Pokemon: Trainer’s Log In A Chaotic World

5 minutes before the start of the games...

Muliere was staring at the 10 B-Rank trainers and said, "Right now the state of Asadia is turning for the better. Although not where we want it the government and Pokemon league are getting closer to each other. People are still scared from the underground organization's Dark Trainers(if anyone has a better suggestion let me know will put a poll at the end).

So now that people want to see the level of trust and control trainers have in their Pokemon. As long as you guys show the special aura skills then everyone will definitely look highly among our elites of trainers.

So even though it's dumb and wasteful, I want each of you when fighting each other in the last event to yell out "Aura Link". I will leak to the announcer what this does superficially. We don't want people to get scared by overthinking."

.(AN: what I mean is that people hate trainers due to reasons mentioned in previous chapters. I will elaborate about the type of trainers in vol 2 this will only be terms utilized to show that Austin still has so much to learn. if they find out that these Pokemon are loyal to a certain trainer they may think the trainer will attack them. Not enough time past so that they can accept them.)

Sara: "Isn't that too much boss. We are trainers, not entertainers. If the audience was a light show there are many series that can satisfy their wishes. Not to mention it is a waste of Aura to purposefully condense it, you want us to yell like crazies that's embarrassing."

Leva(Fred's wife): "gym leader, that's too embarrassing. I can't do it."

Muliere: "Fine those who don't want to do this raise your hands. *everyone raises their hands* Ok leva and Pete are excused from the competition since they raised their hands first. The rest of you must do this. We need to do our best to look cool in front of the kids. They are the future. The most famous kids show is armored protectors(bootleg power rangers).

I had made the special tights each with a different color to match your registered auras. You will wear this and yell out like hero's Aura link and then you will visibly show the connection with your Pokemon and its power up. Got it!!"

(AN:power ranger over here Hahaha)

Maxwell: "Got you Head! I won't wear that for my life. "

Draco: "I think Sara would look good in that!"

Sara: "ok I'm gonna forfeit screw this."

Muliere: "wait fine no tights! But you will do the aura link or else be punished with sewer duty, and protecting spoiled rich kids for the entire year without break. "

Fred: "that is abuse of power boss you can't do this. Plus it's a waste of Aura if we make it so showing. That means we won't last as long."

Muliere: "I said it because I can. I'm the chairman of the league in Asadia. I don't care all that matters is you show off some things and let kids dream and parents reassured. So what's it gonna be sewer duty or giving a show to the masses."

Everyone: "Fine boss you win!"

*Evil laugh in the background*

(AN: due to being pressed for time and the difficulty of I have with being highly descriptive the battles will seem similar to other fights. Just keep in mind that any one of these B ranks is far stronger compared to the others even Austin will lose if he doesn't know Aura)

Now back to the present....

Author Note: "ladies and gentleman! The first match is about to start. I will be giving explanations throughout the fight. Just like before the b-rank trainers will battle one vs one league rule battles. The finals is also going to be one vs one on the trainers requests.

Now the first match Maxwell against Sara!!"

Sara had a calm expression while Maxwell was in thought. When they heard the gong they both called their Pokemon.

Maxwell felt he was unlucky to fight a much younger and more talented trainer. He called out his strongest Pokemon which was Rhydon.

Sara used the same Pokemon she used yesterday copperajah.

Both trainers: "Aura Link!"

A yellow aura appeared around Maxwell and connected with Rhydon. Rhydon roared and covered itself with the yellowish aura.

On Sara's side a silver energy linked with copperajah. The giant elephant roared and was then covered with a metallic aura.

The crowd didn't know what happen while the kids were yelling 'Power Strangers.'

Authors Note: "WOW! This is the first time I have seen something like this since power strangers.

No kids this isn't that TV shows of a group of random people who never met before, start to fight monsters with the power of color and some martial arts. No this is the power any trainer who becomes an elite unlocks.

What we are witnessing was never seen before. Even before the cataclysm. This is a new power humanity discovered to defend against the evils behind the walls.

According to our League committee. This thing known as aura is more prominent after the cataclysm. This allows humans to have a deepened connection with Pokemon.

The move Aura link help promote a second link with Pokemon on top of the connection provided by the pokeballs. Once it is established then trainers won't worry about being betrayed by the Pokemon. This is like a second link that make the Pokemon as friendly or more than beyond the cataclysm.

On top of that the link can increase the power of a Pokemon by up to 30%."

Sara ordered loudly to her copperajah to use High-Horsepower(a powerful charge attack), then iron head followed by heavy slam.

Maxwell didn't want to be out of the fight early. He had his Rhydon to use dig evading the charge then follow up with Brick Break.

Copperajah was a bit slow in reacting due to its large size. It was however able to return the hit with a swing of its trunk.

Rhydon didn't give up and as ordered used hammer arm. Due to the boost from the aura the hammer arm attack glowed with special effect and hit copperajah's trunk. Then it charged forward towards its stomach and used fire punch.

Copperajah gathered its energy and endured the punch. It then stomped down causing Rhydon to dodge back. Using its trunk it dug a piece of the stage and smashed it on Rhydon. After that it further used bulldoze and heavy slam. Finishing of Rhydon with superpower.

Although it was described like a regular battle, the sight of the audience were in awe. The aura used made Rhydon levels weaker than copperajah stand longer than it should have. Copperajah was trained to the level where even champions from before the cataclysm might face difficulty to beat it.

Aura is truly a game changing move in the Pokemon world. Austin was watching with interest. If only it was between two Pokemon of similar levels like Old Toms and his Conkeldurr.

The next match was Fred and Draco. Fred used his strongest which was a victreebell. Draco went with his macargo.

Both Trainers: "Aura link!"

A red aura emerged from Draco while a green aura from Fred and linked with their Pokemon. This added a very nice light show to the match. The children all cheered with how cool this was, while the parents seemed a bit worried.

The match was more evenly matched and Fred kept using poison moves to block the heavy fire moves of macargo.

Victreebell used reflect for the more dangerous moves like fireblast. The green aura strengthened most of its moves. It was doing a good job of tiring macargo. Sadly it seemed that the duo didn't notice that Draco and his macargo made the field molten with its overpowered flames.

It seems the aura gave a longer time for the flames to cool down. This made victreebell unable to move. Finally macargo used overheat and beat the burned and tired victreebell.

This battle gave Austin an understanding that aura also helped Pokemon cope better against their weakness. It strengthened the majority of moves that were produced by victreebell. He didn't understand though how the toxic sludge bombs were able to withstand the flamethrowers.

On the other hand the boost to fire type moves was very apparent. The flames were explosive and lingered far longer than it should have. This flamethrower would have burnt out his blaziken's flamethrower.

Austin: "Leader Muliere why was victreebell poison also strengthened by the aura. Wasn't the aura colored green to strengthen grass type."

Muliere: "this is a something you will learn as an aura user soon. Aura for almost every trainers is attribute-less. When it is linked with your Pokemon it will take on their attributes during strengthening. That's right attributes. In order not to expose his strength in aura Fred masked the poison attribute. At the same time he gave a good show for the kids."

Austin: " what would happen if a persons aura was attributed?"

Muliere: "then he needs to focus on that attribute and change his team accordingly like your master here."

Chuck Norris: "Hey! Why are you talking about me for. Focus on the matches and don't breach the privacy agreement."

Muliere: " Hahahaha! Old fool I'm only telling you disciple and It's not like it's a secret among the B and A ranks.

Chuck Norris just shrugged and grumbled causing Austin to smile. Even his evil teachers has days like this.

Author Notes: for the next match Old Man Tom vs Gryffindor.

Gryffindor: "I forfeit due to not being a match for this old man."

Old Man Tom: "You'll go far son. It's good to know when to move forward and when to retreat."

Author Notes: "There you have it folks! This match up was forfeited and Old Man Tom is the winner.

The next match up is between Rain and Raven.

Rain goes with his Tyranitar.

Raven goes with his Pelipper.

This match was a bad match up for pelipper although it had flight advantage. It wasn't as fast as other flying types. It also had field disadvantage since their is no water. Austin mentally commented.

Both Trainers: "Aura Link!"

A brown energy enveloped tyranitar while a blueish one around pelipper.

The battle didn't go the way Austin predicted. Although Raven and his pelipper lost, it wasn't badly. They also put up a fight.

Austin realized again that aura was game changing.

The battle started with tyranitar using sandstorm and followed by rock blast.

It then used ancient power, stone edge, and dragon breath.

Pelipper instead of dodging fired off many water type moves. It even met the the first rock blasted towards it with a steel wing.

The match even seemed in its favor as it landed a aura powered hydro pump. It even got several water pulses and an ice beam.

What surprised Austin was that the aura applied on both Pokemon was different. The on tyranitar didn't seem to power its attack but it increased its defenses and endurance. Pelipper like the rest experienced an attack boost.

Pelipper was soon tired out. It was then hit with a rock blast, followed by a thunder fang.

Author Notes: There you have it everyone! The next group of match is in 20 min. The first match will be Sara against Draco.

The second match will be Old Tom and Rain.

The crowd was busying themselves with the match. Maybe it was due to the children being excited about B-class Powers, the parents didn't seem too worried. It seems hat Muliere's bet was good. Sadly in the future their will be a minority who won't change. There always be people who aren't content.

???: "Beta did you find out what's going on in Asadia?!"

Beta: "No Alpha as it has been cleaned out by 'them'. I couldn't get any good info. 'Those traitors also taught the City-State how to keep a tight defense. If things keeps going like this Asadia might reach the level of the Great 7. It is at least less complicated politicly. "

Alpha: "Will they be a hindrance for our plans for Psych-Hold, it's neighboring city-state."

Beta: "it shouldn't be. They are too occupied with opening the hearts of their people to Pokemon. This was the only info I was able to get from that newbie C-Rank I killed earlier."

????:" Boss, beta I have some news."

Alpha: "Go for it gamma."

Gamma: "let me start with Psych-hold. All of our agents and operatives are ready for withdrawal before the wave. The only two S-ranks in the stronghold will perish in this plan. The Corrupted Masters have prepared everything in advance.

Now in Asadia I found a few things that might annoy us. The first is that they had an influx of trainers this year. They also announced their nation's Pokemon lillipup which has been accepted by the public.

I don't know how, but rumor has it that they can breed them to be absolutely loyal. If every human in the city is equipped with one it will be difficult to take down.

The second issue was that they are holding some type of battle contest for trainers. Although I don't know what is going on, this may encourage the decaying atmosphere that was in the city to slowly disperse. Trainers will train harder giving us a tougher foe to take down.

I want to suggest that when we finally initiate the raid on Psych-Hold. We also send one to Asadia."

Alpha: Excellent work although we don't got much. Your analyse is quite good. I'll put good words for you with the Rocket division administrator. Now let's go back to Dark Corp and report.

In Kaldia...

???: So you telling me you met a Corrupted Lugia more specifically it's dark form. You guys also survived that.

Lily: Yes dad. Also the reason for this was due to the help of the S-Rank talent of Asadia.

????: why did a newly rising city state want an alliance?

Lily: "Other than trading in Z-Stones with us. They wanted a manual and video guide to train Aura master. My guess is they want Austin the S-Rank talent to gain the most proper Aura Guardian training.

Our Region has improved it and systemized it to new heights. Every city state follows our guide."

???: Interesting! They have balls to request this. I will accept this but I'll make some conditions.

Lily had a shocked look at her father the leader of the league in Kaldia, Ivan. He rejected sharing any information regarding aura with the other City-states. The only place that may even have a good aura program was the Kanto region's City-State.

Her father actually agreed she couldn't help but mutter "why?"

Ivan: " your this surprised! Well I guess you would be. Don't think too much about it. Long story short the other City-States has Spies from them(Dark Corp). Asadia is the only place that is currently clean. Don't worry if you know how it was before there you would be shocked.

Anyway I'll set up the meeting tonight and let them know."

Author Notes walked back to the announcer's table.

"Ahhhhh your so handsome" a Ten Yelled.

"I want to have your child!" Another Yelled.

Author Notes(with a slight blush): "Thank you ladies I appreciate the jester but now the semi finals will begin.

The battle of elites is the most exciting event. These are the hero's that grew from the masses. They survived each day and grew stronger the longer they lived. This developed into a power to protect our loved Asadia. Please give Them a round of applause as they come up to the stage.

The first match Sara Vs Draco!"

Sara: "Your going down pervert!."

Draco: "Now Sara lets just have fun and enjoy the moment."

Draco called out macargo thinking that Sara would be stubborn enough to call her copperajah.

When Sara saw macargo she smirked and called her out her Quaqsire. This caused Draco to feel dumb. He should not have assumed things.

Both Trainers yelled out Aura link and connected their aura with their Pokemon. Sara started the match with earthquake and water pulse. The moves were fired at the same time.

The moment Draco saw Sara's moves he quickly had macargo used withdraw.

This was exactly what Sara wanted him to do. She hand quaqsire use Aqua jet and the beating started. Macargo fainted within its shell. Draco didn't even have the time to give up.

Author Notes: "the winner is Sara!"

Sara: "this should teach you not to piss me off."

Draco: Sara this is different. I merely stated fact or are you saying you would look ugly in tights.

Draco had a teasing expression and Sara was pissed off again. They bickered while getting off the stage.

Author Notes and the crowd laughed at the duo.

Author Notes: "next fight Old man tom against Rain."

They both used the same Pokemon as before Conkelldurr against Tyranitar. After linking to their Pokemon the fight began. It was tough but conkelldurr had stronger attacks and eventually beat tyranitar and it's amped up defense.

The final match began shortly after that Sara and her Copperajah against Old Tom and his Conkeldurr.

This match was the most exciting and it was the one with the closest call. The winner ended up being conkelldurr and it one by successfully landing a full powered focus blast prevent itself from getting hit by giga impact. Then landed another move at the exhausted copperajah winning the match.

This was truly a splendid event. The crowd learned a lot. The children were excited. The most affected were the trainers. This served as a means to motivating them to be better.

Austin was excited about the potential of aura. He wanted to grow stronger with his Pokemon. He wanted to adventure in this strange world. He wanted to find out the truth and own a legendary. It all starts with becoming B-Rank.

This is not a story of a happy go luck Pokemon world. No, it's a story of a Trainer trying to survive while pursuing the truth.

This world is filled with many different monsters and legends waiting to be unearthed. What caused the legends to forsake mankind? What is Dark Corp? Where is the so called deity Arceus? Who are Austins parents? Where did this aura come from?

Can Austin survive in this Chaotic world?

These questions have answers waiting to be uncovered in the future adventure.

I think would is one of the best fanfics I could right at the moment. The journey to here was fun. The second volume will be out after my exams on the ninth.

After thinking for a long time I decided that the next fanfic I will start will be on the manga Veritas. I liked it but before I can write anything I need help from those who dead it.

What was the main story line? This was something I couldn't figure out. Now the MC has a straight forward story. The girl Vera I didn't understand much of her story. Only that she had a seal from her sister and that seal was removed by lightning tiger. Then she took over her sisters position.

Reunion was a project to strengthen normal students or something with martial arts. The thing I don't get is why it was meant to be destroyed.

The individual story of the other characters was also easy to know. It's just their knowledge compared to Vera is pretty much lower. So what they were fighting for mainly withing school sitting was different than what vera was fighting for.

I just want to understand the main plot better so when I plan for my fanfic it would make since.
