Pink Lotus Mining Company

I am now at bank taking a loan. I take a 40.000 petal loan. I have a total of 65.000 petal, where 20.000 is from Eli.

This money will be used for buying mining area right, and stock more food. Around 400 petal is needed for one person meal for a month. Buying five months worth of two people meal and area right, my remaining money is 8.000 petal.

Alright, that's the estimations. I hope I can get a little cut in food.

After the loan money got transferred to my bank account, I call Eli.

"Have you finished packing?"

Eli is now packing her belonging, moving to my ship.

"I have... Now I am at landlord house, talking about the apartment."

"Ok, how will you move your thing? Need help?"

"It's okay, my thing is not that much, I can do it alone."

"You sure? I'll not help you then..."

"Ugh,... Help me~"

"Haha, okay, I'll catch the next ship."

After helping Eli with her thing, now we are at dock. I still not buy area right and food. I plan to go to Space Terminal 11. Mining area right can only be bought at that area's nearest Space Terminal, which is Space Terminal 11. For food because we just go to Terminal 11, we still have enough to cover.

"Let's go??" I asked Eli.

"Go!!"

I operated the ship's control panel... Not long after there is a robot like voice heard.

"Ship is starting... Power will be turned off for a few seconds."

This ship's electricity can still on even when the ship's engine is off. Most ship have this feature, this is so that even when ship suddenly have engine failure, at least ship's air regulator is still on. For engine failure, battery is used for powering. But for situation like now, when ship is docked, power from outside or in this case power from dock is used.

"Power restarted..."

"Preparing the engine... Scanning for error and malfunction"

"No trouble found..."

"Engine ready to start... Starting in 30 29--"

"Woah, the line changed." I exclaimed in surprise.

"Hmm? Can maintenance change system announcement?" Eli asked. She know this ship has just maintenanced.

"This ship is not only get a maintenance, I also upgrade it. Some of that upgrade is the AI."

"Engine started..."

"Starting to take off..."

"Need owner recognition to unlock ship from dock."

I move to face recognition camera. I then do fingerprint and retina scan.

"Opening dock door... Ship now unlocked from dock... Moving out from dock..."

"Moving out complete, ship can start moving now. Please set a destination."

I set the destination to Space Terminal 11.

"Destination set, analyzing possible route..."

"Route found, estimating time needed..."

"4 days 20 hours is needed to go to Space Terminal 11."

The ship is totally upgraded, before upgrade this journey would take a minimum of 10 days. This difference in time needed is because of the warp gate generator charge rate.

All warp gate generator in this era have the same max distance, the difference is the power supplied to generator.

Ship have it's power priority, for transport ship either it is a passenger or cargo, its priority is of course the gate generator. For mining ship, its priority is the mining module.

The ship is designed according to the priority. Transport ship have a super cooling system to cool down it's gate generator so it can generate gate repeatedly in shortest period of time. Mining ship didn't have that much room for that, mining ship have a super bulky mining module. Other than that, when mining module is deployed, there is a big power line between ship and the module, that power line is of course stored inside the ship.

Of course you can design a more big ship so it can have a room to place cooling system... But is that really necessary? Mining ship didn't travel much, what is the use of traveling fast? You can just rent a big cargo ship to transport your mining ship. It is more money efficient than buying a mining ship that can travel fast.
