Project: Success

The couple arrived in a romantic gazebo. Grandfather Fu and the others were also there, clad in a magnificent white tux while the girls wore their pink dresses decorated with roses around the right strap of their dress.

It looks like a family gathering. Like an important gathering.

They were people playing violin. While the Qing Family stood together with the Fu's smiling at them.

Min Ju cannot guess what's going on. She knew it was a date but why were their families are there? She need some alone time with Qing Wu Yao everyone!

Nevertheless, she was happy that they were here.

"Is this the surprise you were talking about?" Min Ju asked him as they sat at their table.

"Hmm? Is this it? I don't know." He smiled thinking.

Going back in time yesterday... Qing Wu Yao was ushered by Grandfather Fu to talk in his study room.

"So, what's your plan? Are you sure about my Granddaughter? Do you really love her? If you hurt her I'll f.u.c.k.i.n.g kill you!" Grandfather Fu was direct and immediatelybombarded him with question followed by a threat.

Min Ju was his precious granddaughter. How could he let Qing Wu Yao hurt her? If not now, there are other days that Qing Wu Yao might hurt her.

"I love her, I really do. And I was planning to tie the knot with her as soon as possible. But I don't want her to feel that I'm in a rush. Is there even a reason why I love her?" He stood in front of Grandfather Fu with determination.

"My heart suddenly beats for another reason. And I find myself drawing towards her with the constant beating of my heart. I am not a perfect man, and I won't promise you that I can't hurt her for their was certain circ.u.mstances and decisions that might actually hurt her because of me. And for it, I want to apologize in advance." Qing Wu Yao suddenly bend over, bowing at Grandfather Fu.

"I will take care of her and do my very best to make her happy."

Seeing that he was being serious about his Granddaughter. Grandfather Fu help him to stand up properly.

"My Granddaughter, don't let others wronged her." Grandfather Fu put his hands around his back.

"I will give my blessings for your marriage with Min Ju. As much as possible, I really wanted to see her walked in the altar. My eyesight is already getting blurry of old age. I'm afraid that I won't be able to see that child's smile again..." Grandfather Fu let out a sad smile.

"I'm not afraid of dying. I am unwilling. There are things that I wanted to see before I die. My great grandchildren, seeing Min Ju turn into a m.a.t.u.r.e woman. Seeing her graduate. I want to be here when she achieve success."

Qing Wu Yao remain silent as he listen intently.

"But time is cruel. You never know if it's your day."

Grandfather Fu looked at Qing Wu Yao, "You know, why don't you try asking her? If she said yes, then continue to the wedding preparations."

Back to the present, Qing Wu Yao hold the hand of Min Ju that was lying in the table.

"I have a question for you. The only thing you should answer is yes or no. But I'm hoping for you to say yes."

"It depends on the question."

She saw the nervousness grew under Qing Wu Yao's eyes. There was a vague thought that came to Min Ju's mind.

Is he going to propose to me?

Min Ju's heart began to beat with nervousness and excitement.

"It's still early but I want to secure my position in your life. I might be extremely possesive but Min Ju, you're mine. And they knew that I'm always yours." Qing Wu Yao gently rubbed his thumb at her knuckles. He looks at her hand, trying to imagine the ring he bought for her ever since he saw her for the first time.

"Hmm-hmm." Min Ju nodded in response.

Nervousness grew more palpable in that attractive face of his. Qing Wu Yao began to sweat a little.

He lifted her eyes, and the moment he did. He once was again mesmerize at that smile of hers.

"I'm all ears." Min Ju said.

Meanwhile, the Qing Family and the Fu's waited on the side. They eagerly waited for Qing Wu Yao to say the magical words of, "Min Ju, Will you marry me?"
