One Piece: The Power System

The gang had their pipes ready with beads of sweat coming from their foreheads. No one said anything as the group stared at the tiger with caution, the tiger stared back and only the wind could be heard. The snow on a tree slowly dropped to the ground and as soon as it hit the ground, the tiger made its move!

"Now! Saba, Ace, and Luffy hit it with your pipes once Erica binds it! Once it's close enough she will bind with her power!" Rein already told them his plan on their way here, he wanted to give it the killing blow since he was the one with a real weapon in his hand, a sword. Erica had a spear but only used it when hunting weak prey. She already told Rein that she preferred her fist rather than weapons, which was funny coming from the previous Baby 5!

Ace, Luffy, and Sabo spread out the minute they heard Rein. Confusion could be seen on the tiger's face for a brief moment seeing his prey move out in different directions. However, that was only for a brief moment, it soon honed in the Rein, who wasn't moving and smelled of fish.

As soon as the Giant Tiger was in range, it lunged through the air towards Rein.

"Now, Erica!" Rein called out

Erica formed a muddy wall in front of Rein, it would act like a sticky wall for the tiger. The tiger was easily caught, but its size was no joke.

"Ugh, the more you struggle, the more you'll sink!" Tiger managed to break away and lift Erica off the ground but this didn't matter, her swamp was already upon the tiger. Ace, Sabo, and Luffy were stunned seeing the tiger struggle, they were in a daze. This was the king on this island in the land of the beast here and it was being suppressed.

"Ace, Luffy, let's attack its legs to make things easier for Erica!" Sabo snapped out his daze early and alerted Ace and Luffy. Their faces immediately turned serious, Ace charge while Luffy stretched to attack the tiger's legs with all his might.

"Luffy, if you can, trip it with your limbs." Rein wanted to stop it from moving since it was going wild, it was knocking down trees and causing unnecessary destruction.

"Hehe, Gomu Gomu no Trip!" Luffy used both his limbs around the beast's legs. Ace and Sabo took this chance to hit it with everything they had towards its side. They used their pipes and slammed them towards its rib cage with the hardest swing they could muster. Sure enough, this was effective and with Luffy's stretchy limbs, the beast came crashing down.

"Erica, suck it up and faint it!" Rein saw victory and commanded Erica to faint the beast with her swamp. Erica did just that and absorbed the beast after it had fallen down. The beast still struggled but to no avail as it was absorbed.

Luffy retrieved his arm as they smacked in the face and sent him flying somewhere.

"Ahaha, It worked, the king of the mountain has been brought down!" Ace was all smiles seeing the defeat of the Tiger Lord.

"Amazing, her ability is too strong, what is that power?" Sabo always wondered how someone her age could have gained such an ability but he learned from Luffy that she ate a devil fruit. How lucky he thought, where could he find an ability like that?

Erica sat in place, it was unknown to anyone what she was doing.

"Erica, what's wrong?" Rein asked because she was sitting silently in the snow without a word.

"Ah, nothing, just waiting for it to faint, I'm keeping an eye on it while it's in my body struggling for oxygen." Ace, Sabo and even Rein's blood ran cold when they heard her plainly say such a statement, it was innocent but cruel words.

"Ahem, well, as they say, there is no I in team, hehe!" Sabo tried to lower the tension. Soon, Luffy came out of the forest where he smacked himself flying in.

"Eh, where did the Tiger go?" Luffy looked around but didn't see it. "Ah! You guys ate all of its delicious meat without me, wahaha!" Luffy started to cry with waterfall tears coming out of his eyes.

Bunk!

"You idiot, we didn't eat it that fast, how is that even possible!? Erica is fainting the beast so we can kill it and eat its meat!" Ace knocked Luffy over the head and said.

"Oh, hahaha!" Luffy stopped crying immediately and started laughing

"So fast!" Rein and Sabo's mouth twitched seeing Luffy instantly stop crying but then they saw Erica stand up.

"I'm about to release it right now, it has fainted from no air!" Everyone stepped back as Erica released the tiger. The tiger slammed into the snow with no pupils in its eyes, it had lost consciousness from no oxygen.

"Good, I will kill it now!" Rein jumped onto the tiger and as he did with the Sea King, he targeted the eyes. Rein attacked its eye five times before the tiger stopped breathing, it had finally died under Rein's sword.

"Whoa, it's finally dead, we can cook it up and eat it!" Luffy was so excited seeing that the tiger was going to be their dinner. This thing would last them for maybe five days or so, but Rein had his doubts due to these pigs all around him.

"Okay Erica, you carry it in your body, we'll be heading back to the treehouse to cook some of it up to eat." Hearing what Rein said, they all couldn't agree more. She was the star in this battle and took the beast down. They were going to give Erica first dibs on the meat for her great achievement in this battle.

Rein didn't care that he didn't really do anything, he got the rewards without making a move. The group began to head back and across the bridge they had crossed to get there. Luffy started to jump up and down on the bridge like it was something someone should play on. Rein immediately grabbed Luffy to stop him. There was a river down below and no one wanted to fall in that fast current.

After some unknown amount of time, they arrived back at their treehouse. Before eating the tiger, they warmed up first. They relaxed for thirty minutes talking and warming up before going back outside to cook some of the tiger.

Honestly, a fire ability would be good in this type of weather since you wouldn't feel the cold. Erica cut up some of the Tiger while Ace and Luffy watched closely with drooling expressions. Rein and Sabo took the time to talk with one another at this time.

"Sabo, you know tomorrow or so, we'll have to finish off the Blue Jam Pirates. It's best to get them now before they get you." Rein wasn't playing around, he wanted everything from it, so he wanted to go after the Blue Jam Pirates right after.

Sabo nodded "I think this is a good idea, I don't want to have anything to do with my parents so they can forget about trying to catch me. Getting rid of the Blue Jam pirates can be a warning to them to stop trying." Sabo couldn't agree more, this could serve as a warning, at least he hoped that it would, but the chances were quite low as a noble wouldn't easily be intimidated.

"Hehe, there will come a time when these nobles will be no more. That Stelly you talked about can be the first victim for a later date." Rein was blunt and threatened, he was going to kill this Stelly if he got the chance, if he remembered correctly he would be the king of Gao kingdom in the future.

Sabo's eyebrow knitted a bit, he didn't like Stelly but maybe that was going a little too far. Rein noticed his expression toward what he said. "Relax, he isn't really worth killing but the one that will attack you will be." Rein gave a knowing smile and looked towards where Ace, Luffy, and Erica were. She was just about finished.

Sabo was confused as to what he was talking about but didn't mind it much since Rein liked to talk in puzzles a lot. The tiger was something that needed to be cooked thoroughly so it took a bit longer than usual.

Rein took this time to check out that new item he had received, the Bronze Lottery Token.

[(Bronze) Lottery Token- This token can be used in the system lottery machine for a random item ranging from Weapons, Techniques, Devil Fruits, Ship Utility, Rare Tools, and Specialist Cards. The lower the grade of the token, the lower the chances of getting something rare. This is completely opposite for a high grade token. User has a low chance of getting two items from the Slot machine.

"So if I'm fortunate enough, I can get two things instead of one." Rein brought up the system and went straight to the slot machine to insert the token.

The lever was pulled and like a slot machine, it began to change too many different things he would get. Weapons, Techniques, Devil Fruits, Ship Utility, Rare Tools, and Specialist Cards were the things that appeared.

"Come on, let it be the Specialist cards!" The specialist cards were the rarest. They had random abilities for them, for example, a specialist card may be able to create you an island or base if the card had the ability island creation card or base creation card, etc. Rein wanted to create an island so he could use this card in the New World to make his own turf. He wanted to make money and invite other people to his island to live. He wanted to be one of the 4 emperors when the time came but that was for much later.

Rein didn't need a base, he didn't need an organization but he would still need to have some territory in the New World if he wanted to remotely qualify as an emperor in the future.

Soon, the Lottery Token stopped on the Devil Fruits Title!

"Oh, what will it be?" Rein smiled

Ding!

"WHAT THE F.U.C.K!!!" For the first time in forever, Rein cursed seeing the trash fruit he had won. Ace and company jumped and looked at Rein who had a dark expression on.

"Eh, did something happen, Rein?" Ace looked back and asked. He usually saw Rein calm and relaxed as he usually never got mad no matter what. Everyone was looking at him with concern since this was the first time they saw him like this.

"Oh, it's nothing, I was thinking about the time we were in Goa, we could have robbed more stores, hehe!" Rein laughed it off but they believed it, there were indeed more stores that they could have robbed but didn't do so.

"Next time we visit Goa, we'll clean up real good!" Ace's eye flashed and turned back to Erica who was cooking on a grill. Luffy did the same as well and looked before Ace did once he saw that there was nothing wrong. However, Sabo was different, he believed it was more to it than what Rein had said.

Rein could only sigh seeing the yellow and orange devil fruit, what a joke!

Soon, the food was finally done, it was well seasoned and everything. She still had some ways to go but it was still good nonetheless. After that, everyone just sparred for a bit and went to bed after that to rest to take down the Blue Jam Pirates the next day.
