Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

At certain part of D City..

A black cat was standing on top of a small building and its golden eyes stared at the busy street below. It watched the people and the cars for quite a while as if searching for something.

"I wonder where it is.." The cat suddenly spoke, "I am pretty sure HER aura coming from this part of city. I can faintly smell her fragrance."

Under the moonless night sky, the cat jumped to another building then to the next, following the trail of faint fragrance of the person it longed to meet. The faint fragrance kept leading the way, until it reached the a huge mansion. Yes, that mansion was the Wu Family House.

"It's here? Why?" The cat didn't understand, why that person was living among the humans? It was way below HER standard.

The cat easily jumped over the tall fence, if anyone saw it, they would be surprised because a normal cat couldn't jump THAT high. As it kept following the scent, the black cat noticed that it came from one of the window in the second floor of that mansion.

The cat jumped to the balcony, saw through the window but no one was there. The cat sighed as it flopped it's body on the edge of the balcony. It felt tired after taking a long journey, searching for HER. The elder had given a prophecy, he said SHE was in this city

"..My lady.. where are you.." The Cat muttered in sadness, "This Ling Mao misses you terribly.."

Thousand years...

For thousand years she had cultivated in slumber..

After what that damn goddess did to her savior, she chose to go into slumber and cultivate.

Up until now, it was still fresh in her memories. The moment her lady's body destroyed and her soul fell into mortal realm, the moment that man fell into madness and almost destroyed the demon realm and heaven realm all together, the moment that man died only to chase her lady again. Even when that man died, he would never let her lady go. For that man, her lady was the only love of his life.

"Lady Chang'e.." The cat murmured the name of her savior. "Even if This Ling Mao has to betray demon clan to be with you, Ling Mao will never regret it."

The cat heard the door was opened and Ming Yue entered the room with tired face. Came along with her was the Wu twins, Lin Zhao and Lin Shao. The cat heard the conversation from the outside clearly.

"Sister Yue, where have you been?" Lin Zhao asked as she saw Ming Yue slumped to the bed with a heavy sigh. "I called by your phone didn't active."

"I have been gone to the real estate agency." Ming Yue answered, "With a shameless person." She added with a scowl.

Ming Yue recalled the event with Zhi Qiang. That shameless man kept on following her, making all her plan needed to be changed. Now that she accepted him as her servant, that man even acted more lovingly and dotingly. It was tiring dealing with that man's stubbornness, Ming Yue was even wondering why did she fall in love with him in the first place. If she knew how stubborn and shameless that man was, she would stay far.. FAR FAR away from that man.

'Love is indeed blind, huh.' Ming Yue mused, wanting to slap her past self many times.

Lin Shao frowned slightly seeing the scowl on his Sister Yue's face, "Shameless person? Who?"

"Zhi Qiang." Ming Yue responded, didn't even bother to cover both her annoyance nor the truth. They would know soon since that shameless man stubbornly following her from now on.

"What?!" Lin Shao shouted and Lin Zhao hit his shoulder,

"Don't shout like that, mother and father will hear us!" Lin Zhao scolded her twin brother.

"I don't care about that! What I care is why that man is hanging around Sister Yue!" Lin Shao kept on shouting.

Lin Shao hated that man, because Sister Yue was suffering so much heartache in her past life because of him. Lin Shao might not know much about love but to make a person vowed that she would only live for herself and didn't need love, it showed how she had so much wounds in her heart. So much that she preferred to be alone..

Feeling warmed by Lin Shao's concern, Ming Yue smiled "It's okay. From now on that man is my servant, it is better this way."

"Servant?" The twins tilted their heads to side, stared at their sister in confusion.

Ming Yue's smile grew deeper, "Yes. Servant, the very meaning of it. It's his wish after all, it would be wrong not to take advantage of it, right~?" with that sentence, Ming Yue snickered mischievously.

The twins who watched such Ming Yue could only subconsciously grimaced, thinking that Zhi Qiang's fate was sealed this time. They were tormented between the feelings of sorry for that man's fate and the feelings of wanting to laugh at that man's suffering.

'As expected of Sister Yue, she is indeed a demoness.' Lin Zhao mused.

'Sister Yue's demon like behavior is sooo COOL!' Lin Shao praised inwardly.

If Ming Yue knew that her siblings had raised her level from the respectable hero to awesome demoness, she would be crying at the corner.

"Sister, let's go to Tianshang De Kongjian. I want to train more." Lin Shao exclaimed as he glimpsed at the electronic clock on the small counter next to the bed. "We only have three hours before sleeping.

"Ah right! I almost forgot about training!" Lin Zhao stated, lightly slapping her own forehead.

'Tianshang De Kongjian?!' The cat perked when it heard the name. 'So these mortals are My Lady Siblings and they know about Heavenly Space!'

'No, I have to make My Lady notice me before she goes to Heavenly Space!'

With that the cat made noises, scratching the door. Inside the room, Ming Yue frowned and turned to the door decorated with four window frames. She noticed a cat was scratching it, making noises as if wanting to be noticed. The twins saw the black cat and wondered how did it end up at the second floor balcony.

"My Lady!" The cat jumped toward Ming Yue who opened the door to pick it up.

Ming Yue was startled, not only because the cat jumped toward her but it spoke as well! Even the twins' jaw slacked down, staring at the black cat in disbelief. They knew about guardians, evil spirits and ghosts but now a talking cat?! This was too unbelievable!

Ming Yue caught the black cat and gazed upon those golden eyes. "Who are you? Why are you calling me your lady?"

'Eh? My Lady doesn't recognize me? Why?' The black cat mused, staring at the confused Ming Yue.

"My Lady, you don't remember This Ling Mao?" The cat asked, its eyes started to glittered with tears.

Ming Yue felt that name was familiar and when she saw its teary eyes, she felt her heart ached. But why? why her heart ached for this black cat? She clearly remembered that she had never met this cat before. No, crossed that. She had never met a talking cat before.

"I am Ling Mao from the Witch Clan!" The cat exclaimed.

"The Witch Clan?!" All three people spoke in sync.

Ghosts and evil spirits, heavenly beasts and now witch. Somehow Ming Yue encountered more and more mysteries of the world, yet.. somehow she had a feeling that this was just the tip of the iceberg...
