Pregnant At Seventeen Of Triplets

Chapter 26 - 26: This is your house

Amelia‟s Point a view

I signed myself out of the hospital this morning and John had offered to drive me „home‟. Right now we were sitting at MacDonald‟s, John said that I have been living off hospital rubbish for too long. Now I get junk food rubbish.

I smiled over at John. I was enjoying getting to know him again. He seemed to care about me a lot, which made me feel loved and wanted, which I didn't feel right now.

Everything was new and I craved for familiarity and comfort. With John, I felt that which was strange because I don‟t know him. I could see the sadness in his eyes occasionally, but he hid it well.

We were laughing over a burger and fries when I saw the woman that was my mom walk in with the triplets. She froze when she saw me and the triplets toddled to the playground, not seeing me. When she started walking to the table that John and I were sitting at I became very nervous.

"Hi Amelia, John," she said John smiled at her, "Hi Helen," he said easily, "Want to join us?" he asked politely. "Sure, I will just go order first. DO you guys want anything else?" Helen asked. John looked at me and I shook my head,

"Nah, we are alright, thanks" he replied. She smiled and walked over to the counter. I looked at John with evil eyes. He knew that I wasn't comfortable with them, even if they were my children and my mother. "Why are you looking at me like that for? He asked innocently.

"John," I said warningly. "Look", he said, "They are your kids. They aren't old enough to know what is going on, and think about how much it would hurt your mom if you didn't at least look like you are trying"

"Hey!" I said indignantly, "Don‟t pull that crap with me. I am going to try, I get that I have responsibilities, but I just got out of the hospital. I would like some time to get used to it!"

"Too bad" was all he said. He was to irritate me now. I was about to give me a piece of my mind, when my mom came back carrying a tray, closely followed by three one-year-old kids.

Lunch was a new experience for me; well I guess an old one, but new to the new me. After a while I think that John realized that I wasn't doing too well, and he excused us both, saying that we would meet them at home.

The ride home was tense, to say the least, but by the time we reached my house I couldn't be angry at him, and that alone made me even crankier. "This is your house," John said as we pulled into a driveway of a two-story house.

"Wow, it‟s big" "Yeah, you should see the inside. Come on." He said as he got out of the car. I followed him up the footpath to the door. A sharp pain shot through my head and was gone before I even knew it. I pushed it aside.

I was curious to see my house, my photos, anything that could help me remember. We walked through the door and I was thrown to the ground. I started panicking when I saw that it was a girl. She had blonde hair and was smiling like the mad hatter. I was slightly scared.
