Outrageous

Chapter 114

Liking or not, this was a serious question.

Lu Zhi Wei entered the production crew with this question and feelings of conflict, meeting Sang Wan Ci.

Lu Zhi Wei gazed at her from far away.

They hadn’t met for some time, but Sang Wan Ci was still the same as in her memories, mature and pretty, radiant and glowing as she stood in a crowd.

Nobody would be able to ignore her, or able to not rejoice when they saw her.

Yes, rejoice.

Lu Zhi Wei didn’t know what sort of emotion this was, only that when she saw Sang Wan Ci, her heart was willed with a wave of happiness, like the waves in the ocean, covering her conflict immediately.

As long as she saw her, Lu Zhi Wei was happy.

Lu Zhi Wei didn’t have time to investigate where this happiness was coming from, because Sang Wan Ci had already looked towards her and walked over with a smile, calling out gently: “Zhi Wei.”

No tiring add-ons were needed, no excess words were needed.

Just these two words were enough to let someone let go of her conflict and feel warmth like the sun was shining down.

Lu Zhi Wei walked forward and smiled: “When did you reach?”

“Not too long ago.”

Sang Wan Ci made eye contact with her, those amber eyes clear and bright, as if the light of the skies was shining in them.

“I was waiting for you.”

In that moment, Lu Zhi Wei’s heart felt like it had been flirted with.

Sang Wan Ci held her hand naturally, greeting /her manager as she brought Lu Zhi Wei to a quiet area to chat.

What director, what actors, they weren’t important now, it would be fine to meet them later.

The shadow of the tree leaves wavered as the breeze blew gently.

An elegant fragrance was in the air.

Time seemed to slow down at this moment as they walked leisurely.

Lu Zhi Wei followed Sang Wan Ci, sitting down on a stone bench.

They sat close to each other, shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand.

Unconsciously intimate, consciously maintaining it.

“What is it,” Lu Zhi Wei spoke first, “do you have good news to tell me?”

Sang Wan Ci chuckled, turning to look at Lu Zhi Wei.

“Zhi Wei, I made up with my dad.

“He won’t force me to do anything from now on.”

She had discussed it with her Aunty and used some small tricks to successfully resolve this conflict.

Just as Lu Zhi Wei’s mother had said, children were precious to their parents, and no parent could not feel hurt when their child was sick.

She was happy that her father was also a parent like that.

Hearing that, happiness immediately showed on Lu Zhi Wei’s face: “That’s great!”

After resolving the conflict and making up with her father, Sang Wan Ci would be able to do what she wanted and not have to exhaust herself.

Once she thought about Sang Wan Ci being able to live carefreely, Lu Zhi Wei genuinely felt happy for her.

Seeing the happiness between Lu Zhi Wei’s brows, Sang Wan Ci’s heart suddenly softened.

She reached out and hugged her.

There were many things she wanted to say, but they all condensed into one sentence: “Thank you, Zhi Wei.”

Lu Zhi Wei paused.

The wind blew past gently, offering up Sang Wan Ci’s scent.

At this instant, her heartbeat sped up uncontrollably.

She suddenly got an answer in the breeze.

—— She liked Sang Wan Ci.

Lu Zhi Wei was still thinking about it all the way until night.

She lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

She liked Sang Wan Ci.

She was very sure she really did like this friend who was four years younger than her, because a heartbeat wouldn’t lie.

But how could she have fallen for Sang Wan Ci, how could she have become a lesbian?

Maybe she was a lesbian from the start, she had never met someone she liked because they were all male?

But that shouldn’t be, she clearly had men and women by her side often…….

She looked at the ceiling, not making a sound.

So…… She hadn’t fallen for anybody in the past because she hadn’t met Sang Wan Ci?

Sang Wan Ci could make her feel attached, could make the thick skin that she had trained over the years useless, and she could affect her emotions and heartbeat.

Sang Wan Ci……

She liked Sang Wan Ci, there was no denying it.

But what should she do?

Should she continue liking her in secret, or should she daringly confess and ask if Sang Wan Ci was willing to like her too?

Thinking about the latter, she suddenly closed her eyes as her face showed a pained expression, a strong sense of reticence growing in her heart.

Yes, she didn’t want to.

She didn’t dare to bet on it even if there was a 50-50 chance.

If she lose the bet, they wouldn’t even be able to be friends.

At that time, she wouldn’t have the right to share in Sang Wan Ci’s happiness and sorrow, their distance would only grow wider and wider……

But she wasn’t willing to give up on this liking either.

Although she realised her feelings late, but she clearly knew what she had received from it.

Falling for Sang Wan Ci, she was very happy.

Even if she had to keep her feelings hidden, it would be bittersweet.

Thousands of thoughts crossed her mind.

After a moment, she opened her eyes again, her gaze determined.

She had decided, she would follow her heart and continue to like her.

Go find out, Lu Zhi Wei.

Go find out the possibility between you two.

If you realise it’s not possible, you can just lock your emotions up and like her in secret.

As time passes, the feelings will fade and you’ll still be good friends.

After making her decision, the messy thoughts were all straightened out.

Lu Zhi Wei turned over and tried her best to sleep.

There was still the script reading to attend tomorrow, she couldn’t show up with dark eye bags.

The script reading session is just as the name implies, everybody sat around a table and read the script from top to bottom, looking to determine their characters’ personalities.

Lu Zhi Wei sat opposite Sang Wan Ci.

Every time it was Sang Wan Ci’s turn to read her lines, she couldn’t help but look up secretly.

Sang Wan Ci’s slender fingers were gently grasping the side of the page as she looked down seriously, reading the lyrics in the tone of the character.

Her acting was flawless, as if the character was borrowing Sang Wan Ci’s mouth to tell her story.

Lu Zhi Wei’s eyes showed her approval.

This was the first time she was working together with Sang Wan Ci, the first time she was sitting in the same room with her and sharing their characters.

But even like this, she liked it.

Who didn’t like a hardworking person? Especially if this person was good in everything.

Lu Zhi Wei thought about it, it was probably because it was Sang Wan Ci, so she could accept her feelings so easily.

She couldn’t think of a single area that Sang Wan Ci was unlikeable in.

She was very happy that she liked Sang Wan Ci.

After Sang Wan Ci finished her likes, she had a drink of water to moisten her throat.

Now it was time for Lu Zhi Wei to recite her lines.

Sang Wan Ci looked at her, silently.

Lu Zhi Wei was dressed elegantly and gently today, so gentle that it felt like she would accept anything that others did no matter what.

After a moment, Sang Wan Ci’s lips slightly lifted as she smiled imperceptibly before looking down again at the script.

……

The filming had gone on for half a month.

Lu Zhi Wei and Sang Wan Ci had also gotten along for half a month.

Lu Zhi Wei felt that Sang Wan Ci was clinging to her, or maybe she was the one clinging to Sang Wan Ci —— she could no longer tell which was which.

What made her happy was that Sang Wan Ci was in a relaxed state, not wound up and nervous like the first time they met.

This was best, it wouldn’t be that exhausting.

When Lu Zhi Wei wasn’t filming, she would cook for the crew.

Sang Wan Ci liked eating her cooking, even making a promise to go to Lu Zhi Wei’s home for a meal after filming was over.

Lu Zhi Wei definitely wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to spend time together, seriously noting down everything Sang Wan Ci liked to eat.

When Sang Wan Ci wasn’t filming, she would be looking at videos on her tablet, or at the filming set, or in her room.

Lu Zhi Wei initially didn’t know what she was watching, but she found out later.

Lu Zhi Wei was on break one day, walking behind Sang Wan Ci and catching a glimpse of what was on the screen.

She froze.

Only to see her television show on the tablet’s screen. Even more coincidentally, it was showing a kiss scene.

Lu Zhi Wei: “!”

Immediately, embarrassment took over as she covered Sang Wan Ci’s eyes.

Sang Wan Ci, who had her vision stolen from her: “?”

She turned back to look at who it was, feeling confused when she realised it was Lu Zhi Wei: “Zhi Wei? What’s wrong?”

Lu Zhi Wei was speechless: “……”

Although filming is for an audience to watch, but letting the person she liked watch her kiss scene was too awkward!

Her toes were practically carving out a castle!!!

Lu Zhi Wei awkwardly started trying to find a topic: “You, why are you watching my show?”

Sang Wan Ci: “I’m revising.”

Lu Zhi Wei: “?”

Sang Wan Ci: “I want to watch all of Zhi Wei’s works.”

Lu Zhi Wei: “……”

This was pretty embarrassing.

Lu Zhi Wei said awkwardly: “That’s not necessary, especially this kiss scene……”

Her voice grew softer as she spoke, the last two words almost inaudible.

Sang Wan Ci: “Especially what?”

She looked at the screen: “Kiss scene?”

“……”

Lu Zhi Wei’s face turned even redder.

She didn’t know why either, she always blushed easily when she was in front of this person who was four years younger than herself.

But Sang Wan Ci was still so serious……

Lu Zhi Wei didn’t know what to say.

Luckily, the director called her over so she quickly ran away.

Sang Wan Ci watched as she left, lowering her head to look at the video.

The video was paused at the part where the male actor was preparing to kiss Lu Zhi Wei.

She lifted her finger and skipped this part expressionlessly.

After wrapping up, Sang Wan Ci and Lu Zhi Wei arranged to continue rehearsing their scenes in the hotel.

Lu Zhi Wei was her senior here, so she could ask Lu Zhi Wei for help when it came to acting.

Lu Zhi Wei wouldn’t not help her either.

The two of them washed up and sat together.

After rehearing the scenes and listening to Lu Zhi Wei explain some acting techniques, it was almost 11pm.

After realising her feelings, Lu Zhi Wei cherished every second that they got to spend together.

She wanted to stay with Sang Wan Ci longer, but it was too late. She didn’t want to take up Sang Wan Ci’s resting time because of her own selfishness.

Unwillingness rose in her heart, but she still looked at Sang Wan Ci and asked gently: “We’re about done with it, is there anything else you want to ask about?”

Sang Wan Ci stayed silent for a heartbeat, then closed the script: “I still have one question.”

She looked up slowly at Lu Zhi Wei, her tone light and soft.

“Jiejie, what does it feel like to film a kiss scene?”

Lu Zhi Wei: “……?”
