Rebirth: Blades Of Exile

Chapter 6 - The hidden.

nighttime was approaching, and I was still sprinting through the sandy terrain's, thanks to my high constitution, I gained even more stamina, and was able to pull through such a feat.

I was running for several hours, with top speed at that, but it was no problem with my current body.

but I wasn't running mindlessly, there is a need to find a safe spot as soon as possible, you never know what could happen, actually, my body was all tense, and my heart was anxious, I could feel the temperature around me decrease, and the wind grows stronger by the second, these were the hints nature was giving me, and they are enough for me to guess what is coming.

A sandstorm.

there is no way in hell I could survive one right now, especially it being in this cursed trial, it surely will come with a debuff of its own.

at least my road was peaceful, the monsters were probably hidden to avoid the sandstorm.

roughly 2 hours later, I could see one hell of a disastrous, gigantic sandstorm coming after me.

Fortunately, I finally found shelter.

when I was running through this particular spot, the ground texture suddenly changed, it went from this sandy feeling into a rocky one, in simpler terms, it became more solid, so it picked my interests.

and luckily I did check it out, it seemed like this whole terrain was made of manufactured stone bricks.

and after further search, I found a gate with stairs leading underground.

problem is, I didn't know what was waiting for me down there.

so now I had two choices that I could take, stay and fight my way through the sandstorm, with my current constitution I can probably pull that off, but I would be vulnerable after the sandstorm ends.

if a monster shows up, id be dead for sure.

or, I could go down these stairs and face the waiting unknown.

let's do suppose I survived the incoming sand storm, there is a huge probability that a beast would sniff me out after the storm ends, and it might not be just one beast.

my chances of survival didn't go above 5%, well, this might as well be a suicide.

HUUUF

I took in a deep breath in and started heading down, it was a habit of mine that would show up whenever I was nervous.

With every step I took my anxiousness grew, these stairs gave me quite the eerie feeling, it was as if I was walking down the abyss itself, they seemed never-ending, but I took care to make my steps as silent as they can be, I was no rogue, but I did learn the technique from one of the best.

A smile cracked my nervous-looking expression, the memory of her soothed my worry-filled heart.

even though I can't remember her being, I'll never forget her actions.

It was dark as hell down here, my lighter was in my hand, but I didn't dare light it up, I'd be asking to be attacked if I did.

by the time I reached the end of it, my vision started adapting to the darkness.

taking in my surroundings, around me were the statues of gallant looking warriors, their heads held up high, and their swords piercing the ground, The banners of an all spiked hedgehog filled the walls, fancy but old furniture was littered all around the floor.

it was a small-sized hall.

after looking around a bit more, I found a huge door leading somewhere even deeper underground, but I didn't proceed further.

I needed to have some rest, especially after what I went through today.

heading towards one of the corners of the hall, I held Lost Fang even firmer in my hand, and instantly added more than 30 points into my DEX, while also investing the rest of my points into agility, thanks to my trait correction, I successfully broke through My dex and agility.

Several other notifications popped up, but I didn't have time to pay attention to them right now, because I could feel it watching me.

the moment I stepped into the hall, my sense picked up a faint feeling, it was a feeling akin to having cold water poured down your back, so I knew there was something dangerous hiding somewhere around here, and the moment my dex broke through, I perceived it.

the moment the distance between us reached 2 matters I used dash and jumped at one of the statues to my right.

[Stone Warrior, Level 123]

[Title 'The Challenger' taking effect]

I was by much much more faster then I used to be, but the bastard was still able to faintly dodge my blade at the last moment.

regardless, my ambush was still successful, my blade went through his shoulder, thus severing his arm.

once I successfully gained my grounds again, I dodged to the right, avoiding the incoming sword thrust, after failing his thrust the stone warrior was full of openings, but I didn't jump at him again.

These stoney guys had a core inside them that would explode the moment they saw no chance of survival.

so if I wanted to finish him off I had to do it in the quickest way possible.

Avoiding a wide horizontal slash, with minimal movements.

I started running towards him again.

1...2...3 DASH

the moment the cooldown was up, I used Dash while overlapping it with Limit Breaker, this time, I held my blade perpendicular to my c.h.e.s.t.

In the blink of an eye, I was right in front of the stone warrior, my blade penetrating his c.h.e.s.t, a blue liquid started pouring out from the crack that I caused.

and the big guy dropped to his knees.
