Min Ju was currently at the longue with her friend. He Rue was leaning her head in Min Ju's shoulder, fast asleep. While Min Ju looked at the carvings in the token that she was wearing in her neck.

It was an oak tree. And an oak tree can mean something. It is a symbol of strength, patience, faith, and power. On the other side of the token, is the surname 'Xiao' on it.

Min Ju knew that this is a noble emblem. A family heirloom. Why would Old Man Xiao give it to her. She doesn't understand.

Unless...

Min Ju's countenance turn pale. Is Grandpa Xiao... No that can't be. We only just met! He doesn't know me!

"Min Ju, what's wrong? You look ghastly pale." He Rue woke up when she sense that Min Ju's body suddenly stiffen and when she open her eyes, she saw her pale expression.

"It's nothing. I was just overthinking things."

If it's what she think it is. She'll get angry. I mean, she can't accept this! She already accepted Aunt Megan's money, and she found out that this token might be a symbol as an heir of the family. Old Man Xiao is probably rich, that is Min Ju's hunch. After all, he have that gorgeous pure diamond cane and he looks like he came from a military family. But why her?

"Maybe you're hungry?"

He Rue's voice pull Min Ju back to earth.

"Yeah, I was. I'm thinking to grab something to bite. Wanna come with me?"

"Hmm. I'm hungry too. The snakes in my stomach is grumbling." He Rue chuckled and cling to Min Ju's arms rather sleepily.

"You should go home after eating. I'll take care of our two old man."

"I'm not leaving. I'll sleep in the couch in my father's room." He Rue insist on staying. She cannot burden Min Ju more on looking out for her father especially that she seemed to have a lot in her hands right now.

Min Ju and He Rue step in on a burger restaurant. The two is having the craves for some patties partner with soda and fries.

They ordered the 'Big Duo', a giant burger with some fries.

Seeing the food in front of her. He Rue was fully awaken.

They eat silently. One who's mind is on other things, while the other is thinking how to gobbled up all the foods that Min Ju bought.

Hmm?

He Rue notice that some thing is hanging on Min Ju's neck. She never saw her wear that before.

"What's that, Ju'er?" She pointed out.

"Ah? This? It's a token. A gift from someone." Min Ju bites a mouthful of her food making her cheeks bulge. Within 3 minutes, she finished the burger surprising the person sitting opposite her.

"Ya, that's a jumbo burger! How did you manage eating it in three minutes?!" She still haven't finish hers. She eat her burger first but Min Ju manage to finished her burger in a matter of 3 minutes.

"I have a mouth and a hungry stomach." Min Ju rolled her eyes.

"Right. Who gave that token to you? It looks very valuable." He Rue wipe her lips and put her elbows in the table waiting for an answer.

"It's Grandpa Xiao. You'll meet him tomorrow. He's on our floor."

"Xiao? Xiao? There's only one person who owns that surname. He's famous for being a grumpy old man. No one really saw him laugh or smile. He seemed to be a gloomy person." He Rue rubbed her nose.

"He is? He's different from the person you told me."

"Are you sure we're talking about the same person?"

"Well, you said there's only one person who have that surname, right?"

"I didn't met him personally so that old man must be not so bad!" He Rue said, not wanting to critize a person she have not met.

The next day, Grandfather Fu suddenly found himself face to face with an old man whilst the latter is staring at him too.

Who is this? When did my Ju'er known this person?

Wait, wait, wait! Now that I stared at his face longer. He looks rather familiar!

Going onto that conclusion, Grandfather Fu's eyes went wide!

Isn't this Xiao Ren?! He had met him in the past and he will never forget that this person is more powerful than him.

One would know that he was once from the military. Owns more than a dozen of business properties. And was known to be a grumpy old man!

Who doesn't know about this damnable man?!

Suddenly, his eyes darted at Min Ju. She can't possibly know this Xiao Ren, right? Since she grew up abroad.

"Grandfather, meet Grandpa Xiao."

"Hello Grandfather One. We have meet before right?"

And then boom, Grandfather Fu felt his mind exploded at the call.
