Pokemon The Force

A day after Soul accepted Professor Oak's offer, he begins to do various research with him. Sometimes they fail, sometimes not.

Nevertheless, it costs Professor Oak quite a fortune for doing it, as he sometimes was forced to cancel some of them.

After a week or two Soul parents came back home, as all of them were happy to see each other. They begin to tell each other, what they did for the past couple of weeks.

His parents were shocked at first when they heard that Soul became Professor Oak little assistant. But they accepted it, as they knew that kids at his age wouldn't even able to have a proper conversation with him, because of his intelligence. So he currently has no friends.

He also met with Daisy and Gary Oak after a few more weeks later and they all quickly became friends with each other. Daisy thought of him as her little brother, where Gary thought of him as his rival and would always compete with him with anything he could think of.

Soul still hadn't met Ash officially yet but saw him a few couple times, when he tried to befriend a Pokemon, only to get attacked by it.

Just like that 3 years have passed and Soul officially became 9 years old. Just one more year and he can finally start his adventure!

Today he was reading a fiction novel about a new type of Pokemon and other reading material to pass time with since Professor Oak was absent for a while. While he was reading a robotic voice could be heard inside his head.

<Host, God have sent you a present.>

This quickly made Soul stop on what he was doing and looked over at the screen in front of him. He quickly pressed the message button and saw a mail.

*Click*

Three objects came out of the air as he quickly inspects each of them. He was certainly surprised when he saw what God gave him.

A weird-looking Pokemon egg, one mega stone, and a keystone! He thought for a while and came to the conclusion that the mega stone must be related to the Pokemon inside the egg.

But he never saw this kind of egg before, maybe because he missed some pictures or descriptions of it when he read about Pokemon egg when he was 7 years old.

At least his parents gave him a Pokeball on his 9 years old birthday if he should decide to catch a Pokemon before he turned 10.

Soul: 'System can I store this egg and those stones?'

<Yes, host, you can, but time doesn't exist there. So if you decided to put the Pokemon egg in it, it would not progress to hatch at all.>

Soul: 'Then just sent those two stones into my inventory, I just persuade my parents to keep the egg and have the professor to help me with it.'

<Affirmative.>

And just like that, the two stones disappeared from his very own eyes. Since his parents aren't here today except for his dad, who was still working on his computer, while his mom took their Pokemons with her to her job.

*Knock, Knock*

Father/Fred: Come in

Soul walked into his father's office with the Pokemon egg with him, surprising his dad. They both stared at each other for a while before one of them decided to break the silence.

Soul: Hi dad.

Father/Fred: Champ, where did you get that Pokemon egg from?

Soul: Well, I found it behind one of the trees, while I was doing my normal routine. I didn't see it's parents anywhere, protecting it. So I thought it might be abandon or something. Dad, can I please keep it? I promise to take care of it every day!

Father/Fred: That's not only up to me to decide. Wait for your mother to come back and we will discuss about it. As for now, you may keep it.

Soul: Thanks, Dad!

Father/Fred: Don't thank me yet. Now I have work to do, please get out and don't disturb me anymore today.

Soul: Okay, bye dad.

Soul then closed the door behind him as his father sighed and begin on his work again. His phone then suddenly begins to vibrate, so he picked it up.

Father/Fred: Yes, I'm Fred Winterflame. W-What!? But what about my family? I see... fine, but I will only do this for one year before my son turns 10, goodbye.

He hung up and sighed once again in frustrations.

Father/Fred: Can this day be any worse? Damn those old bastards.

Hours passed by and when Soul's mom came home, she was immediately asked with a question.

Soul: Mom, can I please keep this Pokemon egg? I promise to take care of it. Please, I beg you.

Mother: Ah, Soul, honey I just came back and you already asking me to give you permission to raise a Pokemon egg? Don't you think you're too young to do that? And where's your dad?

Soul: Well, he just finished his work and will come out soon-

He was cut off by the sound of the creaking door. His father came out and man! He looked terrible.

Mother: Fred!? How long have you been working there and did you even drank some coffee!?

Father/Fred: Sorry to worry you, honey. But I'm going to sleep. You'll get to decide if little champ here can raise a Pokemon egg. Who's know if he gets a legendary Pokemon from it, haha…

Mother: Let me take you upstairs but before that. Soul, I give you my permission to raise that Pokemon egg. But if I see that you're slacking off, I take it away and gives it to the professor, understand?

Soul: Yes ma'am!

Soul said with a salute making him Mother smiled as she took her tired husband to their room. Leaving Soul alone as he looked over at the Pokemon egg and wonder what kinds of Pokemon will come out of it.

Soul: I wonder what kind of Pokemon will come out of this egg. I can't wait.

Soul grabbed the Pokemon egg and took it to his room, where he took some of his spare pillows and put it around the egg, making it as comfortable as possible.

Just like that Soul went down again to eat his dinner.
