Only I'm Need

Chapter 7 - [Martial Arts]

After putting the crying Zero Two to sleep, I myself couldn't help but be shocked at myself in fact.

It was really strange how I quickly I grew accustomed to Zero Two. Maybe after a week or so in the forest alone has made me lonely.

But I knew that wasn't it. I wasn't the type of person to get lonely and give a shit.

It wasn't out of pity or I was sympathetic to her situation I know that for sure. In my past life, I practically engraved that if you think your situation is bad, then there are millions and trillions of others who have it 10x worse then you do.

I made sure I knew that really well in my past life.

Also, people don't need pity or sympathy in this kind of situation.

They need help.

I also knew it wasn't romantic in any sense as both my mindset and brain/body doesn't really have the capabilities to love currently.

I think.

I also just realized that having the grenades was kinda pointless because of 1. Zero Two was part Grimm so they wouldn't attack her, I think, until IF she was able to get Aura then they won't attack her at all and 2. My emotions don't spike at ALL. They only fluctuate lowly.

Although I guess the grenades do help as a defense. Although it is a defense it is also a beacon as the drones practically glow bright orange.

Anyways, enough of thinking. Since Zero Two was taking up my main bed area, I just grabbed a few of my extra animal skins and two blankets and moved to a side and slept.

=-= Morning =-=

After several times of me waking up and then falling asleep again, I was finally able to wake up.

Waking up, I noticed that Zero Two was still sleeping with her picture book in her hands.

After putting my 'bed' away, I got out of the tree and using the pipe system to wash my face.

I then went through my usual routine of hunting, an hour or so of body training.

And then usually after that, I would always find something to do.

In this case, it would be to finish the pipe system.

Since I didn't have steel or any metal, I had to do with wood and occasionally check up on the pipes to see if any moss has started to grow on it.

Which I doubt would as, every weekend, I would heat temper the wood a bit to remove any moisture.

I also realized that the water output was too little and I wasn't going to redo the whole piping, so I walked/ran all the way to the river.

Which takes around 10 minutes of walking and around 3 or so minutes of running.

When arriving at the river and checking on the pipes, I realized that I never changed the part that receives the water last week.

[AN: Changes the part that touches river water constantly every week so moss won't affect water]

So after dismantling it, I went and made another head with a bigger radius so water can get through easier.

After spending an hour or so of making it, I went back to the tree following the Aura imprint I left on Zero Two.

I also noticed that she was still asleep so I tried to be silent.

Cause I'm considerate like that. I think.

Moving on I ate my share of breakfast and made extra portions depending on how much Zero Two ate yesterday.

After she was awake, I helped her clean up with the newly improved pipe system.

I then gave her some breakfast, and while she ate, I went about and touched up the pipe system.

After eating, I worked with her on her speech since it seemed to be developing nicely.

Afterward, I started to teach her the basics of Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu.

In the early stages of my life, I learned Tae Kwon Do which focuses on leg technique, and when I got older and I had more free time from school, so I started to learn Kung Fu which focuses on hand technique. It was also a soft style which Tae Kwon Do focuses on hardstyle.

The two techniques helped balance each other out nicely.

It also took me a year or two, but I was able to combine the two styles.

My plan for teaching Zero Two, was to give her the basic and body training and then if she wanted to, she could either learn her own technique or use mine. And if she wanted to she could learn Bo-staff. I knew other weapons, but I wasn't that confident in using them.

And although there was a rough start, as time and time I could tell that Zero Two was a fast learner.

All it took was using the right examples and telling the right tips and she picked it up fast.

Although, something I noticed was that she had a SHIT ton of power and speed.

She just didn't know how to use it.

And a combo of Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu would be ABSOLUTELY great with her. She also started to learn Bo-staff after her basics in the two martial arts were well above average in a regular martial art school.

And that's how the few weeks went.

But it was only until a week or two later, that I started to notice a certain raven bird, watching us.

Chapter a bit short, but I'm really busy with finals coming next week. Although when summer comes I will go back to a chapter a day.

Hopefully.
