Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

"Remember, No matter what you see or hear.. You CAN'T tell others.." Ming Yue gave her warning to all of them, she didn't want to expose herself but she couldn't help it this time.

"Bai Hu, return to your beast form and create a protective barrier around the four." Ming Yue ordered.

"Yes, Master." Bai Hu said as he slowly return to his original form and created a barrier around the four people behind Ming Yue.

The five people heard Ming Yue's words and they frowned. However they soon understood and had their jaws dropped when the cat turned into a huge white tiger. The scene that was supposed to exist only in fantasy movie now happened in their own house! More over they heard voice of the tiger echoed in their mind! Truly outrageous!

"Here it comes." Ming Yue said as dark purple fog appeared and a scary being appeared from it. It was a demon with sharp fangs and ruined face. The demon was tall, at least taller than Ming Yue and it has muscular thick arms and legs.

Seeing such demon, Lin Zhao screamed in fear while others stood frozen. The Demon stared at Ming Yue menacingly "Are you the human who came to disturb my place?"

Ming Yue's eyes narrowed slightly, "Your place? this is not your place. Who sent you here?"

"Sent? Why do you think I was sent?" The Demon said, its eyes filled with amus.e.m.e.nt.

"You were an evil spirit. You can't stay in one place and became a demon if you are not in contract with a human. Who is it?" Ming Yue asked in order tone.

"Don't act so high and mighty, human! I won't tell you anything! Now become my meal!!" The demon roared and launched at Ming Yue but stopped abruptly when he suddenly felt a supreme aura.

From the very begining, Bai Hu had hidden its presence when he entered the Wu house. That was the reason why the evil spirit dared to appear since it only sensed Ming Yue's presence and her aura. Now that it was trying to eat Ming Yue, Bai Hu would not be merciful.

"Th-This Aura.. i-it can't be.." The demon trembled in fear. The demon wanted to run away but murderous aura that Bai Hu launched, had locked the demon in its place. It couldn't move at all!!

"For a worm like you dare wanting to eat my Master.." Bai Hu growled menacingly, "It's a grave sin!!"

"Noooo!!! Arrgghh!!!!" The demon was engulfed by a whirlwind and soon vanished into thin air.

"I was worried about having to meet a strong evil spirit, looks like my worry was all for naught." Ming Yue said and petted Bai Hu's head, "Good Job, Bai Hu."

Bai Hu purred softly, enjoying his master hand. Ming Yue smiled gently and turned her head to five people who were still in shock.

"It's okay now." Ming Yue said in reassuring tone.

Lin Zhao slumped to the sofa nearby, losing the strength to stand and so was Fan Mei. Grandpa Wu was still standing but slowly he sat on the nearby chair.

"Bai Hu." Ming Yue called out to him and Bai Hu knew what he should do. There was a soft wind breeze suddenly appeared in the room, it made the five people calm and relax.

"This.." Fan Mei muttered and gave Ming Yue a gentle smile, "Thank you. I feel better now."

"It's my fault in the first place, Aunty Mei. If I don't come to this house--"

"Stop!" Grandpa Wu cut Ming Yue words, he stared at Ming Yue seriously. "How can it be your fault? If you didn't come to our house, Little Yue then my son is still cursed by that demon. For that, I, Wu Zhi Tian and the entire Wu Family are in debt to you."

Grandpa Wu wanted to stand and bow to Ming Yue but Ming Yue rushed and stopped him. "Please Grandpa Wu, don't be like this. You are kind enough to have me stay in your house tonight. That alone is enough, no need to be in debt."

"Ai this silly child, of course it's not enough. How about this, if you have trouble, come to grandpa. As long as it's not illegal, grandpa will help you." Grandpa Wu said, clearly being stubborn.

Ming Yue sighed in resignation before smiling at the stubborn old man. "Okay, thank you Grandpa Wu."

"By the way, Sister Yue." Lin Shao called out to her, "About that tiger.."

All eyes turned to Bai Hu who stood behind Ming Yue so nonchalantly.

"Ah.." Ming Yue grimaced slightly, "This is my guardian spirit, Bai Hu."

"Guardian spirit.. THAT IS SOOO COOL!!" Lin Shao gazed at Bai Hu with stars in his eyes and Bai Hu seeing such Lin Shao, gave a smugly smile.

"That's right mortal, I am sooo cool. You may worship me and my master." Bai Hu said in arrogance.

Ming Yue smacked Bai Hu's head "Bai Hu, don't be rude!"

"Master, it hurts. How come you copy what that stinky lizard did to me?" Bai Hu retorted in dissatisfaction.

"I am sorry for his rudeness, I will teach him manners later." Ming Yue apologized to the Wu family members.

"No it's okay." Wu Shi Jian smiled. "But I am indeed surprised, for you to have a guardian spirit. No, I am more surprised to know that guardian spirit actually exists."

"Yeah! like in those fantasy ancient movies!" Lin Shao said, "Can I touch your guardian spirit, Sister Yue?"

"Go ahead." Ming Yue gave her permission and Lin Shao rushed toward Bai Hu and carefully c.a.r.e.s.sed its fur.

"But to think that ghosts and demons exist.." Lin Zhao muttered softly,

"In this world, there are things that is hidden from people's eyes. The legends, creatures in folklore, they actually exist. Most people don't believe it but some people do and one of those people is the one who sent that curse demon to Mr. Wu" Ming Yue explained. "if the demon was left alone any longer, Mr. Wu will lose his life. Not to mention the demon's impurities also affects all of you."

Hearing Ming Yue's words, Grandpa Wu's eyes turned cold and filled with rage. "Dare to send curse demon to harm my son." Grandpa Wu slammed his hand to the armchair. "Such Audacity!"

"Little Yue, can you track the person who sent the curse?" Grandpa Wu asked

"Well maybe Bai Hu can. Bai Hu can you track it?" Ming Yue asked.

Bai Hu was enjoying his fur being c.a.r.e.s.sed, spoke while closing his eyes. "Of course, Master." He said and walked toward Wu Shi Jian.

Wu Shi Jian stiffened seeing a huge white tiger walked toward him. Even though it could talk but it was still a tiger, right? Of course Wu Shi Jian would be wary.

Bai Hu didn't care seeing Wu Shi Jian's reaction toward him. In Bai Hu's eyes, Wu Shi Jian was only a mortal just like the rest of people in this house. He didn't need to care about what mortal thought of him. What he cared was only what his master thought of him.

He lifted his paw and put it on top of Wu Shi Jian's hand and the moment he took it away, a pentagram appeared on the back of Wu Shi Jian's hand.

"This.." Wu Shi Jian stared at the pentagram mark on his hand, clearly dumbfounded.

"Don't worry, others won't be able to see it. This mark will shine bright red when it's near the person who gave you that curse." Bai Hu said and returned to Ming Yue's side.

"I see.." Wu Shi Jian bowed slightly, "I am in your debt."

"Mr. Wu is being overly polite. I am just repaying the kindness with kindness." Ming Yue said in humble tone.

Wu Shi Jian smiled, "Then don't call me Mr. Wu. Call me Uncle Jian."

"Okay, Uncle Jian." Ming Yue returned the smile.

"I will call you, Sister Yue!" Li Shao said excitedly. "Since we are the same age, you can call me brother Shao!"

"Me too, I will call you Sister Yue. You can me sister Zhao." Li Zhao said as she braved herself to follow her twin brother to pet Bai Hu. Soon she got addicted to it.

"Ah, about Bai Hu.." Ming Yue reminded them,

"Don't worry, we won't tell a soul. Not even the maids and butler will know." Grandpa Wu promised and the rest of the members nodded in agreement.

They knew that this matter couldn't be told to anyone because there might be people who would want to take advantage of Ming Yue and her guardian spirit.
