Overlord: Blue Citadel Alternate

Chapter 4 - 「Lysithea」

"So…"

Jack looked over at Ninya as she spoke, watching him standing over the unconscious female he had put to sleep with a mere spell. "Yes?"

"What are you going to do with that tidbit of information that almost everyone will end up knowing within the next few days?" Ninya would walk over to the desk and lean against it, resting her hands beneath her behind to keep from slipping off.

Jack shrugged slightly before placing his hand on the woman's head.

"What… What are you doing?" Ninya's lips parted slightly pushing off the desk and making her way to his side. Wondering just what he had in mind. Was there a reason why he decided to help the random person who had nothing to do with him or her. Not that it really mattered if they had anything to do with her. She was just curious.

「Memory Sight」

This particular spell allowed him to view the memory of NPCs back in the game. It was generally used during quests which involved problem solving, or learning things from NPCs that normally had special requirements to talk to.

So as she was sleeping, he probed her unconscious, and her memories, to learn more about what she had been talking about. He saw everything, their approach on the apparent bandit base. And the appearance of the Vampire whom was none other than Shalltear.

"Altered? By the Vampire?"

"Probably," Jack said before looking on over to her, he was being a bit roundabout with that answer. "I'll make her forget the events as they happened, that should be enough to let her sleep on her own."

Ninya slowly nodded, though she didn't say anything. She didn't quite understand why he was doing this. That and finding that he could manipulate people's minds meant that he was pretty powerful. She was beginning to wonder just how old he was.

"How old are you, anyways?"

"Hasn't anyone ever told you that it's rude to ask someone's age?" Jack joked as he would wave his hand over the female's head.

Truth be told, he was using Brita as a guinea pig for the Tier magic he was using. He never used Sleep on someone before, and he sure never used Memory Sight in this world as of yet. He wanted to keep trying the different spells to figure out how they affected this world.

「Control Amnesia」

Using this Tenth Tier Magic spell, he was able to not only see the memories, but also interact and control them. He continued to poke around in her head, deleting and manipulating what he saw as data.

"That's one ugly True Vampire..." He muttered to himself, commenting on Shalltear's true form. It was rather disturbing especially with that big tongue of hers. He much preferred her more human form.

As he finished using the spell on the girl, he had almost completely removed the memories. The next time she'd wake up, she'd be only able to remember waking up after the attack and everyone was dead. Except for the ranger of course which was able to get back to E-Rantel and tell the Adventurer's Guild.

Ninya and Jack would walk out of the room and back to the Inn where the other three members of the Swords of Darkness were standing. Giving a brief wave when they emerged from the back.

Ninya moved forward in front of Jack, taking the lead as she stopped in front of them.

"I'm sorry for lying to you all this time," Ninya would apologize with her head lowered. Knowing she had disappointed her friends even though they would be worried for her either way.

Lukrut, Peter and Dyne just smiled at her.

"It's alright," Peter said with a smile across his lips as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "I have to admit we felt betrayed, but we'll get over it. You had your reasons."

"I just don't understand why you didn't say anything!" Lukrut spouted dramatically with his arms out and suddenly hugged her close to himself.

Ninya slowly raised her hands and hugged him in return, patting his back, before he released her.

"Will you go ou--!"

Peter whacked his friend upside the head, shutting him up quickly thanks to the pain. "It definitely stopped him from doing that."

Jack was grinning watching as Lukrut was holding his head. "Was that the reason why you were all upset earlier?" He'd ask curiously, as it seemed Lukrut was probably disappointed that he hadn't seen through her facade and hit on her.

"No!" Lukrut blatantly lied with a laugh as he retreated behind Dyne. "Don't hit me too!"

Dyne laughed heartily, "Tell the truth Lukrut, no one can protect you from this guy," he was joking though at the same time knew there was some truth to it.

Jack remained standing there, grinning a bit, an intimidating aura raising from his eyes.

Lukrut w.h.i.n.ed sarcastically, "Why do you guys bully me so!"

Ninya laughed aloud as she observed her friends. They appeared to be having a good time now. They looked a bit happier now that they had some space to think things through.

Finally letting him off the hook, Jack looked to Peter who was looking over him, as if sizing him up.

"Something I can help you with, Peter Pan?" Jack asked curiously, making fun of his name in the process. The name was a perfect match for him. Peter Pan. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. If one really thought about it, Peter was Pan and the others were the lost boys. His eyes drifted towards Ninya, and she was Wendy. Or was she Wendy's kid? He forgot which one had the brunette hair.

"It's an old fairy tale from a few centuries ago, about a boy who lived on an Island known as Neverland where dreaming children roam. And those who permanently live there under his rule are known as the Lost Boys." Jack smiled slightly as he could remember his sister playing in her room. Pretending to be dancing with Peter Pan's shadow. Having him help her pretend to fly with pixie dust. His c.h.e.s.t felt like it was hurting just from the nostalgia. "My sister loved that story. She always pretended… To be part of it when she was small enough for me to pick up."

"How old are you?" Lukrut raised a brow staring at him, coming out from behind Dyne.

Ninya giggled inwardly, "That's rude."

Jack laughed internally at this and shook his head slightly. "That's a conversation for another time."

Ninya turned to him, her cape fluttering as she did so. "You told me not to ask though!"

Jack smiled widely as he placed a hand on her head and lightly pet her short hair. Feeling it between his gloved fingers before glancing over Dyne, before taking a step back and turning towards the front counter, before Peter and the crew came up in front of him.

"Why are you blocking my path?"

Peter kept his smile on his face as he spoke. "How about we treat you to a room?" He nudged Ninya in front of him towards Jack teasingly.

Ninya gasped and stepped aside, red in the face from embarrassment. "Guys!"

Ninya turned on her heel and looked to Jack, "D-do you really want to share a room?"

Peter blinked a few times hearing her question Jack about this, "Wait, did he already ask?"

Lukrut's lower jaw nearly dropped to the floor as he heard this. This guy, this unknown man, had already asked to share a room with Ninya before they had even arrived?! Seriously!?

Dyne pinched the bridge of his nose seeing Lukrut's facial expression filled with surprise and jealousy. Especially since Ninya was actually considering sleeping in the same room as the stranger who saved them. It was indeed natural for young women to flock to a stronger man. Or so, that is what he said prior and he didn't seem to be wrong.

Jack nodded casually to Ninya and the others. He was answering them all at once with a single action, a simple bob of his head.

Peter would hand Ninya a few coins for the room before turning and looking to Jack as she walked off towards the front counter. "Now that I think about it, you referred to the person who killed us as an it?"

Jack nodded, "They were a coward. The moment she knew she couldn't beat me, she tried to flee. So I impaled her… However the one who killed her wasn't me," he glanced over his shoulder towards Ninya. "Before I healed her, she used all of her strength to stab Clementine to death while I kept her pinned to the wall with my staff."

Peter, Lukrut and Dyne just stared at him before all their eyes were set on Ninya.

"She thought you guys were lost forever," Jack made the assumption, though it was a very keen one.

"And if I hadn't showed up, all four of you would have died."

"What about Momon?"

"Your killers would've been gone by then, the torture was coming to a close when I entered."

Peter and Lukrut just stared at him, "How'd you know to come to the house?"

"Your unloading of the wagon woke me up. I decided to check it out after I heard the lamp break, only to find someone had cast magic around the building to block sound."

Dyne nodded slowly, as all three of them could recall how that had happened. The girl had asked the man in red robes if he had sound proofed the place so that she could have some fun with them.

"Wait.. We woke you up? Where were you sleeping?"

Jack looked away, itching the tip of his nose with his knuckle. "I woke up on the opposite side of the street. I think I was deserted by the carriage driver I hired." He again lied to them, but it made for an interesting narrative other than waking up in another world, not knowing where he was until he killed someone and took their knowledge.

"That's rough..." Lukrut blinked a few times, "How exactly did that happen?"

"Maybe I was snoring?" Jack for a fact knew that he didn't snore, he had recorded himself dozens of times as he slept. It just sounded like a good comedic excuse.

The three men chuckled at him and shook their heads before looking to Ninya as she was making her way back over to the four of them.

"I got the room. It's the second to the end of the hall," She said with a smile on her face. There was a bright pink tinge to her soft pale cheeks.

"By the way…" Peter spoke up as he reached out and gave her arm a light nudge with his fist. "Is Ninya your real name?"

Jack who had used magic to learn the identities of all the others present when they were dead and dying, already knew it wasn't her real name. It was an assumed one. Her true name was Lysithea Veryon, the alias Ninya was derived from her sister's name Tuareninya.

"You guys…" Ninya w.h.i.n.ed quietly, she didn't want to be called by her true name.

"Okay, we'll let it go. For now," Peter chuckled gave them a light wave. "We're going to go check on Momon and see if he's alright."

"You guys probably shouldn't. After being revived, you've lost a large amount of strength," Jack informed them which caused them to pause for a moment. "You'll have to regain some of your lost status from being brought back."

Once that was done with, Jack followed Ninya to the back room and opened the door for her to enter first before closing the door behind them. He took off the mantle and hung it up by the door as she padded over to the bed.

He then took off his jacket and gloves, stuffing them into his item box.

Stretching slightly, he felt his bones pop and he almost m.o.a.n.e.d out loud. "Yes..."

Ninya took off her scarf and cloak, followed by her outer layer tunic with the belt and pouches, placing them on a chair. This left her in just black pants, a long sleeved black shirt and her boots. Sitting down on the side of the bed, she leaned forward and slipped her feet out of the boots and placed them at the base of the chair where she positioned her clothes.

Looking over at Jack as he was looking through the thing he called a holographic display, she blushed slightly and looked at the bed she was sitting on.

Jack was slipping his feet out of his boots as he was walking towards the bed. As he sat down beside her, he turned off the screen and centered his attention to her. "You're alright?" He asked as he reached over and started untying the leather strips at the collar of her shirt.

Ninya slowly nodded, hesitantly as she swallowed audibly, but she was rather happy he was checking in on her instead of treating her as some sort of consolation prize and taking what he wanted. It assured her that he cared. Though form what she could tell, he wasn't in any rush as he seemed to be exploring her just with his gaze, taking his time.

Once he finished undoing her shirt, he would let his hands slowly run down the fabric until he grasped the hem and pulled it up over her head.

「Clean」

In that moment her shirt was cleaned immediately, causing her to blink several times. Did he seriously just clean her shirt? Watching as he folded it and sent it to the chair, she looked over him a few times.

"Something wrong?"

"N-no," Ninya was hugging herself now, rather self-conscious about him seeing her like this. Even though she still had the binding straps around her small c.h.e.s.t to hide her b.r.e.a.s.ts.

Jack smirked a bit as he leaned in, gently brushing his lips against her shoulder, traveling up her neck. He could feel her trembling against him, he liked the feeling of her tensing up from the feeling. His right hand grasped her side, feeling her skin, moving up to her arm which she held around her c.h.e.s.t and lightly tugged it down.

Ninya didn't fight his hand, her arm followed and she found herself being pulled into him. Against his c.h.e.s.t. She nuzzled her face up to his shoulder, taking in his scent.

He smelled like mint leaves and chocolate, though it wasn't super strong. It wasn't like he had bathed in it, but it was more of a subtle scent. Ninya felt like she was going to melt into him. That was until she felt his lips on her collarbone, his teeth grazing her skin.

All the hairs on her neck stood up and she gasped out loud. She pushed her forearms against his c.h.e.s.t, but he wasn't letting her budge as he continued to hold onto her. "H-hey… Jack?"

"Hm?" Jack slowly tilted his head to the side as he gave her some slack, letting her have some space.

"Wha-wa-where'd you learn to do that?" Ninya felt her neck slightly with her hand, she felt like she couldn't stop trembling. She wanted to feel more of what he could do. A tingling sensation in the back of her mind was pushing her forward. Yet at the same time she was afraid of anything like this.

She could only imagine her sister, however or wherever she may be, and if this is what the noble was doing to her. Touching her like this, or of it was rough and forced. Of course, she believed it more to be the latter, rough and forced without feeling and dignity.

"E.r.o.t.i.c Literature," Jack blatantly spouted that out. Having s.e.x wasn't really a pass time. Up until now, he really didn't have much of an interest in it. He drowned himself in a game to hide from reality.

"I-I see..."

"Shall we continue?"
