Queen Of Adis

While the whole Trium Regum was either celebrating the birth of the spring maiden or conspiring to take her from the royal family, the couple was totally unaffected and busy preparing for their long-overdue date.

Haru woke up at dusk and now fully recovered from her awakening in the morning. Adis was currently dolling her up for their little excursion to the entertainment city of Lumine, Zephyr.

She giggled as she looked at Adis' serious face in the mirror while the latter was putting a flower clip on her short hair. "Why are you so good at this, Adis? I honestly don't need Millie and Hannah anymore when you're around."

"That's the plan, my love. So when we're together, you don't have to look for anyone else. I am not just your lover, I am also your friend and loyal servant. Where can you find such a man?" Adis smugged. His eyes lit up with pride and joy as he watched his masterpiece in the mirror.

With eyes fixed on hers, he c.a.r.e.s.sed her smooth, rosy cheek with the back of his fingers and whispered to her ear. "Such ethereal beauty deserves this great King's doting."

Haru felt her cheeks and ears flushed from the intense compliment. She looked down at her l.a.p to avoid his fiery gaze and bit her lower lip.

The big black wolf behind her swallowed hard as he felt his throat parched at her innocent act. His sadistic nature was emerging and he itched to tease her more.

"Why are you being shy with me now, hm?" Adis leaned down and blew a hot breath against her neck.

"Stop! This is too much for my heart." She squealed and covered her face with her hands.

He let out a throaty laughter and gently removed her hands on her face. He kissed her blushing cheek then coaxed her to look in the mirror again. "Check this out."

She obediently did as she was told. When she saw her reflection in the mirror, her eyes instantly widened and inhaled sharply. Her hair color changed from black to blonde and her amber orbs darkened like an obsidian stone.

She blinked her eyes in disbelief. "Oh, my goodness! What did you do to me?"

"Based on what happened earlier, the citizens may have already heard what you look like from those gossipmongers. Everyone must be waiting for you to go out of the palace. It will be troublesome if they find out our real identities. Besides, I think it's more exciting like this." Adis chuckled and changed his features as well.

Haru stood up from her vanity chair and turned around to check his new form.

His slit-pupils changed into human eyes while his long black hair became short textured and days-old stubble added mysterious charisma on his face. To complete his disguise, he even wore a black commoner's shirt, tight pants, and military boots.

She narrowed her eyes and hissed with the way his muscles flexed against his clothes and the eye-catching, delicious bulge in his pants. "You look like a seasoned military man from my previous world. S.e.xy and dangerous!"

His disguise didn't mask his overbearing countenance. On the contrary, his ragged appearance just enhanced his dangerous s.e.x appeal.

She clicked her tongue in disapproval. "I'd say, pesky butterflies will fly around you now that there's no troublesome royalty title on your head."

"It doesn't matter," Adis shrugged and held her h.i.p.s as he pulled her closer to him. "I never liked butterflies, anyways. I prefer a silly white rabbit who rambunctiously jumps and love to mess around. After all, this big bad wolf is a carnivore."

Haru giggled and accepted his delightful assault to her lips. She sn.a.k.e.d her arms around his neck then went up to the back of his head. She angled her head to give him more access when he plunged his tongue into her mouth and deepened the kiss.

She m.o.a.n.e.d and shuddered when he kneaded her firm b.u.t.t.o.c.k.s, making her feel that impressive bulge she was eagerly eyeing, on her stomach. An electrifying shiver ran down her spine when Adis coiled his tongue to hers and s.u.c.k.e.d it hard, drinking her saliva like a parched mortal desperate for water.

A soft knock at the door interrupted the lovers from their passionate activity. Then, a muffled sound came after.

"Your Majesty, everything is ready according to your d.e.s.i.r.e."

Adis buried his face in her neck and inhaled her sweet scent as his way of calming his libido. His tensed muscles were slowly relaxing under her gentle stroke.

"Shall we reschedule our date?" Haru asked, insinuating something more exciting than roaming around the city.

He stood up straight and wiped the corner of her lips. "No. I'm afraid that it will become busier in the coming days and we might not have any spare time to do it. Besides, there is somewhere I want to go after our date."

"All right. As you wish, my love." She stood on her tippy toes and kissed the tip of his nose.

He intertwined their fingers and finally moved out to explore the nightlife of Zephyr.

At the outside of the palace, a modest-looking carriage was waiting for them. However, once she opened the door and saw the interior inside, she was amazed at how comfortable and expensive it was. It was obvious that the materials used for making the carriage were quality products.

"So even our ride is in disguise, huh?"

"When you plan something, it should be executed up to the finest details." Adis nonchalantly replied and sat beside her.

After a short while, Adis ordered the coachman to park the carriage a walking distance away from the crowd to be inconspicuous.

As soon as they got out of the carriage, Haru dragged Adis to the stall that she saw from afar. Despite the still cold weather, every city in Lumine was livelier than usual. They were all anticipating the visit from the spring maiden. Banners, ribbons, and balloons adorned every post and stall around, all had the same print on it -- 'All hail, the Queen is here!'

Haru giggled and whispered to the man beside her while walking on the street. "Adis, I think I became more popular than the three Kings."

Adis looked around to observe, then nodded his head in agreement, "Mn."

For the entire night, they tirelessly tried various street food, window shopping and played different games on the street.

Haru's cheeks stung from laughing and smiling throughout the night. Surprisingly, her man could eat any kind of food no matter how cheap it was.

They ended their date on top of the teleportation tower, watching the breathtaking fireworks display next to the tower's bal.u.s.ter.

She was leaning her back on Adis' hard c.h.e.s.t while the latter enveloped her small frame in his embrace. They're both back to their original forms as there was no longer any prying eyes around.

"Haru, I want to take you somewhere, but you have to close your eyes first," he whispered to her ear.

"Okay," she enthusiastically agreed and closed her eyes.

When Haru heard a familiar swirling sound, she creased her eyebrows and tilted her head. "Are we going to use the teleportation spell?"

"Mn," Adis' quick reply.

"Where are you taking me? Boy, oh boy, the suspense is killing me!"

"Be a good girl and don't open your eyes, okay?

When she felt the chilly wind against her skin, she assumed that they were now in a different realm. She was assaulted by the devil's tempting scent when he embraced her again and took her somewhere else.

"Open your eyes," he finally whispered to her ear once they reached their destination.

When Haru fluttered her eyes open, she covered her mouth with her hands as her vision scanned the familiar scene in front.

A mountain over-looking the frozen terrain of what was once a desert. A bed of grass and flowers were laid right before the edge of the mountain. The bright full moon was as huge as the first time she came into this world.

They were at the Eremus mountain, an unforgettable place for both Adis and Haru.

Adis gently ushered her to sit on the white cloth sprawled on top of the bed of flowers. "Well, you can laugh all you want and call me sentimental, but I always long to come back to the place where I first saw you and to the place where I found my only means for salvation."

She cutely wrinkled her nose and teased him. "Yeah, you are not just sentimental, you are hopelessly cheesy." She pinched his cheeks and giggled softly. "Am I allowed to stay here now?"

"Yeah, a human can live in Umbra through the act called Eros. Eros can be done by kissing or having s.e.x with your fated mate."

"Oh, now I understand! It's because we already kissed, hence, I'll be safe from the miasma of this realm," Haru concluded.

"Mn. However, I suggest to stay away from the Dark Palace. The dark energy there is too much for you even after consuming my life force. But I'll figure something out in the future." He smiled and stroked her hair lovingly. "I will build a house here in Eremus mountain and it will be our nest for the time being. As proof of our fated encounter, I will name it after you."

She didn't know whether she got affected by his mushiness or she was just simply being sentimental, too, but she suddenly had the urge to confess what she was feeling at the moment.

She cupped his face and intently looked into his eyes. "Adis, I think I haven't thank you enough for everything that you did for me. So, thank you for putting colors into my dull world and for always kissing my insecurities away. Thank you for showing me so many things I never thought I'd be able to see and experience in my life. And most importantly, thank you for simply loving me. Others may criticize me for feeling this way for such a short period of time, but I don't care. I only acknowledge that my heart beats for you."

Adis' eyes glistened in delight at her confession. However, his orbs flashed a gleam of uncertainty. His smile slowly faded and he took a couple of steps back.

"There are a lot of things you still don't know about me, Haru. Things that I hide because I am afraid of scaring you or disappointing you. But tonight, there is something I would like to show you." Adis announced and pulled his shirt off, making his muscles ripped in his movements.
