A blinding light illuminated on the area of the explosion. When everyone's vision adjusted, their mouth gaped open and their eyes widened in shock.

The royal carriage was burnt into pieces!

However, the most astounding part was that all the debris were suspended in the air as if time stood still. In the middle of the fiery mess was a golden barrier with intricate spells around it. And inside the barrier was the Queen and her two maids.

Haru's entire body was enveloped with holy light as she sat on the ground. The golden barrier around her was automatically activated before the impact of the magic and debris touched her body.

Everyone, including Haru, was utterly shocked and speechless.

Meanwhile, the two younger Kings halted from whatever urgent things they were doing in their own palaces. Zen's body trembled and Aqua's eyes narrowed from both worry and shock. They felt that the Divine Protection was activated for the first time and it could only mean one thing -- Haru's in danger! They looked up to the sky as they immediately felt their big brother's wrath.

In the Dark Palace, upon realizing that the Divine Protection was activated, windows and chandeliers shattered into pieces, and all plants and flowers wilted within 100 meters from the ominous presence of the Demon King. Thunder boomed and lightning crackled in the dark sky. Numerous ghouls howled and ghosts made a sinister shriek as they flew away.

Adis' demon red eyes glinted dangerously as his knuckles and joints cracked. Black and deathly mana were spilling out from his body. Anyone who could see the scene would definitely have an endless nightmare, if not a heart attack.

Except for the Ignis brothers. It was apparent that they were used to the King's evil nature. Fang and Drako just calmly stood behind him, totally unaffected by the horrifying scene.

Then, the Dark Palace fell silent all of a sudden. Adis and his two loyal servants disappeared into thin air, leaving a scary mess in the place they were standing seconds ago.

Haru suddenly woke up from her stupor upon seeing the familiar shadow in front of her. "Adis?"

"Adis!" She exclaimed in surprise when the shadow changed its form.

Her devil finally made his appearance and the first thing he did was to protectively embrace her. At long last, she felt safe. She thought that the power of the Divine Protection was indeed astonishing as it brought her back to her man's safe embrace.

It only took less than twenty seconds before her husband appeared from the time the divine protection was activated.

"Are you hurt anywhere, Haru?" Adis asked in a low voice, careful not to scare her with his current temper.

Haru looked at his face and she saw a glint of evil sparked in his eyes. She c.a.r.e.s.sed his cheek and kissed him softly on his cold lips. She knew it was too late to pacify his anger but she hoped to lessen it even for a bit.

She smiled as she said, "I'm okay. The barrier was impenetrable." She held his hands tight then softly added, "Adis, Let's go home."

"Mn," was all he uttered before carefully leaving her in the care of his two maids. As he turned around and walked away, he then added, "Count to ten for me, my love."

"Mn," she nodded back.

While the Divine Protection was still active and glowing, the two maids and all three Ignis brothers silently surrounded her and created multiple levels of magic barriers. To any human being, just a small amount of Adis' dark power was already very dangerous, even more so when he cast it in anger.

The Imperial Knights and dark soldiers also cast their most powerful barrier to protect themselves and their comrades.

Now that the Demon King finally arrived, a massacre was about to take place.

Haru calmly closed her eyes and obediently counted. It was a silent agreement between the couple that whenever he was about to unleash his evil side, she would close her eyes and pretend nothing happened.

Everyone thought that she's oblivious to his true nature. But in truth, she had seen it all. She always knew his true nature, and his true feelings... so much so that it hurts.

The soil under Adis' feet dried up and the gravity around him became unbearable, causing the ground to split open. He whispered dangerously as his eyes turned bloody.

"Perish!"

Anyone in sight, except those inside the protective barrier, contorted their body in excruciating pain. The assassins gave a gut-wrenching cry throughout the punishment. Everyone could see blood and internal organs splattering on the ground, bones breaking, and flesh disintegrating.

Everyone could see the ruthless torture with their n.a.k.e.d eyes, except her. But it didn't mean that she could not hear anything.

Then an ear-deafening silence came.

"5...4...3--"

"Haru."

She heard Adis called her name softly. She slowly opened her eyes and a single teardrop fell from it as she finally saw his gentle expression again.

"Were you scared?" He gently asked.

She shook her head then looked around. Their people were respectfully standing around them with a relief expression on their faces.

"Queen Haru, the King kept the leader of the assassins for interrogation. The Ignis brothers will take care of the rest to find out who was behind this mess." Millie proactively whispered beside her.

"My Queen doesn't need to know such scary things." Adis sternly reprimanded the maid. He then looked at Haru dotingly. "Haru, let's go home."

"Yes." She smiled as she placed her soft hand on top of his. When Adis embraced her tightly, she marveled at the sensation, inhaling his cool fresh scent.

As she walked towards the new carriage, she suddenly felt something ominous from behind her, making the hairs on her nape stood. It's as if someone was watching her intently. She dreadfully looked back and sighed when she saw nothing but soldiers.

"What's wrong?" Adis asked when she stopped in her tracks.

She shook her head and lied, "Nothing. Let's continue."

Unbeknownst to them, someone was indeed watching her every move from a distance. The bulky man was currently hidden behind a massive tree with the s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s. They were surrounded by an invisible spell so no one noticed their presence and heard their noises.

All along, Duke Pier was f.u.c.k.i.n.g the s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s while his eyes were fixed to his spring maiden.

"Aahh, you are incredible! Your huge c.o.c.k is really incredible. Ngh, more, f.u.c.k me harder! Yes, oohh, you're gouging my v.a.g.i.n.a! I am now a slave to your p.e.n.i.s, kyaa! I'm going to break. No, I'm going to die! Aahhh!"

The duke was no longer paying attention to the delirious screams and pantings of the s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s in front of him. She was currently facing the tree and balancing herself while he continuously rammed himself inside her from behind.

When he saw the Queen halted and turned around to look at his position, he lost control and suddenly spurted his release. If he was not inside the invisible barrier, their eyes would have definitely met. But he took that moment to elevate his crazy imagination.

"Argh! Oohh, Queen Haru, my spring maiden. I'm coming for you. And once I have you in my arms, I will make sure to c.u.m inside your delicious p.u.s.s.y every day. Hahaha!" The duke declared like a total lunatic.

His h.i.p.s did not stop from his savage assault to the already unconscious s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s. He filled her to the brim then cruelly tossed her on the snowy field.
