Soul: Good day, Mr. Steven Stone.

Steven: Y-You are…

Three hours earlier…

Right now Soul was enjoying taking a break for today as the ship that would take him to Slateport City would come by tomorrow.

He and his Pokemon were exploring the Dewford Town mountains as they tried to find some rare stones. Soul used Philosopher's Stone on a rock every time he and his Pokemon breaks one. Most of the time nothing was inside.

But other times they found several rare rocks such as Fire Stone, Water Stone, Dusk Stone, etc. Even though Soul already has some of these stones he still decides to keep it.

Soul: 'You never know when you need it.'

He thought as Sylveon came with a rock that was big as a grown man head. He took out Philosopher's Stone and used it as a red light flashed through both of the rock and the Philosopher's Stone.

Sylveon then breaks the rock, using her ribbons to slice it in half. There wasn't anything inside which leads to another disappointing moment.

Soul: It's ok, I'm sure we'll find something later on.

He said as he patted on Sylveon head. Sylveon let out a happy sound as they continued exploring the mountain.

When it was close to afternoon Soul decided to camp up here on top of the mountain. He made some stews and Pokemon Food as they all ate their lunch without worry.

They continued their journey as Soul spotted someone he didn't expect to see. It was none other than Steven Stone himself!

Remembering that he still has his Kanto Pokemon including some of the legendaries out, Soul called all of his Pokemon back to their Poke/Ultra Balls, including Mew. Anubis went to his shadow as Soul observed on what Steven was doing.

Steven, who was on top of the mountain hill, was still searching for rare stones since he couldn't go inside the cave again until it was deemed safe.

So far, he only found a Sun Stone and nothing else. But that doesn't mean that he would stop doing what he loves, after all, he always likes to collect various rocks and stones as his hobby. While doing this a voice could be heard from behind.

Soul: Hey there.

Turning behind, he could see a black-haired young boy with a golden tip at the end of it, and heterochromia eyes. He wondered what a young person like him was doing here. Looking at the Poke Balls, and Ultra Ball on his belt, Steven knew that this young man was a trainer.

Soul: Sorry if I scared you right there.

Feeling no bad intentions coming from this boy Steven calmed down and smiled.

Steven: Don't worry about it, I'm just surprised to see someone else here this early.

Soul: Its afternoon.

Steven: Is it already that time of the day? That's must be why I'm getting hungry.

Soul: Here, take this sandwich.

Soul said as he took out a sandwich of his bag, it was a food that he has made for quick eating whenever he gets hungry. Seeing the sandwich on Soul's hand, Steven's stomach grumbles before he could refuse.

Steven: A-Ah, thank you very much…

Soul: You're welcome, after filling your stomach we can talk.

Steven nodded as he took a bite on the sandwich. He felt like his taste bud exploded by how delicious this simple meal is.

Steven: T-This is delicious!

He exclaimed rather expressive. Soul smiled at this as he continued to watch Steven eating the rest of it.

While Steven finished the last bite, he didn't notice that Soul took out his mask as he removes his cover.

Steven: Thank you for the food-

When Steven met eyes to eyes once again with Soul his eyes widen. It was as if he had seen a ghost.

Soul: Good Day, Mr. Steven stone.

Steven: Y-You are…

Soul: I didn't think that I would still be recognizable by someone like you Mr. Steven.

He said, still keeping his smile on. Steven was shocked, no, in fact, he was electrocuted. To think that he would meet a legend, a person who is hard to come across by in this small community island.

When he first heard of a new trainer that have just started his journey would fight against elite-four members, Steven was surprised as he became curious and decided to watch the battles.

After the last battle with Lance Dragonite fainted Steven had his eyes widen. He knew how strong Lance was. Both as a trainer and an elite-four member. Today he is the champion of both Kanto and Johto which shows how strong of a trainer he is.

What made Steven even more surprised is when Soul gave up the title of a champion like it was something unimportant. Ever since he did that, the media was in chaos, even more, when he started his company which made Kanto one of the, if not the wealthiest region currently today.

His father have always wanted to meet with Soul and make business with him as much as many other companies, sadly… most of Soul's company is only operating in Kanto and Johto and he rarely does partnership with other companies.

Steven: Of course, I have watched all of your battles when you fought against elite-four members. You could say that I have admired you since, just like many others. If I may ask… what are you doing here?

Soul: That, you will find out soon.

He said with a mysterious smile, making Steven even more curious as to why such a bigshot would be doing here, unless…

Steven: Y-You wouldn't be… joining this season league, do you?

Soul: Maybe I do, or maybe I'm just here to take a break outside from Kanto. You just have to sit and wait, it was nice to meet you, Mr. Steven. I hope that you will keep our meeting a secret.

Soul was about to leave when Steven shouted.

Steven: Wait!

Soul: Hm? What is it?

What made Soul surprised next was that Steven made a ninety-degrees bow. That's right, one of his favorites characters is bowing down to him. Before he could say anything Steven started talking.

Steven: Please consider making a partnership with my father's company! I know it may sound selfish, but my father have admired your works ever since it started. I don't expect you to accept it, but at least, please, think about it!

There was no answer, as Steven was waiting for too long he looked up and saw that Soul was gone. Seeing this he felt a bit disappointed but still kept his smile. That was until he saw a business card on the ground.

Picking it up, Steven felt like he had accomplished something big. It was a Bussiness card from Soul's company with his personal phone number on it!

Steven: Dad will be so shocked when he sees this. I hope that we will meet again one day where I can battle you.

Looking up in the sky with determination Steven went to train his Pokemon team, hoping one day to give Soul a challenge.
