Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

Somewhere in mountain around A City.. Inside a hidden tomb..

A hidden tomb, filled with traps and magic arrays. Deep inside this tomb, a black sword existed. For thousand years, there was no reaction from this sword. However, the sword glowed dimly in red color as if sensing something from the outside world.

Voice echoed around the altar room where the sword laid. However there was no one around to listen to its voice.

The black sword shone brightly in red color and the tomb suddenly shook greatly. The shaking was so great that it could be felt from the nearby village in that area, making the little part of the mountain collapsed. Some villagers went to the mountain to check the collapsing part, making sure that there was no victim but they were surprised to find a tomb gate in a small cave.

"A tomb?" Long Zhi Qiang who arrived at the military base, frowned as he read the report given by his superior.

"Yes. It was a surprise for the villagers as well. who would have known that a tomb exists at the mountain near their village." A man with short black hair answered. His cunning look eyes stared at Zhi Qiang's expression. The frown on his face clearly amused the man.

"What? You don't want to do the mission?" Asked the man, a playful smirk was on his face.

Seeing his superior's playful behavior, Zhi Qiang didn't give any reaction at all. "I didn't say anything." he said, only showed the man a stoical expression.

"Your face did." The man retorted and stared at Zhi Qiang curiously, "I am really curious now Zhi Qiang, what made you changing residence to D City?"

"I will go and gather the team." Zhi Qiang spoke, ignoring the man's question. As he turned around with folder of information in his hand, the man spoke more.

"Is it a woman?"

Zhi Qiang stopped in his movement and the man stood up from his seat, moved around his desk and grabbed Zhi Qiang by the shoulders. It all happened in fast pace, the man tightened his grip on Zhi Qiang's shoulders, not letting him get away.

"Who is it? Who is the lucky woman who can move your iron heart?" Asked the man gleefully.

"Lieutenant General Zhou Gong Jin, it's best to not be so curious about your subordinate's private life." Zhi Qiang said in stiff tone, clearly didn't want to answer the man's question.

"Aw come now, I may be your superior but I am also your best friend. I want to know about the woman who can catch your eyes." Gong Jin said with a grin.

"I won't tell her name." Zhi Qiang refuted and hit Gong Jin with his elbow, causing Gong Jing to release his grip and winced in pain.

"You.. to think you dare to hit your superior." He complained, rubbing his stomach. His eyes stared at Zhi Qiang who walked toward the door.

Zhi Qiang paused when his hand touched the metal door knob, he looked over his shoulder and spoke, "You are my superior but you are also my best friend." He said and added, "Don't you dare investigating her." with that Zhi Qiang exited the room, leaving Gong Jin as he looked dumbfounded.

Soon a chuckle came out of him as he returned to the desk, opening the drawer and took a folder out of it. "I am sorry, my good friend." Gong Jin said as he opened the folder, "I already did."

His eyes stared at the information that was in that folder, along with pictures of a beautiful girl. It was Ming Yue! His finger touched Ming Yue's face, c.a.r.e.s.sed it softly "So this is the girl that has caught your eyes."

"..Ming Yue, age 15.. abandoned by her own parents and is known to be 'The cursed child of D City.'.. more over it's because she has the ability to see ghosts?" Gong Jin frowned slightly, "..So she has sixth sense, huh?"

"A beauty and has a sixth sense.." Gong Jin chuckled softly as he resting his back to the chair, "My good friend really has good eyes."

"This girl.. might be useful.."

Meanwhile.. in D City..

"What?" Ming Yue frowned, her face became grim. Currently she was talking with Mu Chen on the phone and the rest of her family was at the living room in Moon Palace. They turned their gazes at Ming Yue who now had grim expression on her face.

"Xiao Yin's mother was killed INSIDE Xiao Yin's hospital room? but how?" Ming Yue asked in confusion.

"I don't know the details myself, Xiao Yin's friends spread the news on WeChat." Mu Chen replied

"I see." Ming Yue said simply. In her mind, there were many conjectures but what most likely happened, it might be related to that snake woman whose name Ming Yue didn't know.

"Are you going to visit her, leader?" Mu Chen suddenly asked.

"Maybe later, I am a little bit busy at the moment." Ming Yue answered,

"Can I-- no can we come with you?" Mu Chen asked, his tone sounded nervous.

"Sure, I will text you the time soon." Ming Yue frowned slightly hearing Mu Chen's tone. Why did he sound so nervous?

"Thank you, Leader!" Mu Chen said and ended the phone call, Ming Yue lowered her hand and stared at the phone screen, feeling confused.

"Just now, you said Xiao Yin's mother has been killed. Is Xiao Yin the girl you punished the other day?" Grandpa Wu who was in the middle of playing Go Chess with Qing Long, stopped playing and asked the question. Not only Grandpa Wu, all people who were relaxing in their own way at that living room, stopped their activities when Ming Yue received the phone call.

"Yes. Mu Chen said that she was killed inside Xiao Yin's hospital room." Ming Yue answered, "..I have a feeling it might be related to that snake woman. I plan to go to there, there might be a lead."

"I am coming, Master!" Ling Mao put the book she was reading and stood up from her seat. "If it's related to that snake woman, then I can pick up the scent."

"I am going too!" Lin Shao stood up, leaving the scrabble he played with Lin Zhao. Of course, Lin Zhao stood as well. She didn't want to be left behind.

"I am coming as well." This time Xuan Wu spoke instead of Bai Hu or Qing Long. Bai Hu looked displeased and Qing Long gave Xuan Wu an inquiring look.

"Okay then. Bai Hu, Qing Long and Zhu Que stay here just in case. Grandfather, Father, Mother, I am going." Ming Yue said, "I won't be long."

Grandpa Wu nodded, "Bring Yang Lixin with you." he reminded Ming Yue. Ming Yue smiled and nodded, knew that her grandfather was prone to worry much about her well being.

"Be careful, don't do things rashly." Shi Jian spoke.

"Yue'er, I will leave the twins in your care. Please take care, you three." Fan Mei said with worried look on her face.

"What did you mean 'Leaving us in Sister Yue's care', have faith in us, mother." Lin Shao grumbled. Fan Mei softly glared at her son.

"It's because I don't have faith in you, that's why I ask Yue'er instead."

Ming Yue chuckled softly, "Don't worry, Mother. I will keep them safe. We are just going to visit a crime scene, probably we won't be able to see it though."

"At least we can visit this Xiao Yin as an excuse." Li Zhao said, deep down she was curious of the person who dared to slander her sister. She wanted to see the person with her own eyes.

The group left Heavenly Space and they used bigger car to drive to the hospital where Xiao Yin was in. Ming Yue texted Mu Chen by WeChat to meet her in front of the hospital instead because she had a group of people with her. Mu Chen replied saying that he understood and would inform the others.

Ming Yue didn't know that she would have an annoying encounter soon..
