"Sister Yue.." Lin Zhao ran after Ming Yue who walked away in a hurry. Lin Shao managed to catch Ming Yue's hand and he frowned on how cold her hand was.

"Sister Yue, your hand is so cold." He muttered and hold it with both hands, trying to warm it.

Ming Yue's lips trembled slightly, she tried to adjust her messed up feelings but tears soon running down her cheeks. The twins was surprised to see Ming Yue in tears. Bai Hu's eyes grew cold, rage filled his heart.

"I am fine." Ming Yue forced a smile, wiping the tears off her face.

Lin Zhao couldn't stand seeing how Ming Yue forcing herself to smile. She rushed forward and hugged Ming Yue tight. Her heart ached for Ming Yue. Lin Zhao noticed how m.a.t.u.r.e Ming Yue was during the time they spent together in Tianshang De Kongjian. She felt Ming Yue was forced to be m.a.t.u.r.e despite having the same age as her and Lin Shao. It made her wondered how many wounds in her heart for her to be so m.a.t.u.r.e.

"I am here. WE are here. So don't be sad, Sister Yue." Lin Zhao murmured in reassuring tone and kept saying it over and over, just like placating a child.

Ming Yue laughed softly, feeling warmth returned to her body. Yes.. She had siblings, she had family, she had the four beasts. She wasn't alone anymore.

Patting Lin Zhao's back gently with her free hand and gripping tight Lin Shao's hands, Ming Yue murmured in soft voice, "Thank you, Brother Shao, Sister Zhao."

The twins finally released themselves from her. The three stared at each other for a while and laughed together because they felt silly and it was funny. They walked together, having small silly chats as if wanting to erase the tense atmosphere.

Lin Shao actually wanted to ask what was going on between his Sister Yue and that man, because no matter how he looked at it, that man was way older than Sister Yue. Sister Yue was 15 years old, just like him and Lin Zhao but that man looked like in his twenties. Probably around 22 or 23.. or maybe even more!

Why both Sister Yue and that man interaction was like they had known each other for a long time?

Ming Yue shook her head with a smile, "Well, we have arrived and we called you out because you were in a daze."

Lin Shao lifted his head and gazed upon the wooden signboard that had 'Chu Hui Restaurant' words written on it. "Ah right! Let's get this over with so we can go to Sister Yue's place!" He said excitedly and entered the restaurant ahead of them.

Lin Zhao scoffed in disbelief as she watched her twin brother excitedly entered the restaurant. "Seriously that twin brother of mine." She grumbled and held Ming Yue's hand.

"Let's go in together, Sister Yue." She said with a bright smile.

Ming Yue's lips curled upward and nodded. She entered the restaurant together with Lin Zhao, however Bai Hu remained outside. His head turned to the direction where Ming Yue met Long Zhi Qiang. His blue eyes filled with cold rage and d.e.s.i.r.e to kill.

'You had your chance but you ruined it..'

'Now you want to get close to My Lady again..?'

'Like I will let you get close to her..'

Bai Hu mused inwardly. He disliked Long Zhi Qiang before and he disliked him even more now. He had the same scent as that man called Zhong Kui, even his words were overbearing like just like that rotten man.

Bai Hu was deep in his contemplation, he kept thinking of the 'What ifs' story.

If His Master didn't sneak out of the heaven realm and explore the world, then she wouldn't meet Zhong Kui.

If His Master didn't meet Zhong Kui, then she would attract that man's attention.

If His Master didn't attract Zhong Kui's, then she wouldn't be pursued and ended up falling for him.

If His Master didn't fall for Zhong Kui, then she wouldn't fall into a trap and ended up having her goddess soul binded by curse chain and fell into mortal realm.

If only... they had not met at all..
