

Hearing this, Akainu nodded with serious expression on his face. "We'll bring him to justice, then the rest of them will follow!" The Fleet-Admiral proclaimed, then ordered the ships to get turned around. They would be leaving as soon as possible, so anything they could do to earn time was required.

"Based on Hina's report, this Stain guy is that way." A Vice-Admiral stated as he read through some documents. They had all been briefed on his abilities, which were described as monstrous.

"His Devil Fruit power was described as 'Explosive' but Hina never mentioned how big or far the explosives reach. She did mention he uses his explosions to amplify his hand to hand combat, so he most likely isn't very good at range. I suggest we play on that weakness and hit him from a distance." Another Vice-Admiral chimed in.

There was a round of agreement from the remaining Vice-Admirals, while Aokiji and Kizaru stayed silent. Both of them could fight at either range or close up, so they didn't really care. Akainu on the other hand had his own say in the matter, and his was the only one that really counted at this time.

"Aokiji and I will fight him close up, while Kizaru and the marksmen attack him at range. The rest of you will form a perimeter around his base! I don't want any of them getting out of here alive!" Akainu ordered, getting a collective "YES SIR!!" In response from his soldiers.

With that said, everyone aside from 50 of the Elite soldiers who were staying behind to prepare and guard the ships set out. Thankfully there were no walls or patrols to look out for, and they managed to find the large building in less than 20 minutes.

Using hand signs, everyone spread out around the building in small groups of three. Each Vice-Admiral had two Elite soldiers with them, and with 25 groups they were all close enough to each other to be able to see the group on either side of them.

Kizaru was positioned on top of a building adjacent to the main entrance of the building, looking as bored as ever, while Aokiji and Akainu went through the door. A locked door in One Piece wasn't really much of a deterrent, especially when the person breaking in could literally just melt the locks.

The both of them went inside, keeping as silent as they could be as they crept through the main floor. To their surprise, they found a few people patrolling the place, but they weren't much of a threat to them.

Aokiji just froze them solid, not giving them a chance to alert Stain. One of the people was taken quietly without being frozen, and after they calmed him down, they were told where the rooms were, and where Stain would be located.

The young man was turned to ash before Aokiji could say anything, but now wasn't the time to talk about this kind of thing. Both men made their way up the stairs, silently dealing with anyone they came across, making CP-9 look like armatures in comparison, and they were supposed to be the actual ȧssassins.

In no time they made it to Stain's room, and after looking to each other, they rushed in ready to fight, but to their dismay, the room was empty.

Not deterred though, they began to make their way down the hall to where they knew Stain's office to be. Once they came to the big double doors, they saw a sign that read,

'DO NOT DISTURB OR WILL BE TRAINED!!'

Neither of the two really knew how that was such a deterrence, but didn't really care either way. If only they had been trained by Jack they would know how scary "Training" could actually be, and Stain being who he was, took Jack's methods as his own.

Once again they gave the signal to each other and burst through the door, only this time there was someone here, and he wasn't alone.

A man, unquestionably Stain based on Hina's description, was standing with his pants around his ankles while a very attractive woman was bent over his desk.

Seeing the door burst open, the man and woman halted in their 'activity' to look at whoever dared interrupt them. Once Stain saw who it was that dared enter his office, his eyes narrowed and his breath caught in his throat.

Aokiji could see the recognition in Stain's eyes, knowing exactly who they were, but he took it rather well considering the situation. He watched as the man calmly put his clothes back on, straightened up the woman, then started making out with her.

"Sorry, Jenny. But we're gonna have to put this on hold for awhile. Code-RRFN you see." Stain said plainly, although whatever the hell Code-RRFN was, it was important.

Although it may have sounded important, really it was just a joke between the two of them. Code RRFN was actually short for RETREAT RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!, something Jennifer had joked would probably never happen considering everyone was always retreating from Stain.

Aokiji watched as the woman's eyes widened before snapping to face both him and Akainu. "You're coming with us!!" Akainu said, breaking the little moment the two of them were sharing.

"Didn't you read the sign?" Stain asked as Akainu walked towards him. "It's time for training!" As soon as he uttered those words, Stain shot towards the approaching Akainu, whose upper body was now pure magma.

Whatever Aokiji thought Akainu was going to do, didn't happen. Instead of countering Stain's attack with his own magma, just before collision, Stain detonated and Akainu was caught up in an explosion that sent him flying through the building and outside into the street.

Seeing that, Aokiji put up an ice wall in front of him, and just in time too. Not a second after the wall went up, did his ice shatter and he was rocketed back out through the doorway, although his ice wall had slowed the brunt of the explosion.

He had just gotten his footing under control when a ear piercing alarm went off in the building, no doubt warning the sleeping members of an attack.

Aokiji expected to see the halls of the building be filled with panicked members at any moment, but so far nothing was happening. Not worrying about it at the moment, he rushed back into the office, only now there was just Stain.

The woman was nowhere to be seen, which did make him wonder how the hell that happened, but for now he would worry about their target.

"Hey, can't we talk about this like ȧduŀts? I really don't wanna fight unless I have to!" Aokiji asked, holding his hands up in a placating manner. To his surprise, Stain actually took a seat and gestured for him to sit in the chair opposite himself.

'Not what I expected...' Aokiji thought in confusion. Based off of everything he knew and read about this guy, this was not expected.

"Alright Aokiji... what the fuċk are you and the puppy doing here? Mind you we have less than a minute before he get's back in here." Stain said as he poured himself a drink from a bottle in his desk.

"Can I get one of those?" Aokiji asked, ignoring the question as he looked at the unfamiliar bottle. Stain looked visibly torn between whether or not to give him a drink, but in the end he did so.

(A.N. Give it a few minutes, and it will make sense!)

"This is good stuff!!" Aokiji said in surprised delight after he had taken a sip of the drink. "Thanks. Now back to the question." Stain said, dismissing Aokiji's interest in the drink.

After a few seconds of thinking how to phrase it, he answered, "Well... we are here to take you back to HQ to await some of your friends. Simple as I can put it."

It didn't take a genius to figure out what the plan was. He was going to be used as bait to lure Jack into a trap.

"Ahhh I see. So the place is most likely surrounded then, right?" Stain asked, getting a nod of confirmation from Aokiji as he continued sipping the drink. Just then, Akainu rushed back into the room prepared to attack.

He was however, not prepared to see Aokiji and their target sitting comfortably having a drink together. "Wha-" Akainu tried to ask something, but was interrupted as Stain blew apart the wall behind him and shot outside.

Aokiji downed the rest of his drink in a hurry before he and Akainu rushed after him, but by the time they got outside the carnage was already underway.

Stain was not retreating as they thought. Instead his goal was to rip as many marines apart as he could, while at the same time avoiding the two powerhouses tailing him, three if you counted the bored looking Kizaru who was lazily shooting light beams out of his pointer finger towards Stain, but either missed his target or hit one of his own soldiers.

Aokiji tried to box Stain in with walls of ice, but he either blew them up or jumped right over the walls. Akainu was lobbing blobs of magma shaped like fists towards him, but aside from setting a few buildings on fire, he wasn't doing much.

Trying to catch Stain was proving harder than they thought it would be, and it only got worse when a massive sandstorm hit the city, although Aokiji couldn't help but notice how it was affecting the marines around him and putting the fires on the buildings out.

It was about that time he remembered something from Hina's report about a guy with Crocodile's Devil Fruit, saving her from Stain. Realizing someone was doing this, he tried to find them, but in a country covered in sand, that would prove to be more work than he wanted to do.

"Back to the ships!!" He heard Akainu shout out through the sand, prompting him to head that way himself. As he made his way to the ships, he noticed the bodies surrounding the building, and something troubled him.

Not one of the bodies belonged to the Adventurer's. He knew from questioning the guy inside the place that there were hundreds of people there, so where were they?

Figuring they could just come and check it out after they got Stain, he continued on his way. Getting to the ships, Aokiji made it just in time to be blown onto his ȧss.

*BOOOOOOMMMMM!!*

A massive explosion took over the docks, and the shockwave had taken him by surprise. "KEEP HIM AWAY FROM THE SHIP!!!" He heard Akainu order, followed by a few smaller explosions.

One of their ships was in smithereens while everyone on board was either incinerated into ash or blown apart into a few pieces.

Rushing into the fray, Aokiji shot some Ice spears at Stain's disappearing figure, and one of them managed to get his left shoulder. It was either take the ice spear or a magma fist heading towards his legs, so it was pretty obvious which one he would rather take.

By this time Stain was breathing pretty heavily, with his left arm hanging limply by his side, a bullet in his right ȧss-cheek, and 2 small holes in his hip, compliments of Kizaru.

Although in comparison, the marines had suffered much worse. Out of the 100 Elite soldiers who had tagged along, only the 25 on the still in tact ship were alive. Only 6 of the Vice-Admirals were alive, and of those 6, 3 of them would be forced to retire after this due to their injuries.

Kizaru didn't receive a scratch, while Akainu had a bloody nose and would be walking with a limp for awhile. Aokiji meanwhile, like Kizaru didn't get scratched even once.

"Give up!!" Akainu roared, getting Kane's middle finger in response.

"You gotta stop barking little pup! It's very grating!" Stain said, then began laughing like he had just gone senile. Even though he was seriously injured, Aokiji and the others couldn't afford to let their guards down.

Faster than any of them could react, Stain hurled small handfuls of his own blood towards the people around him, and a few of the marines were hit, although his real target had been the ship.

With a smirk, Stain's blood around him roared to life, killing 2 of the would-be crippled Vice-Admirals, bringing their total to 4, while the side of the ship was seriously damaged, although not enough that it couldn't be sailed.

However 7 of the Elites on board were in critical condition, and 1 man had died on detonation, turning into a red mist.

Stain didn't get the chance to attack again before he was shot through both of his legs by Kizaru, dropping him to his knees.

"I hope you enjoyed your lesson, boys!" Stain said happily as he gasped for air. Aokiji was stumped on how this guy behaved, like going to his death was but an after thought, his smile not wavering under the murderous gazes of the marines around him.

Although the smile vanished when a high pitched scream echoed through the area. "STAIN!!!" The feminine voice screamed in panic. Finally showing a different expression, Stain frantically shouted, "RUN!!"

He hadn't talked with Aokiji because he wanted to, it was so her and the others could get away through the escape tunnels. He originally didn't want to build the tunnels, but Jack had ȧssured him it was needed, and now he understood why.

Kizaru didn't seem like he was going to let that happen though. He vanished from his position, and just as he appeared behind the woman, Aokiji noticed how the sandstorm returned in full intensity, washing over Kizaru and the woman.

A few seconds later when it finally passed, Kizaru was standing alone, and the woman was long gone. "Scary. It's almost like she was a ghost!" Kizaru said in his usual fake scared voice.

'As if he was scared!' Aokiji thought amusedly. Turning back to Stain, Aokiji noticed how Stain one again had a smile, although now it was a shit-eating grin.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!! Fuckin Right!!" The man laughed maniacally. It was at that point he was knocked unconscious before he was cuffed and dragged onto the ship.

"LET'S GO!!" Akainu ordered, clearly pissed off. And why wouldn't he be? He had two of the latest model of ships with 128 of the marines finest soldiers when he set out on this mission. Now he was down to 1 ship, broken at that, and 30 men left, 5 of whom Aokiji didn't think would make it back to HQ.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The trip back to HQ took a bit longer than the trip to Alabasta for obvious reasons. They had to keep watch over the injured, they were now undermanned, and they ship had a decent sized hole in it.

They ended up arriving back in HQ around noon of the third day, and damn was it ever a sight for sore eyes. They were greeted by the sight of the harbor filled with battle-ships, the bay lined with cannons, and thousands upon thousands of soldiers lined up in formation.

There was the Giant squadron, made up of 7 powerful giants who could level armies by themselves, the remaining Vice-Admirals, thousands of soldiers, and at the front of the line, 6 of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

First son of the Sea Jimbe:------ A whale shark fish-man and a powerful master of Fish-Man Karate. His dream is to fulfill his former captain Fisher Tiger's dying wish of coexistence and equality between humans and fish-men. He was a member of the Sun Pirates, eventually becoming its second captain after the death of their original captain, Tiger. He eventually became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea

Boa Hancock:-------"Pirate Empress" Boa Hancock is the captain of the Kuja Pirates and the only female Warlord of the Sea. She is the current empress of Amazon Lily, known as the "Snake Princess", and rules over the Kuja tribe with her two younger Gorgon sisters, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold.

Bartholomew Kuma:-----The former king of the Sorbet Kingdom, and a former officer of the Revolutionary Army with a bounty of 296,000,000. Once feared as an extremely vicious pirate, earning himself the title "Tyrant", he is now going down the route to being a human weapon, developed by Vegapunk.

and the newest members,

Blackbeard:------Marshall D. Teach, now most commonly referred to by his epithet Blackbeard. He started out his pirate career as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates' 2nd division until he quit due to being outed for crimes he had yet to commit, but was planning. Creating a crew of his own, he accepted the Warlord position when it was offered, although no one really knew why he jumped at the position so readily.

(A.N. Yes, he still joined them. Saves me from having to hunt his ȧss down!!)

Edward Weevil:------Edward Weevil, or "Whitebeard Jr.", is a pirate claiming to be the son of Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate, and is the son of Miss Bakkin, the self-proclaimed lover of Newgate.

(A.N. I know he doesn't step in until after Whitebeard dies, but I got some shit planned that involves him, so just roll with it!!)

Capone Bege:------Capone "Gang" Bege is a mafia don-turned-pirate and the captain of the Fire Tank Pirates. He and his crew came from West Blue, where Bege was one of the heads of the Five Families of the West, and due to recent events was given the title of Warlord.

(A.N. I didn't really like Bege in the series, and this gives me a way to kill him off publicly without having to track him down and do some spiel about it.)

The last of the Warlords, Hawkeye Mihawk had been MIA for sometime, and no one knew of his whereabouts. If only they knew he was currently training the people who the Government wanted dead at all costs... it would be hilarious!

"How did things go?" Kong asked from out of nowhere. Akainu wasn't sure when the hell he got onto the ship, but the point was he was here now.

"We succeeded in capturing the target, but he proved to be more of a challenge then we anticipated. We lost a ship and many good men. We killed a few of theirs, but most of them fled, him causing a distraction for them to get away. He is currently in chains down in the cells." Akainu said, getting a nod of understanding from Kong.

"As long as we got him, it was worth it. They gave their lives for JUSTICE!!" Kong said, preaching as though it was a great honor to die for some fat lazy slobs.

"If Sparrow hasn't heard about the attack, we'll make sure he does with tomorrows paper. Make it front page News." Kong added, causing a marine grunt to start taking notes, then ran off somewhere.

Meanwhile over in the crowd of people, there was a certain pirate empress who was currently drawing squiggles in the dirt, muttering about how he could do it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day

(General POV)

It took Jack and the others over a week of flying on the massive Casino island before they made it back to Foosha, and was it ever something.

Jack figured he had gained a gambling addiction and lost it all in one week, having lost over 50 million berries to the damn place. It was a good thing he owned it, otherwise he would have been pissed.

Plus he gained quite a few billion berries in return when he robbed Tesoro's Vault, making him not be able to stop laughing for almost an hour. He also stayed with Nojiko most of the time, spoiling her with whatever she wanted, other than alcohol.

She had begged and pleaded, saying just a little bit was fine, but he stayed firm on the topic. That had costed him big time, but luckily for him the casino had a spa, which he gave to Nojiko.

He put her name on the deed, and made sure the workers were all experts in their fields, making Nojiko forgive him in a heart beat, although she said he still had to join her.

When he finally walked through the door to the guildhall, he was quite happy, and his first thought was to go find Makino and Soran to let them know he was back, but that could wait. For now, he and Nojiko went to Nami's table while looking like they were dying to tell her something.

"What is it?" Nami asked, quirking an eyebrow at the two of them. "Oh, I don't know... just got a surprise for ya." Jack said as a golden fruit appeared in his hand.

It looked like a combination of a gourd and a pineapple. It had a few leaves on top, and expands at the middle. Like all natural Devil Fruits, its surface is covered with swirling patterns. It is about the same size as Jack's palm.

Seeing the fruit, Nami lunged at Jack, her mouth taking the fruit in it's entirety as she swallowed it whole. "OH MY GOD!! That was the creepiest hottest thing I've seen all day!!" Luke's voice rang out from the doorway, having watched the scene.

What followed was Nami using her power for a bit after Jack gave her a few pounds of gold to get accustomed to. They were all having a pretty good time before the door to the guildhall was smashed open and Smoker rushed in with a grim face.

Not saying a word, he held up a Newspaper for the table to see. Seeing the paper, Jack's breath caught in his throat as he slowly took the paper from Smoker.

On the front page was a bloody and beaten Stain, on his knees chained to a stage. The headlines read,

"THE ADVENTURER'S EXECUTION!"
