One Punch Man : Valir's Chronicle

The house that we're living in is the house that Grandpa left behind, with the house and money my grandma managed to take care of mother by herself. And something that my grandma always told my mother is to never resent my Grandpa for leaving her behind, "abandoning" her. But until this day no one knows where my grandpa is.

Sadly my grandma died when i was 15, 2 years ago, but before she died, she left me with a necklace that she had always wore, saying that it's grandpa's first gift for her and wanted me to keep it, for when i found my loved one. I don't really know why she gave this to me but the necklace itself looks really expensive and elegant with it's red and gold color so i wore it anyway and i liked it.

Back to the story, Grandpa told Caecil about us when he died, yeah he died 5 days ago, it was a pretty shocking news for my mother, i can see some tears welled up in her eyes, even if she never remembers her father, the news of him dying is emotional enough to make her cry.

She cried for a while and asked Caecil to continue the story. In his deathbed, grandpa told everything before his marriage with Caecil's mother, who had already passed away when Caecil is 25 years old and well, the existence of my mother.

He told Caecil to find mother and give this box to whoever posses the special necklace. Yup the necklace that i'm currently wearing.

Caecil left the room and took a big box that's decorated with golden dragon marks all over it, making it look really domineering but elegant, in the middle of the box holds a hole shaped exactly like the necklace that I'm currently wearing.

I took out my necklace making everyone's eyes gaze towards me, seeing the necklace and hole's similar shape, all of us pretty much knew what i need to do with the necklace.

Caecil gave the box to me with eyes that says "Put it In" [1], I followed her request and puts it in, when i put it in, the box trembles a little in my hand, then we heard an unlocking lock sound, and the box opened itself.

When the box opened itself, something ethereal, something dark, something SO fast that no one can see it flew into Valir's c.h.e.s.t area.

Everyone gathers around me trying to see what's inside the box only to be disappointed, nothing, literally nothing is in there.

"Why is there nothing in here? have you opened the box Caecil?" My mom asked Caecil

"No the box is impossible to be opened without the key, I've tried several times but nothing worked, it should not have contained nothing, when father gave this to me, he have a serious expression on his face!" Caecil told us....

We tried searching for something or some hidden mechanics but nothing...

After trying to search for 8 minutes we are positive that there really is nothing in it, this mystery is something we can't solve, no clue is given no hints can be used.

"We can't do anything to it right now, so Valir, you should keep the box since you have the key, lets just put this to the back of our mind." Caecil suggested and we all agreed. I closed the box and put in on a table.

After that incident, Caecil told us everything she knows about grandpa.

Grandpa's name is Logan, he never told Caecil his line of work so she doesn't know what he does but one thing for sure is that he's rich as f*ck. This mansion is a gift from him, right a gift from him for Caecil when she was 17 years old....

Grandpa had only married once since he was never married to my grandma and have 2 daughters, my mom and Caecil.

Almost the same as my mother, Caecil didn't see much of grandpa, he only come and visit her once in a while and each time it's only for around 3 hours or so, not even a day..

When she to told us that, i have so many questions in my mind!

Why do you have so little time for your loved ones

Why do you even bother getting married and having kids if you didn't even have time for them

Why do you left my grandma and find another women just to do almost the same thing to her

Why can't you just bring my grandma with you

and so much more

I can't think straight anymore, my grandpa is a really undependable man!

I don't even care about him anymore, i don't want to hear his story anymore so i just left the room saying i need to go to the toilet, the maid follows me, guiding me to the bathroom.

I went in and do my thing when i heard the sound of a door opening, the main door opens, I'm guessing the one who came in is Caecil's daughter, faster than what Caecil imagined.

I flushed and came out of the bathroom when suddenly i saw her...

No...it can't be!
