One Piece: Sea Devil Sanji

Luffy, Zoro and Usopp were surprised to see Sanji suddenly kneeling in front of Nami.

Nami felt perplexed by the sudden confession. A bit of red crept on her cheeks but it vanished as quickly as it appeared. She composed herself and smiled mischiviously "Oh, how very charming of you!"

Sanji stood up, still holding her hand, and smiled back at her "Your beauty brightened up the place, miss. Can I have the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e of knowing your name?"

"Oh my, thank you! I'm Nami"

"A fitting name for a goddess. I am Sanji, a chef in this humble establishment. You can ask me anything and I'll prepare it for you"

"That's very delightful of you Sanji-kun. But I'm afraid I can't afford the food here. It's a tad too expensive for me" Nami batted her eyes at him trying to look as pitiable as possible.

"Don't worry Nami-san. It is naturally on the house for you" she smiled in victory at his response for achieving what she wanted. But he smirked at her and leaned down lifting her chin up towards him "Of course, I wouldn't mind a kiss from you as payment"

She didn't expect him to be this forward and blushed hard not knowing how to react. Sanji smiled inwardly as she stiffened at his touch. Nami is a very intelligent and independent woman. She would take advantage of her looks in a heart beat to swindle men of their possessions. But she is surprisingly innocent and ignorant to the matters between men and women. That's not entirely surprising as she lost her mother figure since young and then spent the next eight years enslaved by Arlong. As such she ended up growing up without someone to educated her on such matters.

Sanji stared passionately at her brown eyes and brought his face closer to her. She felt his hot breath on her and he was moments away from touching her lips.

*Cough**Cough*

Sanji scowled in irritation as someone decided to ruin the moment. He turned to his right "What?"

"Sorry to interrupt but what about us" Usopp spoke "Are we getting food for free too?"

"No you are paying" Sanji released Nami as he felt her get her composure back. He straightened up again and lit a cigarette.

"Hey! This is gender discrimination! I'll sue, you love-crazy cook!" Usopp pointed at him in indignation.

"I don't care you long nose punk!" He blew smoke on Usopp's face.

"Wha!? You want to start something, is that it. I'm not going to go easy on you! Let me tell you something, I am the great captain Usopp, brave warrior of the sea. I command over 8000 men. I'll show you my fearsome power" he jumped behind the swordsman on his right "Now get him for me Zoro, my strongest minion"

Zoro sweat dropped. He decided to ignore him "Not my problem. Get him yourself..."

"Eh?!..uhmm... Oh! Luffy, you get him!" seeing Zoro not helping he turned to the next reliable person.

Luffy was picking his nose, oblivious to the world "What?"

"Teach this love-cook a lesson for me Luffy"

"Nah, I don't wanna"

"B-but Luffy. I am your captain, you have to listen to me"

"No, I am your captain you bastard! Besides, he is my newest crewmate"

"What!?" Nami, Zoro and Usopp was surprised by what Luffy said.

"He is right. I am your new cook" they brought their attention back to Sanji "So I got acquainted with the lovely lady" he winked at Nami who avoided to make eye contact with him, still embarressed from earlier "And I already met the errand-boy wannabe pirate captain, Luffy"

"Oi, I *AM* a pirate!" Luffy sulked crying anime tears.

"Then the long nose shithead who is apparently a big liar or in actuality the real captain..." Usopp shielded himself behing Zoro "So that only leaves leaves the *minion*"

"Hey, take it back! I'm not anyone's minion!!" Zoro yelled at him with shark teeth and put his hand on his swords "I'll cut you down curly-brow"

"You don't have the capacity shitty swordsman. Besides what are you if not a minion? A marimo perhaps?"

"Let's find out if I'm capable or not" he stood up and butted heads with Sanji "And my name is Roronoa Zoro, so you better remember it, crap-cook!"

"Hey brat, are you starting trouble again!" Zeff came yelling and diffused the incoming fight.

"I didn't do anything you damn geezer" Sanji disengaged from Zoro and faced Zeff "I was just introducing myself to my new comrades"

"Oh, so you finally decided on who to join"

"Yup" Sanji introduced Nami and the rest to him.

"Good. It's about time you made up your mind. I was seriously considering kicking you out. You are more trouble than its worth"

"Don't worry I'll be out of your hair in just a couple days so you better allow Luffy to only work for a week instead of a whole year you demanded of him. You don't want me staying for another year do you?" Sanji pointed at Luffy.

"Already done. Now go back to work, there are customers waiting for their orders" he said as headed back to the kitchen.

"Got it" Sanji took a puff of smoke and quickly went to kitchen and returned with a dish filled with freshly diced fruits and a bottle of wine. He placed the dish in front of Nami and filled her cup "Please enjoy this fruit mecedonia and this glass of Grand Marnier as my welcoming gift to the crew"

"Oh, thank you so much! You are so nice!" Nami happily accepted the desser starting eating. He knew she will love it as it was her favorite dish.

"Hey! Isn't it the other way around. You are the one who is just joining, not her!" exclaimed Usupp.

"Doesn't matter. Seeing her beautiful smile is enough for me"

"What about us then! Shouldn't we get the same treatment. This isn't fair!"

"I don't like you" he put his hands in his pockets "Besides, just like you said, you are the ones who should be welcoming me with gifts"

"Ugh, you...! Hey, can't you kick him out Luffy"

"Nah, I like him" Luffy was still picking his nose.

"Anyway, I'll meet you guys later on your ship. I need to inspect its kitchen and see if I would need to add anything in it" he said then walked behind Luffy and smacked him on the head "And you errand-boy! The hell you sitting around for! Go bring the hot towels when the customers come in"

"Yes sir!" replied Luffy as he is dragged away by Sanji "Wait!? I'm a pirate!"

The strawhats sweat dropped at their captain.

Sanji spent his time alternating between working and mingling with the rest of the strawhats. But most of the time he was chasing around Nami and showering her with his attention. Until the morning, two days later,when a giant flagship docked just outside the Baratie.

It was the Dreadnaught Sabre, a very large galleon ship, almost triple the size of the ocean-going restaurant. It had the figurehead of a saber tooth tiger. The flagship was in a total wreck, to the point of being compared to a ghost ship.

"It's Don Krieg's pirate ship!" someone screamed "Why's he here!?"

Mayhem ensued as panic settlet in the main hall "We're doomed!"

Zeff ordered the staff to calm down the customers.

"Talk about a huge ship!" exclaimed Luffy "Gin must've come here to repay his debt to you"

"I doubt that's the case..." replied Sanji while litting a cigarette "Let's see if he heeded my warning"

The door was pushed open revealing two people. Gin was supporting a giant of a man to walk inside. The man was obviously Don Krieg.

"Sorry for intruding... But could I have some water... And food...?" Don Krieg was panting hard between his speach "If it's money you want I got plenty..." he couldn't stand anymore and fell to the ground.

"Please help my captain! He'll die at this rate!" Gin was crying as he sat by his captain and kneeled on the floor "I'm begging you!"

The guest seeing the notorious pirate, known as the strongest in East Blue, this weakened rebreathed a sigh of relief. They turned a blind eye to Gin's pleas. Nobody in his right mind would decide to help a criminal who is famous for his treachery and backstabbing. He wasn't know as Foul Play Krieg with no reason.

Patty, Carne and the rest of the staff surrounded the duo planning on beating them up then turning them to the marines. But a good a kick to Patty's face brought a halt to their intentions. Sanji pushed the people apart from his path and walked to the front. He is holding a giant sack filled with food on one sholder and a steaming plate of a freshmy cooked meal.

He placed the plate in front of Don Krieg "Go on, eat you fill" then set down the sack in front of Gin "Take this and feed the rest of your starving crew"

Don krieg grabbed the plate and started stuffing himself "Thank you!"

"Sanji!" Gin didn't know what to say in front of Sanji's generosity.

People tried to dissuade him from helping them but one look from him shut them up.

"I'm a chef so it's my duty to feed the hungry. I won't turn my back even on a starving demon" he exhaled some smoke and turn back to face Gin "Besides, you have nothing to be afraid of. I'll take care of any issue that may ensue afterwards"

Gin gulped remembering Sanji's earlier threat.

Don krieg finished eating his food and stood up "Ahh, that was great. I feel like I'm back to my normal self again... You were right Gin that was the best food I've ever eaten!"

"I told you captain" Gin stood aside then pointed at Sanji "This is the one I told you about. He is our benefactor, Sanji"

"Oh, thanks young man. Please let me repay you for your kindness" He inserted a hand in one the pockets inside his coat looking for something but he suddenly lunged at Sanji. He unleached all his strength and aimed his armored right forearm for Sanji's neck. Yells of surprise and indignation sounded through the hall. The spectators covered their eyes afraid to see the state Sanji will end into.

"Ahhh! Watch out Sanji!" Yelled Luffy.

A loud boom is heard as the strike landed true. But Sanji didn't budge an inch.

"What're you doing....?" Sanji's nonchalant voice cut through the hall "Are you trying hug me or something? Because, sorry to disappoint you, but I don't swing that way"

"You!!?" Son Krieg stepped back, surprised that his attack did nothing "How are you still standing? That should have crushed your windpipe"

"Captain!" yelled Gin "You promised not to cause any trouble!"

"If you wanted to damage me you would have to try a little harder" Sanji answered after blew smoke on Krieg's face "Gin. You said you have money this time, right? How much you got?"

"Uh...!? Around 13 million Berries last time I checked" he was bewildered by Sanji's abrupt question.

"Allright!" he looked back at Don Krieg "I was planning to be nice and not charge for the meal but since you decided to be a prick about it I changed my mind. That plate you ate is now worth 13 million berries. So pay up"

"Oh, you little shit! Who do you think you are?" Don Krieg growled with a vien popping on his forhead. He pulled a gun and aimed it at Sanji's head "Just because you survived ealier doesn't mean you will now!"

Luffy c.o.c.ked his hand to launch a punch at Krieg's face but Sanji gestured for him to stand down.

"I tried to be civil with you for Gin's sake but you still go and threaten me... You know what I'll give you a final chance. Take the food and leave to never return this place. Or decide to shoot that gun and I end up killing you. Your choice"

"Ha Ha Ha Ha" Krieg c.o.c.ked the gun "Let's see you talk back with you brain matter all over the place"

"Captain, please stop! We got what we came for" Gin pleaded for Krieg to stop "Let's just get back to our ship"

"Shut it!" Krieg backhanded him to the the floor "I'm going to first shoot down this disrespectful twerp. Then I'm going to take this ship for my own. I've been wanting for a new one. Mine's all worn out. And no body is going to stop me" he then immediately pulled the trigger.

He was waiting for the usual blood splatter to happen but instead the bullet hit Sanji's forehead and bounced to ceiling.

"Tekkai(Iron Body)" Sanji muttered quietly 'Quite the useful technique. It could save my life if I emptied my Haki during Battle. I'm glad I picked it up from those training journals I stole from those annoying Cp0 agents chasing me around... I felt some tingling though. It appears I still need to work on it more to perfect it to the same level I used to be in'

"Tsk, how annoying" he rubbed the remaining residue from the bullet that stuck on his forehead and looked at Krieg who has his jaws hitting the floor "That was your last mistake. At least you'll die with a satisfied stomach"

*Rankyaku(Tempest Kick): Diable Knife*

Before anyone could react Sanji span around and sent a fiery air blade from his left leg. The attack was as quick as lightning slicing right through Don krieg's neck.

At first nothing seemed wrong with Don Krieg as he stood still. That is until Sanji gripped his head by his hair and tripped him down. His head was cleanly separated from his neck as the decapitated corpse fell down without spilling a drop of blood. The wound was perfectly cauterized.

"Gin..." he called for the pirate who was still sprawled on the floor but he didn't respond "Hey, Gin!"

"Y,yeah!?" He stuttered after waking up from his stunned state watching his captain easily killed in the blink of an eye.

"I think you should take the food to your remaining crewmates. They won't last long if they don't eat soon"

Gin nodded shakingly and stood up. He looked at his captain, still not believing that he was actually dead. He wanted to take him back with him but decided not to mention it as he saw Sanji juggling his head in his hand. He wordlessly picked the food and turned around to leave.

"Ah! one more thing Gin" Sanji called him one more time "There won't be any hard feelings for the captain killing thing right? Because if there is an issue... It would be quite problematic"

Gin stiffened when he heard his name being called and looked back at Sanji "Uhh.. issue? There is no issue. We as the Don Krieg, no, the Don.. Gin..? Yeah the Don Gin pirates are just grateful for the food" he replied in mute terror by the smile on Sanji's face.

"All is good then. Carry on" Sanji dismissed him.

Gin relieved to be given the permission hurriedly left.

"Wahhh! That was awesome Sanji!" Luffy with stars in his eyes jumped on top Sanji and hugged him tightly trying to squeeze the life out of him "You looked so cool. I'm glad you joined my crew"

"Hey, dumbass, let me go!" Sanji puller him off then kicked him to the wall "Are you trying to suffocate me to death or something!"

"Ahh! Sanji, that hurt!"

Zeff cleared his throat "Well looks like everything returned to order once again. Everyone return to thei stations. We still have guests to feed" he then gestured at the corpse on the floor and looked at Sanji "As for you. Go clean up your mess"

"Already on it" he threw the head in the hands of Carne "See to it that you collect his bounty. If I remember correctly it's about 17 million berries, that should cover for his bill"

"Nice!" said Carne.

"As for you crap cook" he pointed at Patty "Take the body and dump it outside but not before getting his armor. Consider it my farewell gift to you. Use it to defend the restaurant in my absence"

"Oh, thanks... Wait! You are just ditching the cleaning duty to me again aren't you?"

"Of course not, what gave you that idea! Look if you don't want it, I can give it to someone else but you'd be losing on a Golden Wootz Armor with diamond gauntlets"

"Eh!? Really!" he moved quickly to inspect the body then disappeared outside with it.

"What's going on here? Is the love-cook causing trouble again?" came the sound of Zoro who is decending from the spiral stairs in the middle of the hall followed by a trembling Usopp "I saw Don Krieg's flagship docked outside and heard a gunshot coming from below. What happened?"

"Hey, Zoro! Usopp!" yelled Luffy "You missed the action. Sanji was so cool. He finished off Don Krieg with one move. He was like *fwoosh* and *Bam*"

"Oh, and I thought Don Krieg was powerful. He must be pretty weak if mr. pansy here could easily beat him" Zoro was disappointed. He was itching for a good fight with a strong opponent.

"At least I didn't get lost trying to find my way down some stairs" Sanji quibbed back as he earlier sensed him going in circles until Usopp found him and led him down.

"You!!" seethed Zoro and grmbled quietly "It's not my fault that this restaurant just keeps changing its layout"

Regaining his courage after finding out Don Krieg is no longer a threat, Usopp puffed his c.h.e.s.t and chimed in "I could have easily done it too! I once fought a Giant with my b.a.r.e hands and made him submit to me after I put him in a headlock. It was one of my greatest battles!"

"Really! You are so cool Usopp!" said Luffy with more stars in his eyes genuinely believeing him.

While exchanging banter with Luffy and the rest he detected a strong presence aproaching the Baratie. He easily identified him as Dracule Mihawk riding on his small boal. Sanji looked at Zoro discretely contemplating whether to prevent him from meeting the wandering Shichibukai or not, so he won't suffer the humiliating defeat that's waiting for him which gave him injuries that almost ended his life.

He decided against it, though. It's a momentous moment for the swordsman. It cemented his drive to grow stronger in the future so he would never suffer defeated again. He may suffer now but it would help him grow stronger in the future.

With that in mind he braced himself as the ocean churned almost capsizing the restaurant when Dracule Mihawk cut the giant galleon of the now newly formed Don Gin pirates.

Panicked screams sounded from inside and outside the restaurant.

Luffy and the rest run outside for the Going Merry worried about Nami and the ship's safety. Sanji followed behind them not the least concerned. He smiled, sure she is outside the danger zone. That's of course because he sensed her run away with the Going Merry earlier when she got the chance.

By the time the violent waves stopped they finally reached where the Going Merry used to be docked and found two men who are about to drown. They are Yosaku and Johnny, the former bounty hunting partners of Zoro before he joined Luffy.

"Bro!!" "Brother Zroro, help!!!" they started yelling for help.

Luffy stretched his arms and pulled them to safety "Yosaku! Johnny! Are you alright?"

Usopp looked around frantically "The ship! Where's the ship! What happened to Nami!?"

"About that... We're sorry bro...! She's not here anymore" cried Yosaku follower by Johnny "Sister Nami...! She pushed us off in the water... Took our treasure and run away with the ship!"

"WHAT!?"

"Wait! I can still see our ship" said Luffy looking to the distance then turned to the duo "Where is your boat?"

"It should still be docked where we left it"

"Good" Luffy turned about to order Zoro and Usopp to follow after Nami but Sanji cut him off.

"Luffy, leave it to me. I'll go after her" Sanji came out carrying a backpack on his back "you can follow after me after you complete working the week you promised to the old man"

"Oh, Sanji...! Alright, if that's what you want"

"Say goodbye for me to the shitty geezer will ya" Sanji nodded and jumped on the railing "See you in a few days"

Sanji dived into the ocean and started swimming after the Going Merry.

"Hey, you idiot! You forgot to take the boat!"

"No need. I'am faster on my own" He yelled back and disappeared from view after using Blue Walk.

Not long later, Sanji made it near the Going Merry. He jumped from the water and landed silently onboard. He used a weak version of his Diable fire on his whole body as he quickly dried his clothes.

He was going to use his Observation Haki to look for Nami but he didn't need to as he saw her standing upfront near the railing, adjacent to the sheep figurehead.

He saw her trembling while tears cascading down her cheeks. He heard her whispering to her self between choked sobs "They were good people *sob* I wonder if they'll count me as their friend *sob* The next time we meet *sob* I wonder if we can even meet again...? *sob* I want to hurry up and become free, Bellmere...!"

Sanji frowned seeing her in such a pitiful state and dropped his backpack down. He then approached her and hugged her from behind.
