One Piece: The Power System

Author Note: I know you are surprised and are questioning why the Paper-paper Fruit is Logia. The answer is because of the game, the game is a better resource to draw from rather than some Fandom place since it actually appeared in a game. It isn't canon but it was in Game of all places as a logia type. The game is a 2002 Onepiece game for game boy advance. The main antagonist had the fruit and it was classified as logia, I won't go against the game for a fandom, sorry.

The Marines took aim and fired upon the beast but their bullets were rendered ineffective. The beast was big enough to fit a small ship into its mouth, this was definitely a Sea King! Rein could only imagine the rewards for killing it. However, sea kings were far stronger than him but if he was able to kill one with his weak strength, then the points would be quite high due to his weak strength compared to killing a powerful being. The bigger the gap in strength the enemy was compared to him, the bigger the reward would be. At least if it was much stronger than him.

"So you want to gain experience by finishing it off, huh?" Garp looked at Rein seriously and asked.

"Yep, this is to strengthen my resolve and mind when facing such scary opponents." Of course, Rein was lying, he just wanted to use his grandpa's strength to gain easy points! But why not? How could he skip out on such a reward?

"Haha, alright, I'll beat it unconscious and you can finish it off with that toothpick of yours." Garp felt like Rein wouldn't even be able to penetrate the skin of this thing, anyway. He was ready to see Rein's embarrassed expression when the time came, oh, how funny would that be?

The Sea King dashed through the water towards the ship, it was ready to topple this ship into the sea. "This thing is definitely a seaking, our bullets can't even penetrate its skin or belly at that which should be one of its weak points!" One of the marine soldiers said in horror, these things could destroy islands if they were big enough, it was truly a disaster grade beast!

Just as the beast was about to tackle the ship and sink it, Garp jumped through the air and landed on its head. "Wow there beast, I won't kill you but I'll have to hurt you a bit, haha!" The SeaKing roared as it squirmed about, it then decided dive into the sea afterward.

"What happened?!" A marine soldier didn't catch the actions of Garp and had backed away to brace himself for the attack of the sea king!

"The beast was about to attack until Garp jumped on its back." This marine soldier had been watching the whole time unmoved. He was extremely confident in his Vice Admiral's ability to deal with a Seaking.

"Goodness, Garp is done for, how are we going to explain this to HQ!?" One of the marine soldiers began to panic. Honestly, Rein wanted to tell this man to shut the hell up. The guy was clearly a rookie who didn't know much about Garp.

Suddenly, bubbles could be seen on the surface of the water, then a huge pillar of water shot out like a geyser. The Sea King had returned to the surface but it was floating on top of the water with its eyes wide open. The beast had a huge knot on its head and had fainted from some sort of attack to the head.

"Haha, it couldn't even last from one soft punch!" Garp climbed on top of the huge beast's head and laughed victoriously. All the marine soldiers sighed in relief but there were some that already knew that this was the outcome.

"Boy, come and finish it off if you have the ability to!" Garp stopped laughing and smirked at Rein who was still in the same spot watching the whole time. The marines looked over in the direction that Garp was looking and talking towards.

"Hmm, what's this, oh, it's just a village kid coming here to watch." The marine captain looked closely at Rein's face. "This kid doesn't look remotely scared, he must be shocked to the point where he can't move or process what is going on!" The marine captain did care, he immediately bashed Rein on the spot.

"Yeah, the kid must have pissed and shit himself and is too afraid to move, haha!" The Other crew members immediately added fuel to the flame. Black lines appeared on Rein's forehead. Were these people so bored that they could only bash a little kid who was watching from the side, how sad!

Rein ignored these clowns who were scared not too long ago and jumped into the sea. He swam toward Garp and crawled onto the huge sea king's head.

"What the heck, is this kid not afraid of death, why would he get so close to that huge beast?" The marine soldier shook his head. Maybe this kid was like a newborn calf and wasn't afraid of the lion as they put it.

"Go for it, Kid." Garp made sure to call Rein "kid" instead of his actual grandson, it seemed he didn't want to let anyone know Rein's true identity, which was quite surprising. But who knows, the marines might accept him or deem him as an ultimate threat with him being Monkey D. Dragon's son and all.

Rein nodded and raised his sword, he used all of his might to penetrate through the sea king's eyeball and into its brain!" Haha, Smart kid, its eyes are the best bet to take it down, if anything, to take just about anything down really!" Garp completely forgot about the eyes and commended Rein on his choice. However, the beast didn't die right away, so he kept stabbing it for about 60 more times until it finally kicked the bucket.

"Damn! This kid is crazy!" The marines were shocked seeing this ruthless and fearless Kid constantly stabbing the Sea King!

"What in the world, the Sword Menace?" Rein looked at the title description immediately.

[The Sword Menace: When carrying a sword, your speed will increase by three percent, your damage force will also increase by three percent! The title can be stacked twice as long as you're in combat!]

"Why do I feel offended by this title?" Rein shook his head and looked at his other rewards, his gramps knocked it out in one hit but it took him around 50 to 60 blows to the eye to kill it. Rein sighed, he was really weak indeed.

The rewards were very generous, this was definitely so for the number of system points he received. Rein was sure he wouldn't gain such a large amount of points for a while since the creatures on this island were so weak. The large tiger on this island would at best give him about 6,000 System points and he wouldn't be able to beat it without Erica's help.

"Wow, kid, I didn't know you had it in you!" Garp had watched Rein's frenzy with complete surprise, even though Luffy and Rein looked similar, their way of handling things was completely different.

"Sorry, Mr. marine guy, I will return to my little village now and not disturb you big cool marine bros." Reing looked at all the marines with an innocent face and swam back to shore.

Kid, who are you fooling!

Don't play nice, you just stabbed the hell out of that thing without batting an eye!

Yep, this kid is crazy, will he be psycho when he gets older!?

The marines were silent with complaint but said nothing in the end. Garp didn't say any more to Rein and let him go. "Sigh, what am I going to do with those three clowns when they get older?" Garp sighed, he knew the three of them didn't want to be marines.

Author Note: He is referring to Ace, Rein, and Luffy, just saying.

About ten minutes later, Rein appeared in the mountains and was on his way back to Dadan's house. Rein wasn't in a rush and found somewhere to sit before returning. He sat next to a tree and looked over his gains.

The Paper-Paper Fruit showed on the virtual 3D interface. Rein was glad that the system had a feature that would allow you to see a tutorial on what a devil fruit could do. This was one of the really handy things the system had to offer.

"Hmm, I wonder what a paper fruit could even do, it's just paper, it isn't something I would dare eat for an ability." Rein gave his 2 cents on what he thought about this fruit and his reason made sense. The fruit was paper, it had a lot of weaknesses but it was still quite strong as well.

As for weaknesses, Fire could burn it, Wind could blow it away, Water could render the intangibility of this fruit invalid, Mud/swamp could also render the intangibility invalid, and poison like the Venom-Venom Fruit could burn through it like fire despite it being a Paramecia Class type. So the best option was to not fight another Logia and avoid getting hit by water as crocodile did in his battle with Luffy.

However, it was quite good as well. The fruit could allow someone to form paper wings and fly at will, it would be better to fly in a non-windy place though. The fruit could also allow you to camouflage yourself in any environment, you could also create paper puppets and have them fight for you and put bombs in them to commit a suicidal attack! The fruit could form sharp weapons that could cut through people like paper, no pun intended. If anything, this ability was similar to a certain naruto series character.

"This is one of those fruits that I find hard to sell but want to because I'm not going to use it myself." Rein was feeling torn between selling it or not, the fruit would sell decently on the system with its abilities and even more so with the fact that it is a Logia Class Fruit.

As for the Body fitness that he gained, it would allow him to train longer and build muscle over time. Rein was going to invest his attribute points into this since this would be the foundation that would truly strengthen him.

Rein only needed one Zoan and one Logia for himself but Paramecia Class fruits were a different story. He wouldn't hold back on how many of those he would buy when the time came. Rein looked at his status before deciding to leave.

Rein decided to dump all of his Attribute Points into Body Fitness. "Ah yes, this feels quite soothing and comfortable other than when I put Skill Points into abilities." A warm feeling ran throughout Rein's body for sixty seconds before stopping. Surely, all his stats were indeed boosted by 5 because of his achievement.

After putting All Attribute Points into body fitness, he felt stronger than ever. This fortunate encounter with that Sea King was great. "It isn't the best feeling leeching off of someone else strength but if it'll help me towards my goal then a few tricks here and there won't hurt." Rein knew he used his grandfather to beat the beast, but so what? It was free points, if he could use others to his advantage, then so be it. Rein shrugged thinking no more about it and walked up the mountain toward Dadan's house.

Rein saw the house but walked over the secluded forest area and found that no one was there. "They must have gone back to the house after they were done eating." Rein turned around and walked back to Dadan's house, which was about a minute away.

Rein opened the door and saw a bunch of bandits eating a pile of meat! People were being kicked out of the way and attacked for daring to touch the meat! It was a war for food in here, ace was also present. Erica sat in the corner with a weird smile on her face, she had never seen such a wild group of people before, even in her poor village!

"What do you think you're doing, that's my meat!" A bandit was kicked by another bandit and was sent flying. Ace had a chicken leg in each of his hands, often switching between the two to take a bite often. Ace still wasn't satisfied as he would attack other bandits to take what they were trying to grab! Luffy was also present and would stuff multiple pieces of meat in his mouth. He had the advantage with the fact that he could stretch and get in on the action with ease!

"What in the actual hell is this!?" Rein was stupified seeing everyone act like animals, was this a zoo?! Ace made a mistake and jumped through the air and bit down on Dadan's head as he mistook it for meat!

AHHH!

Moments later, everything calmed down as everyone laid flat on the ground. Luffy had fallen asleep with a stomach similar to a balloon, no one had noticed that Rein had come in except Erica, who was sitting in the corner watching the events unfold.

"R-Rein, you're back." Erica had a weird expression on her face, it was like she had looked into the deadlights and survived what she had seen.

Rein was silent and speechless, the bandits had all fallen asleep, including Dadan and Ace. "Yo, Erica, you wanna go do body exercises?" Rein also wanted to possibly create his own clubhouse or something. He would only come here to take a shower or maybe eat if he had to, but sleeping here, Nah, not happening if he could avoid it.

"Yes, I need to work on my arms more since they are so weak compared to anything else." Rein and Erica left the house for a quick workout. If possible, Rein would have to change her Devil Fruit ability in the future for a stronger one, but for now, she'll have to work with this Swamp Fruit.
