Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

"Captain, I have to say.. this is the first time I get 'tomb expedition' as a mission." a man in military uniform spoke, this man was the vice captain of Black Falcon, Cao Wen.

Black Falcon was a team that worked under Zhi Qiang. It was a team who only moved under special orders and only did special missions. That very special team was now standing in front of the gate of tomb that was found by nearby villagers after a small earthquake.

"I agree, why do we have take this type of mission? I am good with living enemies but inside a tomb, there might some be undead shit." Another man spoke with great annoyance.

A soft laughter was heard and it came from another man next to the man who just spoke, "Lao Wei Qian, are you saying that you are scared now?" The man asked in tease,

"Shut up, Cao Feng. I just hate dealing with something I can't kill." Wei Qian retorted, glaring at the man. However his ears had slight tinge of pink color, as if he was embarrassed.

"That's because you watched too many of those horror movies. Undead or ghosts aren't real, okay? Stop being so superstitious." Cao Feng chuckled even more when Wei Qian glared at him.

"Cao Wen, please deal with this cousin of yours!" Wei Qian spoke in anger, his annoyance had reached its peak because of Cao Feng's teasing.

"Sorry, I don't have a cousin like him." Cao Wen easily dodged the responsibility.

Cao Feng touched his c.h.e.s.t and slumped slightly, pretending as if he got shot, "So ruthless cousin, you denounce me from the family already? What about our relationship? Our forbidden love?"

Seeing the dramatic action Cao Feng made, Cao Wen rolled his eyes and ignored the man. Another man reprimanded Cao Feng in deep yet sounded strict voice. "..Cao Feng.. enough playing.."

"Fine fine~" Cao Feng clicked his tongue and glanced at the stoic man, "You need to chilax for a bit, An Fu." He grumbled in soft tone.

"...You play too much.." An Fu said simply then didn't speak again.

"Captain?" Cao Wen called out to Zhi Qiang who seemed to be in a daze. It was something that he never did during the mission, so Cao Wen was somewhat worried. "Are you okay?"

Four pairs of eyes were directed at Zhi Qiang who had been silent the whole time.

It took a while before Zhi Qiang's parted to answer his vice captain, "Yes."

When his four subordinates were chattering, Zhi Qiang was silent because he felt something from the tomb. There was an energy, like it was calling for him. But why?

"Let's start the mission. Tombs usually full of traps, keep that in your mind all the time and be very careful." Zhi Qiang reminded them and he entered the tomb ahead of the others but as soon as he entered, he heard shouting.

"Captain!" "Ugh!" "What the-!" Ghh!"

Zhi Qiang turned around only to find that his men flew backwards, as if being blasted by invisible force and they fell to the ground. The tomb gate which was already opened by the time they arrived, closed down in fast speed.

"CAPTAIN!" The four men reacted quickly, they reached toward gate and so was Zhi Qiang from the other side, but both sides once again being repelled by invisible force. Zhi Qiang grunted as he stumbled backwards and feel on the stone floor while the other four men once again flew a meter away from the gate. They watched as the gate tightly closed.

"God dammit! The hell was going on?!" Wei Qian asked in frustration. "What was pushing us back?!"

"Captain! can you hear me!?" Cao Wen spoke through the wireless earbud, "Captain!"

A grunt was heard from the other side and soon Zhi Qiang's cold voice was heard, "..I can."

The four men breathed in relief, "Can you open the gate from the other side?" Cao Feng asked as he watched An Fu walked to the gate and tried to open it, punched it but it was futile.

"I can't. There is a strong force forbidding me to do that." Zhi Qiang words could be heard clearly.

"We can't use explosive either." Cao Wen commented.

"...We can't use hammer either.." An Fu spoke, the three pair of eyes gave him puzzled look. He nudged his head toward the gate, "...Punch it.. you will see why."

Cao Wen stepped forward and punched the gate but it didn't touch the stone door at all! It as if there was a strong force between the door and his fist. "..This is.."

"See?! This is why I told you I don't like this mission!" Wei Qian said in rage, "Now Captain is locked inside, all alone. We don't even know what the f.u.c.k is inside this tomb!"

"I am going to investigate." Zhi Qiang spoke the other side. "I will see if there is another way out of this tomb."

"Alright, captain. Please be careful." Cao Wen ended the conversation right there. He watched Cao Feng tried to punch hard the stone gate but he was stopped by a strong invisible force just like he did.

"What the hell is this, some kind of invisible barrier?" Wei Qian touched the door but he couldn't actually touch it.

"Sometime the only sane answer to an insane world, is insanity." Cao Feng made a comment, his face stared the stone door as his expression was extremely serious.

Hearing his words and watching his antics, Wei Qian snapped instantly. "STOP SAYING THOSE WORDS LIKE YOU OWN IT! THIS IS NOT SOME X-F*LES SHIT AND YOU ARE NOT FOX MULDER!"

"Aaah~ So you watch it too~ No wonder you are so panic~" Cao Feng grinned mischievously, his brows moving up and down.

Wei Qian grunted in anger, decided to ignore Cao Feng while An Fu stared at Cao Feng, "..A Feng.."

"Fine, I was just trying to lighten up the mood. We can't do anything to help the Captain anyway." Cao Feng pouted and booed at An Fu.

"No, you're trying to make me crazy!" Wei Qian shouted.

Cao Wen sighed as he shook his head, he didn't have the time to scold them. His mind was full of questions but the main question among those was..

'Why only Captain can enter the tomb?'
