Seeing the giant Pokemon, Alazakam didn't budge at all, instead, he was using Calm Mind to power to raise his special attack and defense, while Giovanni was switching Pokemons without him noticing.

Giovanni: Nidoqueen uses Taunt.

Nidoqueen taunted Alazakam to come and attack her, which Alazakam didn't like very much and would only use attack moves now.

Soul who saw this became nervous. Since Alazakam could only use attack based move now, he couldn't just teleport away just like the previous battle.

This proves how Viridian Gym to be the strongest gym here in Kanto. But that didn't mean he would give up, so long as Alazakam doesn't get hit, they would be fine. He had train Alazakam to be able to take some hits so it wouldn't be a glass cannon.

Soul: Alazakam uses Psycho Cut. 'Also use Future Sight.'

Alazakam sent out a powerful attack, as he used Future Sight, while his opponent was distracted.

Giovanni: Use Iron Tail and stops the attack!

Nidoqueen tail glowed white as she stopped the incoming attack. When her tail touched the attack she could feel a wave of pain all over her body.

Even though it did hurt her, it didn't make her faint nor anything serious. She looked at Alazakam angrily.

Giovanni: Now use Rock Slide!

Nidoqueen sent out several rocks against Alazakam, who couldn't use Teleport and dodge it. He now needed to learn to survive without using his most used move.

Soul: Use Psychic on the rock and throw it back.

Alazakam's body begins to glow along with all of the rocks that were aimed at him. He stopped the attack and sent it back towards Nidoqueen, who got hit by several rocks.

It did some damage, but not that much since rock-type wasn't effective against ground-type Pokemon.

Soul: Now use Psychic again on Nidoqueen.

Alazakam's body continued to glow, as he lifted the heavy Nidoqueen, and smash her against walls to walls until she fainted.

Giovanni gave out a small tsk, as he sent out his next Pokemon, Nidoking. As soon as he sent it out, four portal opened and hit Nidoking, who was unprepared for the incoming attack.

Seeing this, Giovanni widens his eyes, as he gritted his teeth angrily before giving out a command.

Giovanni: Nidoking use Megahorn!

Soul: 'Crap!' Alazakam quick use Psychic and move NIdoking away from you!

This time Alazakam was a little slow to use the move since he used almost half of his energy. So when he got hit, he could feel a pain in his stomach, but managed to use Psychic, which sent Nidoking flying away and crashed to the wall.

Nidoking fainted as Alazakam was heavily injured by Megahorn. Giovanni gritted his teeth again as he returned Nidoking to his Pokeball.

Soul: Alazakam return, you've done more than enough, thanks.

Alazakam let out a sigh as he returned to his Pokeball. Soul took out another Pokeball as both of them sent out their Pokemon.

Giovanni: Go, Rhydon!

Soul: Go, Noivern.

When Giovanni saw Noivern his eyes widened once again. A Pokemon that he hasn't seen before here in Kanto.

Looking at Soul, Giovanni could see a calm yet excited expression on him. It reminds him of his youth, but that was all in the past.

He could remember when he first got his Pokemon, gym battle, everything. The feeling of excitement came back to him again. Smiling, he went for the first move.

Giovanni: Rhydon use Stone Edge!

Rhydon sent out several blue rocks that came out from the ground, as Noivern flew up and Soul said.

Soul: Use Dragon Pulse and destroy the attack.

Sending a powerful Dragon Pulse, Noivern managed to destroy most of the attack as he also hit Rhydon, but was hit by one of the stones itself.

Giovanni: Can you keep up, Rhydon?

It gave Giovanni a nod.

Giovanni: Good. Then use Rock Blast!

Soul didn't know what was going with Giovanni, but he wasn't getting distracted by it.

Soul: Noivern use Hurricane!

When the rocks came close to Noivern, he begins to flaps his wings, as a hurricane was created.

Rhydon tries to struggle and not getting suck in the hurricane, but couldn't hold it off and was pulled into it.

The rocks that were still there hit Rhydon all over its body, with Hurricane the speed of rocks became faster and stronger.

When the hurricane disappeared, Rhydon could be seen flying down to the ground. Soul took this chance and gave Noivern another command.

Soul: Noivern finishes it with Dragon Rush.

Noivern covered itself with blue energy that took the form of a dragon and went to hit the falling Rhydon, who didn't have the time to react as it was hit in the stomach.

Rhydon was sent down to the ground with Noivern on top as a large crater was created. After a few seconds, Noivern came out with some scratches and Rhydon fainted.

Sighing, Giovanni return the fainted Rhydon and gave Soul the badge. Before he left he said.

Giovanni: It was a good fight. I look forward to your future.

Soul was surprised at hearing what Giovanni said. Before he could say anything back, Giovanni already left the arena, as the only person who was left was Soul, Anubis, and Noivern were left.

He looked at the badge and grabbed it hard before putting it on his badge collector. Soul looked at Noivern and pat his head.

Soul: Good job, now we can finally join the Indigo League.

Walking out, Soul set his course to Pallet Town where his journey started.

While he was walking, a pink cat-like Pokemon followed him quietly from behind. It looked at Soul with even more interest than before.
