Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 611 - Warning

An image of Lady Gabrielle rushing over after hearing the Princess was hurt. The way the Prince treated her. It seems there is no chance anymore. Those moments in the past, they can never return to those days. But at the very least she wants to repay him for those memories by protecting the Princess.

Her deep thoughts broke off when she heard the sound of something clattering. That sound sounds close, is it coming from outside? There shouldn't be that many other residents in this area. That is the main reason why she chose this place.

Pupilliam stood up and left her room before making her way to the lounge area. Her gaze fell on the window and spotted a familiar horse and carriage by the gate. A relieved sigh passed her lips.

'For a second I thought it was one of Queen Lethia's people.'

She quickly went to the door and unlocked the hatchet to see the familiar face of Amakaze. The moment he saw her he immediately slumped into his arms.

"Are you alright?"

"I've been surrounded by pesks for so long. So seeing you is delightful."

"You're clearly well enough to flirt." Pupilliam commented.

At that comment Amakaze chuckled.

"Are the other two here?"

"No sir Teo returned to the castle, he said he wanted to check up on the general. Gilbert also had some family matters to attend to and said he would help out once he gets back. " When she asked him about work, he told her he had some free time. These days, it feels like that guy is avoiding work.

'Could it be that Queen Lethia has gotten to him-' Pupilliam shook her head. That can't be it, just earlier he was with them and having fun while the Princess was there.

"I see, I guess he's become a bit more serious since I last saw him." Amakaze trails of. "Pupilliam bend down for a second."

She looked at him puzzled but followed his words. The moment she did she felt his lips on her neck.

"You smell like perfume."

"Oh I put some on."

Or rather the Princess gave it to her. 'Pupilliam you try some too! Rhys bought it for me.'

The Princess acts so weirdly when she is around sir Rhys but whenever he gives her presents, she acts like a child.

"You look quite dressed up. Is that dress new?"

Is it? She just put on something random. Ever since she became the Princess attendant she did dress up more so as not to destroy the Princess image. But she didn't go too far with it.

"Let's go inside." Pupilliam mumbled. .

She does not like staying out for too long when it is dark due to the poisonous mist in the air. Although the area around the academy should be safe, due to the number of mana users.

..

The moment they went inside, she led Amakaze to the sofa and he slumped down.

'Is he that tired? Then again dealing with the culprits probably isn't easy.'

"Pupilliam, I think Queen Lethia is planning to hurt the Princess soon."

"You think?"

"No, I know."

At those words Pupilliam frowned. This is sooner than she thought, no the fact that the Queen even waited this long is unusual. The reason why she waited this long despite her deep hate towards the Princess is most-likely because of that man, her so-called fiance.

Prince Andrew told her something unbelievable. It turns out that fiance is one of Rhys brothers. Fate seems to play out strangely. But if that guy is truly involved that means the only ones to stop this is the Princess and Rhys. If that is the case what will happen to sir Kazuya?

Her thoughts broke off when she heard somebody knocking on the window. Pupilliam sighed and immediately walked over to open it. "Is it the Sound Kingdom's tradition not to use the door?"

The person who just climbed in was Ryuuko, a man who the Princess made a contract with. If princess Lyn knew he was scouted to be part of the ones who graduate early to become part of her knights, how would she react?

"It's important. Besides, a young woman living alone won't open the door to a man so late in the night."

A normal woman wouldn't but she is a knight.

"Why did you come here?"

"I had something to discuss. Queen Lethia is making her move."

At those words she pointed to Amakaze on the couch. "The guy passed out just there told me."

'It seemed after he told her that he fell asleep." Just a few minutes ago Amakaze was awake but now his eyes were shut.

"It's that bad?"

"She is planning on framing the Princess for a terrible crime. It seems she has gathered enough fake evidence and witnesses too."

"That's too vague, did you find out what crime she is planning on blaming the Princess for?"

"Attempted murder on a high level individual."

Huh attempted murder? "It's true you can get a sentence for it but-" Pupilliam's sentence fell short when she hears the doors open revealing the Princess and Rhys.

But unlike earlier the Princess complexion looked terrible.

"Say Pupilliam--have you seen-" Lyn trailed off. "Ryuuko! There you are."

"Why are you so pale? "

"Ehh? I am."

"Rhys, what's wrong with her? "

"Right? Not even I can tell."

Pupilliam raised her eyebrows at this comment. How can that be? She saw with her own eyes how Rhys healed the Princess arm. This man is far stronger than what he lets out. It was something sir Kazuya told her before he left.

'You don't have to worry so much about Lyn. Rhys is far stronger than me. He holds himself back a lot so he doesn't attract attention from the wrong people.'

She only learned recently from Prince Andrew what those words meant. To think Rhys was part of the Rain Kingdom tragedy. But if she thought about it carefully all of it makes sense. There were signs of it before, she just failed to acknowledge it because she was biased.

"Tsk. Sit down over there and don't move. Geez, why the hell are you always so troublesome?"

"Sorry about intruding on you like this Pupilliam, and Amakaze too. I only came to get some medicine. But it turns out I'll be having a check up."

"I don't mind. You look very sick, are you sure your okay?" Pupilliam asked.

The Princess still hasn't made a full recovery. With sir Rhys by her side however Pupilliam knew better than to fuss. That guy behaves the way he does but like sir Kazuya said he certainly has medical talent.

Or rather it's good timing that they all came. If she was left alone with Amakaze any longer; who knows what would happen? No she already what would have happen.

'I cannot do that stuff now.' Not now, when the situation is like this.
