Pain

So anyways. Yeah. Friday came along and I needed to go to the mall. You know for Tasaku's birthday since I know I wont be able to before his real birthday. So, I wake up and smile a bright perfect day. I put on some jean shorts and just a black tank top. I take my hair out of my braid and it falls down all wavy.

I smile at my reflection on the closet mirror. My wavy brown hair is kind of a mess and yet some people would say it's perfect. I hate my hair. I hate my body. Honestly I hate my looks. Yet I also love all of it. Weird right? I smile and my reflection smiles back at me. I grab my wallet and my skateboard and start riding to the mall.

Once I get there I walk in and think what am I even going to get this guy? I look around and I smell the cinnamon roll cart across the way. God damn temptation. I refuse to buy cinnamon roll today. Then I see Lilly waving me over. God damn a**hole. She's my mom's friend's daughter. Me and her practically cousin's. I don't really know if I like her because sometimes she's pretty fake but what can I say she's 3 years older than me. I walk over and she gives me a huge fake smile. Wow no wonder I think your a B****.

"Hey Aiko!" She smiles at me. Ugh.

"Hey Lilly." I smile back.

"Your usual?" She asks.

"Uhm, yeah." I say as I watch her make my favorite part of the roll. The goey inside.

"So, how are you?"

"Good I guess. Life has been crazy."

"Tell me about it." She kinda rolls her eyes. "I think my mom has a stick up her a** or something. Maybe she's pregnant." Great here we go again with making everything about herself. "She's always like Do this do that. Like the F*ck why is she always shitting on me." I roll my eyes a bit when she turns around. She's just trying to be a mom.

"Yeah, Well I'm sure she's doing it for a good reason." I try to save her.

"Yeah yeah yeah. That's all I ever say!"

"Well maybe it's true. You don't know." I say.

"Yeah well maybe she just wants a better daughter." I hear some pain in her voice. And now suddenly I feel it too.

"Lilly I-"

"Here Aiko. On the house. I know your birthday is coming up so yeah consider it a early birthday present" She interupts with a smile.

"Thanks...." She turns around quickly. "Hey and Lilly I think your mom does love you." I smile and grab a fork. "See you!" I skate off eating my cinnamon roll centers. I feel bit bad but I hope she is alright. I see a astronomy store and I get a bit excited. Perfect. I finish my cinnamon roll and pick up my skateboard and go in. I see a a glow in the dark Galaxy pillow and perfect. Tasaku loves Astronomy. He will love it! I start to make my way to the cash register when BAM. I fall over someone's shoes and I fall to the ground.

"I-I'm sorry!" I say quickly without looking up at them. I collect the pillow in my arm and my skateboard.

"Hey its fine that was my bad I wasn't looking where I was going." I hear them say and they hold his hand out to me. I look up and he smiles. "Here let me help you."
