Rebirth: Blades Of Exile

Chapter 9 - The hidden 3 Part 2

A new path stood before me, something I have never experienced beforehand, I never thought about dual welding, as it requires you to train both your arms while also having to split your focus, even though I got the skill I'm still not sure if I could dual wield, especially splitting your focus part, never did I manage to pull that off or had to.

using both hands in combat while equipped was vastly different then unarmed combat, while also being different than being able to use a weapon masterfully regardless of the hand.

in my case, I cultivated my blade mastery using my right hand, while I also trained my left when the former got crippled.

this didn't necessarily mean I could dual wield,

but the ancients gods gift determined that I was able to.

[Dual-Blades wielding mastery: +350% Damage on the main hand, +300% Damage on the off hand]

After looking at the skills description, Link got up and steeled both blades in his hands.

He had decided it was better to test the skill in itself and how much potential he had in this area in particular rather than staying still and doing nothing.

walking down the streets of the medieval-looking ancient city, Link couldn't help but wonder at the existence of such a place once again, when he first descended to this location, he was truly stunned, everything was made of stone, while also looking as if it was made by human hands, which didn't make any sense, the stone looked so natural, there was no way it was carved.

because of the huge royal looking castle in the middle of the city, he speculated that it was once a capital city, but how it ended here he had no inkling.

what left him even more stunned, was that all of the citizens were petrified, still and unmoving, only those who were slightly stronger than your average Joe seemed to have become mindless stone swordsmen or warriors that aggravated anything that it didn't recognize as one of their kind.

regardless this place was surely cursed from it's very core to Petrification.

whoever made this possible, surely was a powerhouse from the high realms.

after traversing the silent streets of the stone city for a while, Link made it to what looked like an area for nobles to live in, just slightly further in, he came across what seemed to be a petrified man, being guarded by 5 stone knights.

their levels were between the 90s and 120s.

just the right opponents to test my dual blades mastery on.

link didn't bother to hide his presence and the knights had already taken notice of his existence.

entering a battle stance, they started carefully, walking towards him.

while taking a step ahead link thought.

about something, he heard in the distant past.

....

Roughly 4 minutes later, the 5 stone knights met their makers and link was sitting in a pose that told he was in an extremely focused state.

dual blade mastery... I never thought I would be so proficient at it.

when I started my fight with the knights' something strange happened, my trait and heightened reflexes and dexterous hands seemed to overlap, these passives corrected every mistake I made while dual-wielding, something that never happened when I used only one blade.

if he had to describe his current fighting style, it would be instinctive.

every move was made based on his heightened reflexes, while his target lock trait corrected the trajectory and precision of his attack, dexterous hands made his weapons even lighter, thus made it possible for him to be even more diverse.

it was a defensive with an unpredictable counter attack fighting style, something that made him the worst type of opponent to fight against.

you could never read his actions or predict his next move.
