Inside police department..

A man with dark brown hair sat behind the desk, his sharp eyes stared at three feathers which had dark green color, as if he might find some answers if he stared at it for long. A soft sigh soon escaped his mouth as he slightly ruffled his own hair, made messier.

Two cases..

Both of them had this feather left on a crime scene..

Was it intentional?

As the man was pondering the conjectures he had based on the fact he managed to gather, the words Xiao Yin said rang in his mind. Another sigh escaped the man's mouth as he shook his head.

'Monster huh?'

'Indeed, doing something like that.. only a monster can do it..'

The man mused inwardly but soon snorted in mockery. He ridiculed himself for thinking something like 'Monster' existed in this world. By thinking such showed how tired he was. No.. Maybe because he was frustrated about this case itself. He couldn't find any lead at all, not fingerprints, no CCTV records, not even a witness.

"Wang Wei ah, you haven't gone home yet?" A police came, putting his backpack on top of the desk near the man's desk.

"I am going to but this mutilation case occupy my mind." Wang Wei sighed, putting the evidence back to his drawer and locked it. He turned his eyes to the policeman, "How many people on night duty today?"

"Ten, Looks like some of them are going to be late." The policeman said, "The bast*rds are slacking off because the Superintendent is not in D City."

Wang Wei chuckled softly, "Should we tattle on them then?" he asked while taking the long black coat off the chair and wore it.

"Ye Wang Wei, are you trying to get me killed?" The policeman grumbled, "leave it be, they will come soon anyway."

Wang Wei laughed softly, taking his bag with him. "I am going then."

"Yeah, be careful, man."

Four words which glowed in the air shone bright and Ming Yue who stood in different location, closed her eyes as the view of D City was in her mind. Just like a virtual reality game that Lin Shao showed her once, she started moving first person view, roaming the street without moving her body at all.

That what Tiantang Zhi Yan was. It was called Heaven's eyes. By placing talismans at certain points, combined it with the power of four heavenly beasts, the formation seal was placed. Later, it could only be activated by the person who placed the seal.

The D City was quite big, using Heaven's Eyes was convenient because Ming Yue didn't have to go here and there searching for the demon. Ming Yue watched the scenery in her mind as if she was running in fast pace.

Ming Yue frowned slightly, still closing her eyes. Ling Mao stared at her master's expression, tension was shown on the cat's face. Judging from her master's expression, she hadn't found the demon yet. Ling Mao's mind soon wondered to the human called Yang Lixin, the man who she thought as older brother. Her eyes looked down below, noticing that the man was standing at the corner of a building across the building where Ming Yue stood. His eyes never left Ming Yue.

Yang Lixin was currently standing at the corner of a building while gazing at the top of a building across him. He recalled the conversation he had with his young miss before the mission started.

Ming Yue's steps faltered seeing Yang Lixin was standing in front of the house, with a car ready at her disposal. "Mr. Yang, what are you doing here?" She asked the question even though she knew the answer.

"I am your bodyguard, where you go, I will also go." Yang Lixin said. He was wearing black attire, just like Ming Yue. The difference was, his clothes were those special agents at movies. Turtle neck tight shirt with gun holders on each side and black jacket to cover it up, army pants and boots plus black hat.

"Mr. Yang.. this time I can't let you come with me." Ming Yue spoke her mind.

"Am I still untrustworthy to you, young miss?" Yang Lixin asked, his face looked bitter.

Ming Yue was stunned hearing the question and seeing how Ming Yue lost at words,, Yang Lixin spoke even more. "I know I might be useless but still, I wish to be by your side to protect you." he said earnestly.

True..

Not just because of his job..

After that incident at school, Yang Lixin felt many feelings surging from inside his heart.

'I want to protect her..'

'I want to fight by her side..'

'I want to support this special girl..'

Those were the feelings he had and Yang Lixin was surprised of it himself. He wanted the girl to trust him and to earn her trust, Yang Lixin decided to speak honestly.

"Mr. Yang.." Ming Yue sighed softly, "The enemy this time is stronger than the one I fought at school. I don't even know what power he possesses."

Yang Lixin knelt one knee to the ground, it caught Ming Yue off guard as she watched him with widened eyes. "Mr. Yang, what are you doing?! Please stand up!" She said frantically.

"I kneel because I want to pledge my loyalty to you, young miss." Yang Lixin lifted his head and smiled, "Isn't this the way a knight pledge in front of their lord in ancient time? I shall do the same."

"I, Yang Lixin, pledge my loyalty to Miss Wu Ming Yue. I will stay by her side, protecting her always, no matter what until death takes me away." Yang Lixin made a vow.

"Young miss, I don't care whether it is dangerous or the enemy is stronger, what I care is.. your well being. Please let me be by your side and protect you."

Ming Yue's lips parted slightly upon hearing the man's vow. Unbeknownst to her, at that moment, Yang Lixin was blessed by the power of Moon Goddess that was resided within her soul. Closing her eyes and heaved a soft sigh, Ming Yue gave in to Yang Lixin's plea.

"Fine. I hope you won't regret it later." Ming Yue grumbled in soft tone, "Just stand up already, it's embarrassing to see someone kneel in front me like this."

Chuckling softly at the memory, Yang Lixin still kept his eyes on the young girl on top of the rooftop. There was no light but Yang Lixin's eyes could see her shadow.

During that time, Ming Yue still searching for the demon. The frown on her face grew deeper for a while before..

Opening her eyes abruptly, Ming Yue finally spoke "Found him! Let's go!"

What Ming Yue saw in her mind was the malice that was enveloping the demon and it was directed at a group of college girls. He was trying to lure them into his trap which placed nearby. Ming Yue ran to side and used qinggong to jump between the two building then to another one.

"Mao Mao! Guide Yang Lixin!" Ming Yue spoke while running, "He won't be able to catch up with me!"

"Yes, Master!" Ling Mao jumped off from the building and rushed to Yang Lixin's side who was chasing after Ming Yue from behind.

"Yang gege! I will guide you!" Ling Mao started running ahead when Yang Lixin nodded.

Ming Yue put more energy in her qinggong as she jumped to the building across, the feeling of wind clashing on her face as she ran in fast speed, sent thrills to her heart, making her blood raced with excitement.

The group of college girls didn't know that they walked toward the trap, their mind were in a haze like being hypnotized. As they went toward the back alley of an empty building, Rui Chang Hu appeared from the darkness and was about to devour the girls but Ming Yue landed behind him.

"...Found you." Ming Yue stared at the man's back.

A sinister smile appeared on Rui Chang Hu's pale face as he slowly turned his body to face Ming Yue. His eyes glowed purple, filled with intense hatred and darkness.

"...No.. I found you.."
