Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

'I need to get a grip on my own emotions and my heart, just because Prince Andrew won't look my way anymore. I cannot do something selfish like this.'

"I'll be fine."

"She's lying."

"Rhys!"

"You're honestly troublesome though. Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"

"Because if I did, Rhys you wouldn't kiss me. "

At those words her sweat fell. So the Princess does act childishly around sir Rhys, she thought she only behaved that way around Kazuya.

Are they having this sort of conversation here? Well it is amusing watching them. 

"You idiot, I'd kiss you anyway so you don't have to do something like that, rather I'd probably kiss you more. " 

Pupilliam nodded in agreement. Rhys is the kind of person to take advantage of a sick person after all.

"Really?"

"Uh ..yeah."

"En. I got it, I'll be sure to tell you next time."

Princess is way too straight forward. Rhys looks like he's going to die of embarrassment. Then again it is rare for Rhys to make this expression.

'At first I ȧssumed that Rhys was only messing with the Princess. Whenever the two are together it felt like Rhys was stringing the Princess along. But that's not the case.' Rhys gets flustered around the Princess just like any other man in love with her.

"Speaking of which, have you two seen Lady Penelope?"

"Prince Ralph kidnapped her. " Ryuuko stated casually. 

Hey hey, don't remain quiet the entire time and only speak up now. Still Pupilliam watched him get several bottles out of his bag. 

'I wonder if all people who use dark magic are good with medicine.'

"Oh my, would the master do something like that?"

"I bet he would." .

"I know you would Rhys. But I'm not sure if the master would. "

"Eh, Rhys you do that?"

Pupilliam doesn't say anything to that but her silent nodding didn't go unnoticed by Rhys.

"Oi, quit telling everyone such strange things. Or, do you want me to kiss you right here?"

"Eh ah um? Wa-"

Rhys who was inches away from Lyn's face suddenly drew back. "Just kidding. Did that make your heart beat? "

"Rhys come out here for a second. " Ryuuko called out.

When she thinks about traits that remain the same for Rhys; this is certainly one of them. Rhys gently kisses the Princess forehead; before he left the room with Ryuuko. This action left the Princess flustered.

"Dummy."

A girl in love is truly beautiful. Whenever the Princess makes expressions that are solely for Rhys. for the one she loves, there is a strange glow around her.

'It has suddenly gotten noisier around the Princess.' Ever since kazuya and Rhys appeared in the Princess life so much has happened.

After she gets the medicine, Sumire will probably leave and Ryuuko who came hers originally to talk about Queen Lethia, will only stay for a little while longer.

It really is nice being with everyone like this. But they can't stay here for long. Her thoughts break when Lyn grabs hold of her hands.

"Amakaze do you have time? Let's stay here and chat with Pupilliam a for a bit longer. It's been awhile since I last spoke to you two." Lyn said with a bright expression and sheepish laughter. "That's okay isn't it Pupilliam?"

"But sir Amakaze is sleeping."

"Oh then let's just talk! I miss talking with you."

"Princess, your sister the Queen is-"

"Planning on taking me down right? I know."

'It seems she must have noticed even before they did. The Princess sharp senses surprises me even though I know now. I would never have imagined that Prince Andrew trained the Princess secretly.' 

"You seem to be unusually calm."

At those words the Princess shook her head. "No I am actually afraid. But I trust Rhys to keep me safe and I trust Kazuya's plan. Pupilliam you know what to do right? If my sister tries to blame me for a crime, you will be the first one she will test."

'Do your duty.' That is what the Princess is silently telling her. 

If a master goes astray it is the duty of their head Knight to either kill them by their own hands or to fall down that same path.

She promised the Princess when she first became her Knight that she would choose the last option no matter what happens. But the Princess does not want her to do that.

"Princess Lyn, I cannot leave your side."

Lyn shook her head. "You have to. If you follow me then the entire of Amakaze's household will get impacted too. Your his fiance, whatever action you take will impact him."

"Won't Lord Amakaze get in trouble anyway? He is one of your Knights-"

"He won't because we have not made a proper oath. Besides I have made sure that Lord Amakaze has attended more to his household duties then. I made sure he acted appropriately as a noble from the Mist Kingdom."

"What about sir Teo and the General."

The Princess cannot make excuses for them.

"Those two will be jailed. My sister will arrest them alongside me. She will not give them room to escape."

Indeed that is true. The former queen entrusted the General with all of Lyn's matters since she was a child. The lieutenant decided to do the same. If the Princess supposedly commits a crime then those two will be tagged as accomplices. Normally it would be the same for her. But due to her engagement with sir Amakaze, the situation has changed.

"During that time your movements will be limited. But it is better than all three of you being locked away. Pupilliam, you cannot do anything that will make my sister suspicious. You have to stay loyal."

"Sir Kazuya told me about the plan too but Princess-" Her sentence fell short when Princess Lyn grabbed hold of her hands again. 

"You know what you have to do Pupilliam. You're the only one who can do that."

"Princess, when do you think she will do this?"

"For Ryuuko to go all this way and for Amakaze to rush here despite dealing with the aftermath of those people. I would say in another fort night or so."

At those words her eyes widened. "That is way too soon-"

Lyn shook her head. "No it is the perfect time. My injuries are still healing. The ones who attacked the academy are connected to me, even if I'm not the ring leader. They still attacked because they were after me. My sister can use that."

Certainly with the scale and damage of the academy attack the Princess will be held accountable due to her status. But they cannot completely blame her for it.
