CHANGYE city is a dual-layered city. Above its lower city's high-rising towers is a platform held together by eight massive pillars. The city itself is shaped like a Bagua and is choke-full of tenements, crowded apartments, and unlisted buildings. Surrounded by fortified walls deterring monsters and cryptids roaming the fogged outskirts of the City. The city of Changye, although one of the worst places to live, is still one of the most fortified city-states of the era, allowing an individual to freely earn money and survive.

But after the Shanghai Risk Event, a horrifying disaster where a reality warper tore through Eurasia. Causing anomalous events and creatures to rapidly appear worldwide in masses. An event that led 'Anoms' to appear; anomalies that warp objects, creatures, and persons to dangerous beings unseen and unheard before.

In the city of Changye, in an office under the Shichinin no Ken Association, which is an affiliate of the Otherside Bureau, hires a new Assistant after the company he was working for got swallowed by a pit of flesh, allowing him to escape his debt-slavery and he becomes a hire for an office dedicated to hunting down and gathering information about Anomalies.

This is the story of a world that had gone to hell, where monsters, demons, cryptids, and anomalies are commonplace.
